So here I am in New York City with Kerstin. Only our second full day so far but it's been a total blast so far.
Yesterday we were up on the Empire State Building among other things and today we took a stroll down to the Bowery district to visit Joey Ramone Place. Also took in a trip to Ground Zero and Battery Park and a full trip up Broadway.
We were due to see Tom Petty but that fell through! Not to worry, we had a nice dinner at Miss K's on Fourth Avenue.
I'll try and update some more at another point in time.

I'd almost forgotten that David Beckham played football until on the news they were talking about his wonder goal against Kansas City.
Why they make a big fuss about it I'll never know. He actually gets paid to do this! Also I think I could have scored that goal. It is not such a spectacular goal at all. There have been a lot better goals than this one (including one by Beckham himself when he was with United). Watch the video:
Steven Curtis Chapman Family Tragedy

I had a wee note from a friend that shared a tragic story about Christian singer Steven Curtis Chapman and his family have experienced. Please keep this family in your hearts in the coming days. It is very sad and my heart goes out to the son who was driving the car. Here is the note:
One of Steven Curtis Chapman's six children was killed this afternoon when she was struck by a car said to be driven by her teenage brother in the driveway of the family's Williamson County home.
The child, Maria, age 5, was taken by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt Hospital, which confirmed the death, according to Laura McPherson, a spokeswoman for the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
She was hit by an SUV driven by her teenage brother, she said. Police did not give the driver's name.
The teen was driving a Toyota Land Cruiser down the driveway of the rural home at about 5:30 p.m. and several children were playing in the area, McPherson said. He did not see the 5-year-old in the driveway before the vehicle struck her, she said.
The accident was witnessed by two other children; the entire family was home at the time, McPherson said.
Veteran singer/songwriter Chapman and his wife Mary Beth have long been supporters of international adoption, having brought three girls from China into their family. Maria is one of their adopted daughters.
The couple is so active they formed an organization, Shaohannah's Hope, to aid families wanting to adopt.
The tragedy was announced during services at Harpeth Hills Church of Christ, which the family attends. The young girl had just graduated from the church preschool.
So today at work I'm listening to Laura Story's CD 'Great God Who Saves' and I'm thinking her voice is so familiar to me. Now most people wouldn't have a clue who she is at all. It seems that she is 'famous' for writing the song 'Indiscribable' that Chris Tomlin made famous on his 'Arriving' CD but that is not the whole story.
One of the tracks on the album is called 'Grace' and the moment she began singing I knew who she is and where I had heard her before. Back in 1996 she was in one of my favourite bands Silers Bald (I have an autographed picture on the wall of the band and there she is) and this particular song 'Grace' appreared on their fantastic debut album 'Climbing'. She released four albums with the band ( I have them all) before Silers Bald became an all guys band, made an album and vanished off the planet! Wow! I'm so glad she is still around because I always thought that she had such a great voice and that the song 'Grace' had the possibility of being one of those massive songs (well it didn't seem to be back twelve years ago but maybe this time around!) if given the promotion it deserved.
The mighty Chelsea are on the way to Moscow after a fantastic win over Liverpool 4-3 over the two legs.
Drogbha scored two fantastic goals, Frank Lampard returned after the death of his Mum last week. Frank converted a penalty which he dedicated to his Mum. It was a night of emotion at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea advanced to their first Champions League final.
They will face Manchester United in Moscow on May 21st.
