New Video from Rick's Billiards
Current mood: excited
Category: Music

Check out our video of the song "Same To You" which was recorded at Rick's Billiards in Putnam on August 2nd 2008 in a show we played with our good friends Lifedown. I realize the video isn't the best, but it is an example of one of the songs we are going to be recording for our full-length CD that we are currently working on.

Peace,
-Zak

What's up labia's and testcle's.  Down On Seven is in the studio working on their first full-length CD.  We've decided to take some time off from gigging to get this done.  We want to give you more DO7.  There will be 10-15 songs ready to violate your ears with.  So be ready when we are through, because we're taking it all out to you...sorry, random.

Down On Seven on WCCC HOMEGROWN 106.9
Current mood: anxious to record again
Category: anxious to record again Music

It's been too long since we've put much of anything up, SO here's what's up.  Several months ago, guitarist Kenny Blain left the band.  We wish him the best in what ever he does.  He's an awesome guy and a solid guitarist and we hate to see him go.  We have decided to keep this a four piece.

Since then, we have signed with Dragon's Wing Entertainment for management and played many shows with some great bands, both national and local, like Tantric, Lifedown, Mortal Madness, The Infinite Staircase, AILAIR, and the list goes on and on.  Everyone has been absolutely awesome to us.

Now, from Monday August 18th, to Thursday August 21st, Down On Seven will be the featured artists on 106.9 WCCC's Homegrown at 10:45 ESTwith Slater.  There will be a telephone interview on Tuesday night.  If you do not get WCCC or are not in the CT area, fret not, my good friends, you can go to www.WCCC.com and listen LIVE.

Last, but not least, we are going back into the studio, for the tird time since July of last year, to record a full length CD.  We will try, keyword try, to keep up on our blogs.

Peace,

-Zak

Finally the Nashville records have arrived
Current mood: aroused
Category: Music

We just put up our 3 songs we recorded down in Nashville TN.  Recorded by Vincent Todd and Gordon Hammond at the Sound Emporium studio and produced by Vincent Todd and Will Smith, we know you will all be pleased with the new recordings.  We'd also like to thank the Tyler Music Group for hooking us up with the deal.  We hope you all enjoy all of our hard work, but don't let all the work decieve you, we had a kick ass time in Nashville

Now go back to our profile page and rock out to some DO7.

NASHVILLE!!!! New music coming soon.
Current mood: ecstatic

Let me start by saying that Nashville was, by far, the greatest music experience we've ever had.  I'd like to thank Will Smith, Vincent Todd, Gordon Hammond, and Michelle Robertson for giving us this amazing opportunity.  Vince and Gordon did a phenominal job inside the studio.  As of right now, the entire team is working on post-production and mastering.  We have the rough mix right now, but we're going to hold out on putting them up on myspace until the work is done.  They are all an awesome team.
Now as far as Nasville in general, all I can say is WHOA.  There is so much talent in that great city.  There were songwriting showcases in the bar of our hotel and there was not one bad act what-so-ever.  We even went to a kareoke night and the bartenders had outrageously awesome voices.  The people were the absolute friendliest people I have ever seen in my life.  Whether or not you like country, it is an awesome city to visit and I would waste zero time going back there again.
In other words, do yourself a favor and go there.
Well, I'm still riding high on my whole experience there.

Peace,
-Zak

I really need to keep up with this...News & Updates
Current mood: overstimulated
Category: Music

Wow have I been lacking on keepping up on this, so I'll take care of this now.

First off, I'd like to thank Pullout Method and Sickline for having us at the Zen Bar in Farmington on Dec. 27th.  It was a fun time by all, including all of the "ball taps".

Next off, I'd like to thank Toad's Place for having us on Jan. 10th.  Yet another good time.  Kenny ran into an old classmate, and I ran into someone who was a regular at the old El n' Gee club in New London who remembers my old death-metal band, Odium.  That was refrehing.  We will be back there, just don't know when.

Next we did a show at City Sports in Bristol with Novus Dae (I apologise if I spelled it wrong).  We got a reaction that I did not expect.  I like surprises like that.

We have a show coming up Saturday Jan. 19th celebrating Bill & Fiel's birthdays.  We will be playing with Sickline & Pullout Method.  It's always fun to play with both of those bands and I can not wait.

Lastly, we will be leaving for Nashville, TN to record a demo with producer William Smith...not the "Fresh Prince"...and we are excited to be working with him.  We will be laying down 3 tracks that we hope will get the attention of some of the right people.

I hope to see a lot of you on Jan. 19th.

Peace,

-Zak

Update
Current mood: distractable
Category: Only because of ADHD Music

Howdy folks.  I realize that is been a while since we gave you the low-down on our ho-downs.  Wow, never let me think like that again.  Anyway, what the hell have we been doing?  Well, we now have the "Connecticut Rockers For Life" CD's from Ground Control/Illumina Records in.  It's a program to raise awareness on drunk driving.  CD's are $12 and we WILL be selling them at shows as well as our demo CD.  The price on our demo CD's are in the negotiation process right now.

We'd also like to thank Pullout Method for having us at their 3rd annual Tree Trimming Party.  Pullout Method, naturally, kicked ass as well as Sickline.  KEEP IT METAL!!!

We've also played several shows at the Webster Theatre.  It's always a pleasure to play there.  Ben & Justin, you fuckin' rock guys.

We've also had the pleasure (yes, that kind of pleasure...jk) of playing at Geraldines Nightclub in West Springfield, MA.  Teala (I hope that's the way it's spelled) you are kickass.  The soundguy really loves his job there, because he did a phenominal job.  We'd also like to thank Dennis Most (playing punk the way punk was supposed to be played) and Raw Misery.

DRAGONFEST!!!  What a blast that was.  So much music and beer all to raise money for Autism headlined by Dizzy Reed & Friends aka Hookers & Blow.  Thanks to Chrissy & Steve for throwing this awesome bash at Up Or On The Rocks.  There were too many bands for me to remember but YOU ALL ROCK!!!

New Guy
Current mood: content
Category: Music

Ladies & gentlemen, boys & girls, children of all ages, I'd like to introduce to you our new rythm guitarist, Kenny Blain.  If you've noticed that he shares a last name with our bassist and assumed that they were brothers, let me assure you that your assumptions are correct.  He busted his ass to get into this band and is now a certifiable member.  Just thought you'd all like to know.

Peace,

-Zak
