Hello loyal readers (the few I have,)
I just wanted to let you folks know that I'm wrapping up recording sessions with Litany this Tuesday on "Corporeal Landscapes." There was a technical glitch on the hard drive that the sessions were saved on so the final product is very different from the live performance (in case you were there.) This "glitch" has seemed to lend itself to a much richer sound than what was originally intended and has warranted some revisions to the poems from their original incarnation. I'm really excited with the results. When the album's ready, I'll let you know...
In other news, Polymer Grove: The Website is coming to be. My current state of unemployment has afforded me some much-needed play time with matters of small press and you can expect a modest website sometime between the end of October and mid-November.
There are also a few books in the works aside from those I last blogged about that will make their appearance in 2009; be on the look-out.
As for readings, I have a 10-15 minutes spot in the d.a. levy celebration on October 29th ($5 @ Luna's Café: 1414 16th Street, Sacramento 8PM) during which I will be performing a rendition of "Songs for Dead Children." A LOT of other amazing poets will be there including, but not limited to, D.R. Wagner, frank andrick, Kathy Kieth (Rattlesnake Press,) Miles Miniaci... oh hell, just look at the "flier" on my profile. Also, Rattlesnake Press is releasing a Luna's Anthology on October 30th (book release and reading held at Luna's and it's free) in which I'll be featured among MANY others. It promises to be greatness.
That's all for now... oh, maybe a haiku which first appeared on http://medusaskitchen.blogspot.com/2008_09_22_archive.html at the bottom of the page (along with an assortment of poems you've already read...):
The moon in a raindrop disappearing. A footprint takes its place.

Corporeal Landscapes
"Thank you," to those of you who made it to Monday's show. I had a great time performing with Litany (for a bit on the performance, click here.) For those of you who missed it, Litany and I are wrapping up a recording of the set and I'll be releasing it on Polymer Grove soon. The recorded tracks sound slightly different (a little longer, etc.) so even if you were there on Monday, you might want to check it out. I'll be sure to upload a few on my music page. There may even be some YouTube-age of the event... I'll keep you posted.

Update (Polymer Grove Propaganda)
Category: Blogging
I know, I know, the poems have been few and far between. For the handful of loyal readers that I have, I assure you that I don't forget my blogs (yes, I have a few...)
Lately, much of my writing has been journaling (of the boring variety) and not suitable for this arena. That does not mean I haven't been putting in the thought for my next book (not a chapbook, but a Kissing Einstein-sized book.) Last Days of Blue has been on my plate for a couple of years now and is undergoing constant revision. Kissing Einstein took me ten years, but I doubt the same will hold true for my next major effort... Also on the table is a new album; six tracks deep already, I think this will be out long before LDoB. It's a departure from "affected" in many ways. "Pillowed in the Steap" and "Toybox Spilled Blood on the Moon" are two of the songs from the new album and you can listen to them on my music page (myspace.com/dphunktmusic); let me know what you think.
Also in the works is a PolymerGrove website which I hope to have ready in October. Books I'm publishing by others (in early 2009) include A.D. Winans' "No Room for Buddha," Matthew Bambas' "Standing on Stilted Light," and B.L. Kennedy's "Neurosonnets." These are some brilliant manuscripts and will be hand-bound in a format that suits their unique content.
Lastly, in case you missed it, check out my interview on Jane Crown's show in the archives section of JaneCrown.com. Of course, if this blog bored you, you may want to skip it...
Okay, I'm off to frolic in the wonders of advanced accounting information systems analysis and control... ugh.
