Amanda Returns To NYC...THRICE!

The Citizens Band presents "The Panic is On" featuring Amanda! Not once, not twice, but THRICE! Sunday, September 7th through Tuesday, September 9th (all shows at 10PM)
Here's the deal:
The Citizens Band - a politically minded collective of musicians, actors, and performance artists that came together in response to the results of the 2004 election - has addressed issues like health care and the environment in dazzlingly decadent, Weimar-cabaret-style productions. The troupe performs its sixth show, "The Panic Is On", an id-and-underbelly extravaganza of song and dance, longings and fears. While most of the songs sound vintage, the themes - war, poverty, xenophobia - are all too resonant in today's age of anxieties. The glittery cast features the trapeze artists Sarah Sophie Flicker and Chelsea Bacon and the vocal divas Rachelle Garniez and Angela McClusky. They will be joined by two special guests for these performances, Nina Persson, of the Cardigans, and guess who...Amanda Palmer, of the Dresden Dolls!
The Spiegeltent is proud to welcome these visionary cabaret co-horts, The Citizens Band, for a three-night blow-out residency and we hope that you can make it out to at least one of the shows...."The Panic Is On," their sixth original show, finds the troupe trapped in a makeshift bomb shelter, where they're forced to find common ground and hope in a terror filled world...with Amanda there, how could you go wrong?
Tickets are available NOW while they last (but be warned, this is a SMALL room and they're going fast)...those of you who saw Amanda there last month can attest to how intimate this venue is!

While Amanda won't be attending the screening, on the day WKAP comes out in North America (September 16th), there will be a showing of the WKAP video series at Joe's Pub in NYC...the NYC debut, in fact. Recorded in Amanda's bedroom with an audience of two: Brian Viglione and Dave "Taper Dave" Mcglocklin to test out Amanda's new microphones, sometime in 2003/4.

While there are no good pictures of the gear from Dolls shows and such (it's all black, so it disappears in pictures), everything is like new and ready to rock. The road cases have a very minimal amount of wear on them, great condition though.
