Tired of this shit
Another friend gone...
I've already lost too many friends to stupid shit.
Some have died, and some have been reduced to nothing more than a hollow shell of their former selves. All because of opiates and/or meth.
It's seriously gotten to the point of frustration and anger. I'm sad, don't get me wrong, but it's different now. i'm just pissed off.

life update
Current mood: cheerful
haven't posted a blog in a while, i usually only do it when i'm really pissed off or depressed about something. so i've decided to post a happy blog. things have been going pretty well. chelsea and i got back together and things are going well with that. work has been good. and i've got a few more good gigs lined up this spring and summer. i've been having lots of fun and enjoying myself thoroughly.
I'm glad christmas is over, i love giving gifts, but i always feel so ragged. too much shit compacted into such a small timeframe. maybe i'll start REALLY celebrating festivus, because it takes place anywhere between december and may. haha.

*LIVE*
Hallucination Recordings/ Contagious Musiq :: Tampa, FL.

Jackal & Hyde have been called "the purveyors of the hardcore-electro sound" (Electro-core), a combination of industrial laden electro beats and devastating keys. Partners Scott Weiser and Todd Walker formed Jackal & Hyde in 1998, in an effort to combine a harder edge sound with the dance floor sensibility of Electro/Industrial and Techno. Besides their original work, Jackal & Hyde's sound has been requested for multiple remix productions including Kid Rock, No Doubt, Love & Rockets, Limp Bizkit, and Genitorturers, among others. Together, Jackal & Hyde have had a string of successful releases on their original label Hallucination Recordings owned by techno gurus Rabbit in The Moon. Their songs have been licensed by many of the top DJ's in the World for a wide array of compilations by the likes of Westbam, Andrew Weatherall, DJ Icey, Taylor, Simply Jeff, Baby Anne, and 'Hero of Hard-core' Omar Santana to name a few. Their shows are known for cutting edge, in your face music and unbelievable visuals by Hallucination on film. Jackal & Hyde have had just about every World Renown Breaks/Electro/Techno/Hard House DJ open up for them, and have Co-headlined with a wide variety of bands from BT, Genitorturers and Rabbit in the Moon, to Busta Rhymes, Tech 9, and The Kotton Mouth Kings at venues all throughout the U.S. and abroad. Their shows are simply devastating, and their sound is absolutely unforgettable.
DJ MONK Hallucination Recordings/ Hallucin8trax/Heineken/Pornstar::Tampa,
www.djmonk.com

From small dark clubs to massive outdoor festivals, always turning it out - it is here where you, the subterranean public may encounter The Monk...... the Mack-Of-All-Trades, dj/producer/artist and overall hustler of culture. Banging out a soundtrack of underground party music that jumps from hard house and breaks to slamming disco-tech, and twisted techno, to drum and bass rinse-outs, the dreadlocked Monk punishes the crossfader as he works one record against another in a style that owes more to hip hop than to conventional club DJ'ing. As one of the Founders of Rabbit in the Moon, Pimp Juice and Hallucination Records, Monk is a corner stone of the Southeastern U.S. Scene and has established himself as a devoted player in the Electronic Music Industry worldwide. Best known for his early work and collaboration with Confucius in the collective "Rabbit In The Moon" and as the opening dj to the RITM live show for over a decade ('92-2002), Monk is breaking new ground with several new innovative audio-visual projects. One of the most versatile djs around, Monk is known for his unique dj sets ranging from his traditional hardbangin' house -vs- funky breaks style with a touch of drum & bass & hip hop, to a deeper "Dark Side Of The Monk" set that leans toward a darker tech-house meets tribal & disco house style. If Monk can't make yo' booty move, yo' booty must be dead. Voted in BPM magazine as receiving the "most fan email nominations" in the country and one of Americas Favorite DJs - March 2003, Monk has forged his place in the underground dance community. A forefather of the Hallucination-Generation, originator, innovator, guaranteed to rock tha party, Monk continues to freak the funk week in & week out headlining shows across the nation.

Red Tara Practice, Tuesday 7:30 p.m. for Jordan
On Tuesday, we will be holding a red tara meditation practice at my house at 7:30 p.m. for all who would like to attend. This is a visualization practice that we are going to dedicate to Jordan, where we send compassion and love to him in the place he is in. Once he senses this compassion and love, he can feel it and it helps him and us to move on, and to feel okay about what happened, and to help us get past the judgement of the manner of which he died, and helping us to realize that that was his path. The goal is to get rid of the judgement and negativity surrounding the circumstances of his death and to get in a good place by accepting the reality of how he died, and knowing that no matter what happens, we are all in a good place. There will be an altar set up to place offerings of music, food, water, light (tea candles), all of the things that we recognize as being healthy and good without judgement (by without judgement, i mean that there will be no judgement as to what is placed on the altar as an offering) We will start by going over the basics of breathing in meditation. If you prefer to sit on the floor, you may want to bring a cushion, but there will be chairs and a sofa to sit on as well (there is no right or wrong position). Then we will start the red tara practice. If you have any other questions, please send me a PM

"The Jabberwocky" by Lewis Carrol
JABBERWOCKY Lewis Carroll (from Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There, 1872)

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe: All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe.
"Beware the Jabberwock, my son! The jaws that bite, the claws that catch! Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun The frumious Bandersnatch!"
He took his vorpal sword in hand: Long time the manxome foe he sought -- So rested he by the Tumtum tree, And stood awhile in thought.
And, as in uffish thought he stood, The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame, Came whiffling through the tulgey wood, And burbled as it came!
One, two! One, two! And through and through The vorpal blade went snicker-snack! He left it dead, and with its head He went galumphing back.
"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock? Come to my arms, my beamish boy! O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!' He chortled in his joy.
`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe; All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe.
