"Riot on Sunset Strip" celebrates the music of Love, and Gary McFarland

Today on "Riot on Sunset Strip," there will be a two-hour stream of music by the quintessential L.A. band of the 1960s - Love... and, to compliment their dynamic array, we will juxtapose Love with sounds by Gary McFarland, the L.A. born-and-raised vibraphonist/music arranger of Modern Jazz/Bossa Nova... the consumate '60s hepcat swinger, who took his style to New York City and made good, recording with the likes of Antonio Carlos Jobim, Airto, Gabor Szabo, Lalo Shifrin and many others... eventually forming the Skye Records label with Cal Tjadr.
