Gargoyles...dangerous, stubborn, intelligent, loyal to those they're duty bound, superhuman strength, don't talk a whole lot and use very unpredictable methods for accomplishing their goals. Jason Petrone is no exception. Having him as a security specialist at Sundown Security can be a challenge in and of itself. Add their new client, TV inspirational talk show host Rebecca Vanderhoss-a beautiful, powerful white witch with trauma induced amnesia to the mix and trouble begins to brew. I know Jason, gargoyle or not, will follow through, finish the job and protect Rebecca at all costs, but falling for a witch can be tricky, even if you're known to have a heart of stone.

I thought I had a heart of stone too...but little princesses have a way of slowly but surely chipping away at that stone without you even knowing it. Now I can't decide if I want to choke her lily white neck or kiss her lush, berry red lips. Both are equally tempting...

I don't know how much more of this I can take! The "little princess" is tearing me up from the inside out. If her daddy weren't paying me an obscene amount of money to watch over his very stubborn, very independent, and very high maintenance 28 year old heiress, I'd seriously consider bending the little mortal over my knee and giving her the spanking she so richly deserved. Unfortunately, I'd probably enjoy that WAY too much. I'll just have to stick to plan A. Play her bodyguard for as long as necessary. But when the danger is over...I'll be long gone without a second look back.

I guess it's all in a day's work owning and operating a personal security firm.Yet sometimes...sometimes the vamp in me just wants to let loose and show those I choose to protect exactly how dangerous and precarious life can be. If they only knew how real the boogey man actually was.

But that is for another day...
