whir click
a familiar gravelly whir stirs and then the clunkity click sticks to my bones and lifts my eyes
the glide lasts much longer than it should slow-mo-fiction-good whir click gravel clunk whir click whir
tone of a truck backed by twines of belly side flux against smooth cement lines
a line through time rewinds a curious heart departs sticks to the grip of the deck and flies

gone
gone departed left one remains and notices one goes away gone
how long do we wait until we deem...gone? why does it feel so far away...gone? what difference does being here make from being...you guessed it...gone?
once gone happens how do you know it was ever actually here in the first place? and if it was never actually here to subsequently be perceived as gone, why does gone carry so much weight? why so heavy?
a fly on your windshield once was and then suddenly gone well all but the remains a mess on your windshield
how long will we drive bending neck to see around the soiled view?
sun sets and we remain watching for the signs that the rising may come from the point of being gone imagining that little green flare so we can hold on to some remnant of what has gone
here or no it's gone

be ware the crab
Category: Automotive
beware the decapod crustacean amidst a molting season for when the exoskeleton is shed all ignored is average reason
desireful as she may be and eager to disrobe her home the flowing crushing sea may fright her love to close
reproach or reclothe
the moments found in between the walls of broken glass show tender flesh amiss of sheen that fast away repast
no subtleties or gentle way the fortress hastens to attempting to turn hurt abay and fight off pain undo
so not new so not true
the crab won't warn or slow the pace no conscience torn on saving face
just raw flesh there defenses nye with natural flair she punches high
no where or why just build or die
beware the crab whose flesh is bare beware the heart whose love has been shared

living my life i think it's all real i taste food and hear words smell flowers and feel
and every once in a while i wonder if "real" is real is any of this is really happening to me wonder if i really met those people i called friends did i really hold those hummingbirds in my hands wonder if i was ever really held close, kissed tenderly too did i really meet you, love you, lose you
or do i just have a vivid imagination

school of love
an empty kiss or none at all what love is i've no recall no memory of lovers snuggling no example to aspire to a meager spattering of couples to show me when love's true i learned my math in books and proofs good business skills from men in suits to cook and clean and organize the sights i've seen beyond most eyes but ask me what it means to love or when that feeling's real i'll have no answer but a shrug i've no grasp of love at all

i am - an exercise
(this note goes at the bottom, but i know many of you will not make it that far through my list. This is my list of adjectives that describe wonderful me. I’m not bragging, in fact, i’m mostly repeating what other people try to pound into my thick, self-defeating head. It’s an exercise - in knowing myself, in loving myself, in recognizing what i have to give to you - you who are the rest of ME. Plus it feels good to recognize your qualities, in writing, concentrated.
I highly recommend each of you do it. Not that we need to start a bulletin-reposting-madness. You could just think it while you’re driving, or write it on an old trader joe’s paper bag. but here is mine for example, and also for making me openly accept me. many thanks to those who are quoted below.)
i am... everything valuable loved; giving caring lovely; patient intelligent soothing; observant enthralled expressive; artisitic athletic talented; poetic kind aware; focused allowing successful; beautiful fun fun-loving; free-spirited adventurous cuddly; connected precise sexy; responsible spontaneous lazy; angelic devilish godly; appreciative funny fearless. thoughtful spacey grounded crazed i am worthy

Flow yourself gently where you go
From Daily Om April 9, 2008 Let Yourself Be Carried The Flow of the Universe
The flow of the universe moves through everything. It is in the rocks that form, get pounded into dust, and are blown away. It is in the blossoming of a flower born from a seed planted in the spring. The growth cycle that every human being goes through is part of this natural flow, which is also the current that takes us down life’s paths. When we move with it rather than resisting it, we are riding on the universal wave that allows us to flow with life.
Many people live struggling against this current. They try to use force or resistance to will their lives into happening in the way they think it should. Others move with it like a sailor using the wind, trusting that the universe is taking them exactly where they need to be at all times. This flow is accessible to everyone because it travels through and around us. We are always riding it—it is just a matter of whether we are willing to go with it or we resist it. Choosing to go with the flow is often a matter of relinquishing the notion that we need to be in control at all times.
The flow is always transporting you where you need to go. It is merely a question of deciding whether you plan on accepting the ride or having it take you there with your feet dragging. Learning to step into it can help you feel a connection to a force that is greater than you and is always there to support you. The decision to go with the flow takes courage because you are surrendering the belief that you need to do everything by yourself. Riding the flow of the universe can be effortless, exhilarating, and unlike anything you ever expected. When you are receptive to being in it, you open yourself to possibilities that exist beyond the grasp of your control.
As a child, you were naturally swept by the flow. Tears of sadness falling down your face could just as quickly turn to tears of laughter. The mere tiniest wave carrying you forward off the shores of the ocean could transport you into peals of delight.
Our souls feel good when we go with the flow of the universe. All we have to do is make the choice to ride its currents.

chasm
so many lovers and nothing to love so many razors and nothing gives blood the distance from one to the other i’ve found winds straightly through fear
what about dreamers who live in a dream big hearts who turn heartless just trying to be their homes are both weightless. walls under seige yet no one will hear
the chasm is filled by a fathom of cries. false sorrow, regretful morrow, what dies?
you and i
