Tomorrow on the UK's Paramount Comedy Channel, there's a documentary about the nascent days of the cable channel and my earliest TV work with Matt Lucas, David Walliams, Julian Barratt, Simon Pegg and the then Jessica Stevenson, screens tomorrow.
My first two TV jobs were MASH & PEAS - with Matt & David - and then ASYLUM with Simon, Jess, Julian, Bill Bailey, Walliams again and many others.
Pretty great company to be keeping so early in my career - I was 21 on Mash & Peas. Crazy...
Here's a CHORTLE article about it - with some cool embedded clips from ASYLUM and some interview chat from me, Simon, Julian and others.
The full documentary is very interesting. Check it out.
p.s. I remember the Dominic Diamond / Mash & Peas incident vividly. And it was pretty damn hilarious. I miss Gareth Mash and Danny Peas. They were some of the best bad doubleacts ever.
An excerpt of an interview I did for Paul Davis' BEWARE THE MOON documentary about the making of one of my very favourite films, AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON.
This link to a Japanese TV interview me and Simon did on Eigo De Shabera Night back in May is pretty funny to watch, if only for the hilarious bit of voiceover when I join the clip halfway through.
Get yo' ass over to SPACEDINVASION.COM for a freshly minted clip shot this very afternoon in the office.
See me, Jess & Pegg sayin hello to our American cousins on the eve of our tour.
It's looks as tight and rehearsed as it was. Not very.
But still; Tim & Daisy reunited, me looking like a sleazy producer from the Cannes Film Market (a distinct difference to the Cannes Film Festival) and an encore for an old foam battleaxe from the SPACED set.
SPACED: INVASION USA - The full tour details!!! July 18th - July 27th

(Please no bitching and whinging about cities we're not coming to. It's a miracle the three of us can reunite for these four dates!)
Anyway here we go...

Session Jason and Edgar take the stage with their offering of a masterclass on their vision of feature comedy.
Speaker Jason Reitman Edgar Wright"
Yes, you read that right. Apparently I am giving a masterclass on my vision of feature comedy. I predict it will actually be just the two of us wittering.
Having sat through those episodes at the Los Angeles Film Festival - it occured to me that there were a few more Brit references that were worth providing visual aids for.
Behold the mighty Twiglet; yeasty, polarising stick like snack...
Who the hell is Wilfred B* Ramble - name checked in 1.6 episode as Tyre's clubbing name.
Then let me introduce you to Wilfred Bramble, the weasel faced star of Steptoe And Son - the long running UK sitcom that inspired Sandford And Son.
Confused by Brian's reference to "It's A Knockout"; I give you one of the stupidest games from the 1970's and 80's.
NB. "It's A Knockout"s French title was Jeux Sans Frontieres - which in turn inspired the title of Peter Gabriel's 'Games Without Frontiers'. Fact.
Don't say I don't ever give you the heads up...
