Rudy Scalese, Director of Development for Nala Films, to Appear as a Special Guest at the 2008 Eerie Horror Film Festival

Edinboro, Pa. (6/18/08) - Rudy Scalese, the Director of Development for Nala films and producer of the critically acclaimed documentary, "Going to Pieces: The Rise and Fall of the Slasher", will be appearing as a special guest at the 2008 Eerie Horror Film Festival this October.

Scalese also produced the critically acclaimed Horror documentary "Going to Pieces: The Rise and Fall of the Slasher" for Starz/Encore that ThinkFilm released on DVD.

The documentary, based upon the book by Adam Rockoff explores the infamous sub-genre that began with "Halloween" and gave birth a floodgate of films including "Friday the 13th", "Prom Night", "Terror Train" and "My Bloody Valentine" and how they continue to leave their mark on the current genre boom of films like "Saw" and "Hostel".

Prior to his position at Nala Films Scalese ran the Screamfest LA Horror Film Festival and oversaw the programming and all festival screenings along with Festival partner Academy Award Winner Stan Winston. He also worked as a manager for writers including Jake Wade Wall ("When A Stranger Calls" 06, "The Hitcher" 07) Pierce Gardner ("Lost Souls", "Dan In Real Life") and actors Brent Spiner ("Introducing Dorothy Dandridge", "Geppetto") Devon Sawa ("Idle Hands", "Final Destination") & Bokeem Woodbine ("Life", "Ray").
