ELECTRIC WIZARD PUT DOWN BONGS FOR 5 MINUTES AND ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING!

Yes ghoul fans it's true, ELECTRIC WIZARD have entered a studio and started recording their new LP record, as yet untitled. Some basic tracks have been laid down and one song has been completed.
Recording sessions are scheduled until the end of June, then hopefully we will see a release by the end of the year.
Of the the new material the band said, "Its about the riffs man" and the as yet undisclosed studio, "Its totally authentic 60's recording studio just like Sabbath would have recorded, absolutley no modern shit at all, its a real honor to be able to record here and to work with people who understand our sound and equipment."
The band are characteristically evasive about song titles, lyrics etc etc...but did let me know that they had planned a 20 minute organ led epic entitled 'Black Magic Rituals And Perversions'.
Fuck all naysayers, the real ELECTRIC WIZARD is back!!!!!!!!!!

Hail Wizard Coven.
After a year of uncertainty ELECTRIC WIZARD return with a new line-up and a new album.
The story so far:
Following the successful Cathedral/Grand Magus tour in February 2006, bad vibes and failed projects threatened to destroy the band (yet again!). Characteristically we withdrew into the smoke wreathed dopehaze of misty Dorset. The time had come for re-evaluation, in other words, more bong hits, intense occult study and endless 70's exploitation movie mania (check out 'Last House On Dead End Street' & 'Ich Ein Groupie').
Something was wrong with ELECTRIC WIZARD.
The freak vibe was running thin, we were becoming just another band...something had to change! We needed the power of the riff and we needed ritualistic occult rhythms, primal & decayed!! Various occult classics had re-instated to us the importance of music to ritual psychodrama. You are our coven!!
Together we can fuck the world!!
We needed to jam!! We needed to reawaken to the true spirit of ELECTRIC WIZARD.
So we got together with a local drummer, Shaun Rutter (70s throwback biker, born to drum/doom, honed skills in 7 hour ritual drumming sessions for satanists) and played because we fuckin loved it. not a fuckin job!! Riff after blackened riff of psychotic acid doom flowed again!!
And from these feverish sessions has risen the skeleton of a new album, which we hope to record in April/may depending, of course, on finding a studio that will have us.
The vibe is total 70's occult doom. heavy fuckin' ritual shit.
Come my fanatics.........

Oh yeah...everyone asks about gigs. the thing is we only want to play outdoors, in a field or forest or something. Cool shit! yeah?! Any ideas?? You tell us, we play.
