A fun acapella version of one of my faves

Posted a version on one of my faves from the White Album. No tricks just a microphone and a Neve mic-pre set to various gain stages. All "instruments" achieved with our voices including the guitar solo...Hope you enjoy and grab it just it case we have to take it down...Alain

Update from 11AD...

It's been too long again since we posted. Got 5 new tracks done for the new Eleven album and we hope to finish by July. Will post some new songs soon. We are going to start playing a few shows locally by then to get our live legs back. Natasha and I are finishing production on a great young band from Jackson...Have left the touring side of the Queens but am proud of my engineering and mixing on Era Vulgaris. Quite an intense and satisfying rollercoaster. Jack, Natasha and I have stripped our asses down to the skin and are exploring the sound of us in a room with no frills. I am very excited and hope you will dig where we are at...Bye for now with love, Alain

Back to Eleven...

So here we go! Natasha and I have been traveling all year rockin' out and having a blast in QOTSA. It was great to get our live legs back. Met some great people and played for amazing audiences. Now we are back home. Melodies, words and grooves are brewing in our subconscious percolator. Jack is in great form and playing better than ever. We can't wait to get started on the new Eleven album! We will document our progress as we go. A big thank you to our fans for the inspiration you give us daily. And now...

Natasha and Alain and Queens of the Stone Age

Dear Eleven fans,

As many of you know, Natasha Shneider and Alain Johannes are touring with Queens of the Stone Age on their current world tour in support of Lullabyze to Paralyze. For those of you have a chance to catch this tour, we recommend that you run not walk to wherever you can see them. QOTSA bring the rock, people. It's heavy, hard and beautiful, all at the same time. WOW.

Check out the Queens on SNL this Saturday, May 14th. They will be playing "Little Sister" and "In My Head" (which is bound to be stuck in everyones head this summer). Will Ferrell is the guest host, so there should lots of laughs and even more cowbell than anyone would ever imagine.

As for Eleven, they just recorded a track for an upcoming Queen tribute with Joshua Homme. They covered "Stone Cold Crazy", and added their own groove to it. Jack Irons just killed on the drums. Natasha and Alain sound great. And Joshs' vocals are really, really cool. More information about this track coming soon...

Jack's solo CD, Attention Dimension, is available on the Pearl Jam website or on Jack's site http://www.jackirons.com This CD really grows on you. There are all sorts of cool songs and guest appearances. The usual suspects like Vedder, Gossard, Ament, Johannes, Shneider, Claypool and others play on Attention Dimension. This is a must have CD for fans of one of the most intriguing drummers in Rock.
