Ebay auctions
Category: Blogging

Armed with a current stock of 3,000 videos, dvds, and video games, I've been unloading an average of 100 items per week on Ebay.  Most auctions start at $2 each.

We have Filipino kung fu flicks, MGM musicals, classic westerns, cheesy revenge films, 80's T & A romps, Italian zombie gore, cop thrillers, romantic comedies, foreign films, documentaries, unaired pilots, made-for-tv movies, Roger Corman-ish b-movies, Hong Kong actioneers, sci-fi, sappy dramas, screwball fart comedies, war flicks, and big budget blockbusters.  Please inquire about our catalog.

     Auctions can be found at:

http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfrtsZ50QQsassZcolonelcrapper

There are literally dozens of movies on our "buy-it-now" section that you probably won't find anywhere else.  And if a price is too high, make an offer.  Or if you'd rather stop by in person, you can buy the movies for even cheaper!

New Year’s Resolutions Massacre
Current mood: determined

Back in December, I started up my list of New Year's Resolutions.  Every year I make a list of maybe 5 things to do.  This year I suddenly felt a huge change was needed.  The list kept growing and hell, there's things not even listed here.  I keep adding to it almost weekly.  Here's some of the stuff I need to achieve/do:

Return to screenwriting - I've written a half-dozen films over the years, but have semi-retired for the last two years due to some pathetically low offers.  Maybe this year will fare better.

Gain 20 pounds of muscle - I have a ridiculously high metabolism, but maybe if I eat 8 meals a day that'll change.  Lots of cookies, too.

Learn a new language - English is getting boring!

Attend a demolition derby - James Gunn's blog about going to a demo derby has me all pumped up to see one!

Attend a roller derby - hot chicks in short shorts beating each other up?  I'm in.

See Rush in concert - my favorite band of all-time.  I really dig Xanadu, Fly By Night, Red Barchetta, Tom Sawyer, Working Man, etc.

Go to another baseball game - I've been a lifelong baseball fan and pretty good with stats.  Too bad most of my fave players are pretty much retired.  I used to play a lot of baseball, softball, and wiffleball.  Kind of miss it.  :-(

Go to my first hockey game - definitely a STL Blues game.  Do you know how excited I was when Gretzky and Hull played together?  Plus, I played hockey in my teens.

Do some acupuncture - it might hurt, but it looks awesome.

Dye hair black - actually as of this posting, my hair is black.  Yay!

Paint truck camouflage - I used to have a '93 camo Isuzu Amigo.  Boy do I miss it.

New website - www.ericspudic.com has always had a generic look.  Time to make it fancy.

New headshots - the "current" ones are 2 years old already.

Do a movie overseas - I've had an itchin' to do a movie in Bulgaria, South Africa, or the Philippines.

Take another acting class - sure, I've been in 35 feature films, but that doesn't mean I'm a great actor.

Visit Biloxi again - my favorite place to shoot.  That's where PSYCHO SANTA and DEAD CLOWNS were shot.  They got gators there!

Head to Vegas again - every year I stay in the fancy Venetian and bring along hundreds of dollars, hoping to turn them into thousands or millions.

Spend the night on the Queen Mary - I've already done the tour, but wanna spend the night and do a "self-guided tour".  Hehehe.

See some famous horror film locations - I've been in Hollywood over 3 years, but just never seem to have the time to navigate...

Do the splits - I've been a martial artist for 20 years, but have never done the splits.  Let's change that.

2007 in review
Current mood: nerdy
Category: Blogging

Jan/07 - The films I did recently were SUPERGATOR, starring Kelly McGillis, and SUPERCROC for the Asylum.  SUPERGATOR aired on Sci-Fi Channel.  Holly Weber looks yummy!  SUPERCROC hit dvd in April.  The Fangoria convention in San Jose was a bit dead, but a great time for me anyway. The Winchester mansion was huge and creepy. Unfortunately all the pictures I took were ruined. Maybe it's time to drop my old-school ways and buy a digital camera.  Almost went to Ostrichland, maybe next time.  Quit my dayjob, too, as general manager of an adult dvd company.  I bought out a video store so now I have thousands of movies to keep me occupied.

Feb/07 - Been selling TONS of movies on Ebay.  Check out those auctions! Posted an "In Development" page on www.ericspudic.com in hopes of getting MASSACRE MANSION and TEENAGE VIGILANTE going.  Also, looks like SAVAGE HARVEST 2 and PRETTY COOL 2 are hitting dvd this summer. Still trying to crack that IMDB top 10,000 and still wanting to do a Filipino action flick soon. Anxious for the new Dokken albums!

Mar/07 - The SUPERCROC trailer can be seen on THE HITCHHIKER, another Asylum film. I acted in Joe Castro's TERROR TOONS 1.5 as well as a new Jim Wynorski vampire flick. I've been a Wynorski fan forever!  Finally got to see an old email buddy of mine named Alicia Silverstone in person. She was performing in a play called "Speed the Plow" by David Mamet. She was excellent! Just found out that a movie I wrote 4 years ago called DEADLY CULTURE finally came out on dvd. Heard it's awful, but I'll check it out anyway.

Apr/07 - SUPERCROC is now on dvd everywhere. I played the first victim of the croc.  SAVAGE HARVEST 2 is getting released this fall through Elite Entertainment. The Wynorski picture I was in is called DEVIL'S DAWN. Finally got back into Tae Kwon Do following a long 19 year hiatus. Simon Rhee is my instructor. He's been in everything from BEST OF THE BEST and THE ITALIAN JOB to LETHAL WEAPON 4 and UNIVERSAL SOLDIER. Auditioning for a Ralph Portillo film. He made FEVER LAKE! WEREWOLF IN A WOMENS PRISON is having a midnight showing at the New Beverly Cinema also.

May/07 - PRETTY COOL TOO, with a bit cameo where I played a masturbating peeping tom, hits dvd from MTI on June 12th. DEAD CLOWNS has also been picked up one of the top film companies in the world. My biggest release yet as an actor! Stay tuned. BEWITCHED HOUSEWIVES is currently making the cable television rounds. Watched double-features of TOP GUN/PLATOON, THE MUTHERS/FIGHT FOR YOUR LIFE(thanks to Quentin Tarantino!), and I attended the Bob Clark tribute of CHILDREN SHOULDN'T PLAY WITH DEAD THINGS/DEATHDREAM. Plus the Fangoria show rocked! So sad that GRINDHOUSE tanked. :-(  The PLANET TERROR segment was the best movie of the year.  My roommate of many years, Chris Watson, had to move out.  He will be missed, but his legacy will live on forever.

June/07 - TERROR TOONS 2 is now out on dvd. I'm in a bonus short on the disc. Lion's Gate has scheduled DEAD CLOWNS for a July 31st release. The trailer is on a few of the new Lion's Gate dvds. This little gem was shot in Biloxi, Mississippi a few years ago. Sadly, hurricane Katrina has since wiped out a few of the locations in the film! THE MONSTER SQUAD comes out on dvd the week earlier from Lion's Gate and I'm also pumped for that one.

July/07 - Was interviewed by the lovely Princess Jolene for www.thefleshfarm.com We did it in a cemetery. The interview, that is. Saw DIE HARD 4 and dug it. Itching for DEAD CLOWNS on dvd. Can't wait, can't wait! Just got asked to write an essay on a famous horror film for a book. More details to follow. Went up to Vegas for a few days to gamble and attend the VSDA show. Met William Lustig, one of my favorite directors!  I stayed in the fancy Venetian, my favorite hotel.

Aug/07 - DEAD CLOWNS is now everywhere. I need to start sending screeners to casting directors and a few of my favorite filmmakers. SAVAGE HARVEST 2 was just unleashed on dvd from Elite. They also put out RE-ANIMATOR, NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, and NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET. The SH2 disc is packed with tons of extras.  Can't wait to join SAG and do bigger films. LA is super hot. Almost as hot as Cameron Diaz.

Sep/07 - WEREWOLF IN A WOMENS PRISON actually got its release pushed back. Went to the RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD dvd signing. The new disc is loaded with extras! DEATH SENTENCE is hands-down a fantastic flick, go see it. Did a cameo for Ramzi Abed's SPIRAL STATE. Auditioned for GINGERDEAD MAN 2.

Oct/07 - October, my favorite month! I've been watching horror movies left and right, everything from HELL NIGHT and DIARY OF THE DEAD to 30 DAYS OF NIGHT and SLAUGHTER HIGH. I'm addicted. Itching to direct again. Gonna have to scratch that itch. Been selling dvds & videos constantly. Only have 3,000 left to sell. DEADWOOD PARK is now on dvd everywhere. Snatch it up!  Went to William Butler's final Halloween party, "Prom of the Living Dead".  Best party of the year and to top it off, my date was absolutely beautiful.

Nov/07 - Played a part in PREHISTORIC, a new dinosaur flick. Christopher Atkins and Michael Gross star. Saw Sascha Baron Cohen in person as his "Borat" character - awesome! Planning on moving out of this apartment soon. $1,400 for a 2-bedroom...ouch! Making up my list of New Year's Resolutions. Lots of changes coming up.

Dec/07 - A friend and I trekked up north to visit the Winchester Mansion and Alcatraz. Great time!  She was really needing a vacation, so I saved up some money and took a week off work to make sure she got a much-needed getaway.  Hope to shoot at those places someday.  The morgue at Alcatraz was especially creepy.  PREHISTORIC is now called 100,000,000 BC and will be on dvd in March. Thinking about writing again. Auditioned for WAR OF THE WORLDS 2. New headshots on the horizon as well. And a new website!

---------------------------

So there you have it.  2007 was another successful and fun year.  Met a lot of great new friends.  Had some great sex.  Made some money.  Got to be on tv a bunch.  Here's to 2008 being even better.  In 2007, I met some great new peeps who deserve an applause.  Here they are:

Brendan - thanks for coming out to the movie nights.  Nobody knows as much about Lance Henriksen's movies as you!  Good to have another Illinoisan on my side.

Heather - amazing meeting you finally!  This chick knows her flicks.  Too bad you live so far away.  We gotta watch some bad-ass movies sometime.

Jewel - thanks for letting me touch your boobs and for the autographs!  I'm not gonna stop bugging you about working with Cirio Santiago.  I'm so jealous.

Joe - even though I technically "met" you way back 7 years ago or so, 2007 was our actual first meeting.  Thanks for the smelly fart jokes and here's to June 27th becoming a national holiday.

Jolene - one of my bestest new friends and a hell of a trooper.  You've accomplished a lot in the short time I've known you.  No matter what, I'll always be rooting for you.  You inspire me.  I'm so happy you finally got to meet your number 16 and that Sagdiyev fellow.

Matt - one of my favorite bad movie conspirators.  Dress up as Borat at the next party, will ya?  Excellent conversations and NIGHT WARS is the greatest.

Michelle - now I can't remember if I met you in 2007 or 2006.  Either way, thanks for being my pal and for the support.  It's always cool hanging out and let's hang again soon!

Simon & Cindy - these fine folks have taught me things I never knew possible.  I'm in the best shape of my life now!

Steve - our late night movie chats thrill me with your trivial knowledge.  Plus we worked on some cool shoots, saw some great flicks, and met a lot of new industry contacts.  Keep up the good work.

Ted - an idol!  Thanks for teaching me the ways and for the great stories.  Hope to finally act in a movie with you.

Tom & Lola - awesome peeps!  Your horror movie and prop collection amazes me.  Not to mention you live in the coolest place ever.  Let's have some more movie parties and I look forward to working with you two.

Valerie - besides being pretty good in bed, you've become a really good friend.  Playing "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City" with you never gets old.  And I'm up for a goofy comedy anytime.

That Was Then, This Is Now
Current mood: grateful
Category: Blogging

This upcoming May, 2007 marks the 10th anniversary of my high school graduation.  Ouch.  Time flies!  I still keep in touch with a few pals from school and thanks to Myspace, am now keeping in touch with several more.  Here I am gonna compare my life now and then.

1. I drove an '85 4 wheel drive Chevy Blazer
2. I was short and skinny.
3. Worked at a video store, getting free rentals!
4. Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo were my favorite systems.
5. The girl of my dreams won't date me because she only dates guys who play football.
6. DAWN OF THE DEAD was my favorite film.
7. I only had 1 feature film credit under my belt and I dream of someday being on tv and working on movie sets.
8. My best game as a bowler was maybe 150.
9. Sometimes I would secretly play with my plastic army soldiers, staging battles.
10. Rush was my favorite band.

THE PRESENT

1. I still drive a 4 wheel drive, but now have upgraded to a Jeep Cherokee
2. Even though I've grown a few inches and gained 40 pounds, I'm still short and skinny.
3. I'm now financially secure enough to buy entire video store inventories.
4. I still play Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo, but Playstation 2 has taken priority.
5. The girl of my dreams won't date me because she only dates extremely good-looking model types.
6. DAWN OF THE DEAD still remains my favorite film and not even the remake can top the original, baby.
7. I have now worked on over 60 feature films and appear on cable tv 3 times a week on average.
8. My best game as a bowler is 243.  Whew!
9. Don't tell anyone, but my parents brought my army soldiers to California and I just played with them after Xmas.
10. Rush and Aerosmith are my favorite bands with Dokken coming in with a close 3rd place.

Spudic on baseball
Current mood: curious
Category: Sports

Some may not know that I'm a baseball fanatic.  Still a bit bummed that my Detroit Tigers lost the World Series, but at least my hometown team the Cardinals won.  So here we are close to inducting a few more players into the Hall of Fame in 2007.  Below are the nominees and whether I gave them a thumbs up or down.

Harold Baines - so so close to 3,000 hits, Harold. Nice batting average and longevity. Thumbs up.

Albert Belle - this guy had a spectacular career going, finishing strong(which is rare). But only 12 seasons??? Thumbs down.

Dante Bichette - had a run of awesome seasons, plus that 219-hit season is beautiful. This guy just doesn't have the numbers, though. Thumbs down.

Bert Blyleven - 3,701 career strikeouts, 60 shutouts, damn close to 300 wins. Put him in the HOF. Now. Thumbs up.

Bobby Bonilla - a few good seasons here and there, except the numbers just aren't there, bud. Thumbs down.

Scott Brosius - who??? Thumbs down.

Jay Buhner - some nice 40+ home-run seasons, but when you have more strikeouts than hits, something's wrong. Thumbs down.

Ken Caminiti - who chooses these nominees? Thumbs down.

Jose Canseco - sucky at batting, but the homeruns and the famous 40/40 season make up for it. Plus his ex, Jessica, is hot. Thumbs up.

Dave Concepcion - not really HOF material, but close enough. Lots of doubles and stolen bases and consistency. We'll give you a thumbs up.

Eric Davis - some fine seasons, but way too many injury-plagued seasons that bogged him down. Thumbs down.

Andre Dawson - are they on crack? Get this guy in the Hall immediately, check those numbers out, baby. Thumbs up.

Tony Fernandez - sorry, Tony, loved the 213-hit season and the stellar 41 doubles at the age of 37 was nice. But thumbs down.

Steve Garvey - this guy's been waiting forever, give him his break. 2,600 hits!!! Plus he was in BLOODFIST 6. Thumbs up.

Rich "Goose" Gossage - not a fan of relievers. Did make that 300+ save plateau, but still not good enough. Thumbs down.

Tony Gwynn - .338 lifetime batting average and over 3,000 hits. Need I say more? Thumbs up.

Orel Hershiser - this guy was good, but can't compete with the best of the best. Thumbs down.

Tommy John - 26 seasons, that's dedication! Why didn't he just go for the 300 wins? Plus, he has tons of strikeouts. Thumbs up.

Wally Joyner - seems to have petered out too quickly. Great player, but not HOF material. Thumbs down.

Don Mattingly - let's give him a shot. I don't admire playing only 14 seasons, but those three 200+ hit seasons were fantastic. Thumbs up.

Mark McGwire - those 1,600 hits look like crap, but you can't deny the 583 home runs! Thumbs up.

Jack Morris - I'm a Tigers fan, so I might be biased. Three 20+ win seasons and three 200+ strikeout seasons, winner! Thumbs up.

Dale Murphy - 2,000+ hits, 400 home runs, back-to-back MVP's. Thumbs up.

Paul O'Neill - some nice respectable numbers, but why retire at the top of your game? Thumbs down.

Dave Parker - 2,700 hits, 19 seasons, lots of homers. This guy ruled. Thumbs up.

Jim Rice - one of the BoSox's greatest. Long overdue with four 200+ hit seasons and a .298 average. Thumbs up.

Cal Ripken Jr. - 3,184 hits, nuff said. Thumbs up.

Bret Saberhagen - great winning percentage and that's about it. Thumbs down.

Lee Smith - so what if he had more losses than wins? You can't beat the greatest reliever of all-time. Thumbs up.

Alan Trammell - again, another Tiger. You think I'm gonna trash him? Gotta love his fielding and his 2,365 hits. Thumbs up.

Devon White - lots of hits and lots of stolen bases, yet I gotta give him a thumbs down.

Bobby Witt - having less than 2,000 strikeouts for a starting pitcher doesn't qualify you, bud. Thumbs down.

Spoody Spood and the Funky Bunch
Current mood: thankful
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

DRILLER and WEREWOLF IN A WOMEN'S PRISON had successful screenings this month.  Most seemed to enjoy them quite a bit.  Got to see screenings of HATCHET and THE DEVIL'S DEN, both rocked the house.  HALLOWEEN NIGHT is in stores everywhere.  I played "Stu" in that one.

Just did a tv show that Ashton Kutcher produced.  More details soon.  Been to 3 Halloween parties so far this month, whew!  Did an interview for www.actorsspot.com

Climbed up the San Gabriel mountains with some friends.  PRETTY COOL 2 is now called POCKET GIRL: PRETTY COOL TOO.  SAVAGE HARVEST 2: OCTOBER BLOOD has distribution, release date in 2007.

My hometown team, the St. Louis Cardinals, won the World Series and while I'm happy for them, I must confess I've been a Detroit Tigers fan since '89.  THE LEGEND OF WILLIAM TELL also has a new title, but I keep forgetting it.  Oh yeah, and DEAD MEN WALKING played on the Sci-Fi Channel.
