surrealism is typical?
Current mood: amused

"Feminists have in the past critiqued the surrealist movement, claiming that it is fundamentally a male movement and a male fellowship, despite the occasional few celebrated woman surrealist painters and poets. They believe that it adopts typical male attitudes toward women, such as worshipping them symbolically through stereotypes and sexist norms. Some feminists have argued that in surrealism women are often made to represent higher values and transformed into objects of desire and of mystery."

Ok. So, if we respresent women as higher values, that's considered a stereotype? That begs me to fantasize that surrealists should be worshipped by women in this case. Lamen's terms, acknowledge and appreciate the compliment when it's given! Sorry, so sorry. I love you.

conventional automatism

"Surrealism as a visual movement had found a method: to expose psychological truth by stripping ordinary objects of their normal significance, in order to create a compelling image that was beyond ordinary formal organization, in order to evoke empathy from the viewer."

POP
Current mood: enthralled

For ten years now, I've been constantly rediscovering this unseen explosion from one the world's most widely known bands U2. Why people ignored this pop when it came upon them is beyond me, as it was then, and still is in my mind...so fantastic and appropriate. It speaks in modernisms that noone has been able to replicate or straight up copy. Thanks for your appearance.

boulevards
Current mood: crazy

there is a space between us

upside down midnight gloss

what would it take for you to see

crying alone across the sea

multiples shifted equal plus

avenues mysterious

boulevards with two ends are you and me

i sleep with you indirectly

the weave of intangible friends
Current mood: annoyed

one friend leaves to ignore

another presents to brighten

i could have left to see more

and now my heart's broken

will i ever see her again,

or will she be gone forever?

well now i'm endlessly waiting

to see who is more clever

familiar faces and simple graces

...nourishes my endless wishes

i sit on the sunsrise with open arms

but you don't feel my charms

in any way

but that's ok

i never dreamed of having someone like you

now i can let my nightmare live true

INLAND EMPIRE
Current mood: anxious

I'm so mad. Not only did I not make it to where I should have, Los Angeles, but I would have been able to meet the man himself. David Lynch, as he and a cow (yes, a cow) set up at the corner of Hollywood and LaBrea promoting his wonderful actress' performance in his upcoming masterpiece INLAND EMPIRE. I'm extremely upset with not meeting my hero, the legend and inspiration Mr. Lynch. The only thing that can temporarily satisfy my uneasiness is to see his film which I have been waiting for, for eons.

hopeless romance
Current mood: crushed

What the hell? I think I'm officially sick of the opposite sex. I know most people say that they don't understand women, or whatever...but I think I always kind of have. As usual, I think the problem is with me, I can never help but get hurt by "the worst things" that girls say to me...indirectly. Stupid, right? Girls seem to go after what they want in the moment, and here I am holding on to hope in the shadows. I can't believe that I constantly renew my courage and faith in women. I treat them as if I'm a pagan, but they never give a damn. DAMN!
