08-27-08 Oh so Elusive

Alright... so maybe I have been busier than I let on.

In between trying to find steady paychecks (which is totally giving in to the man but makes it so much easier to cause chaos when I can take care of my pet car named "The Karl" or possibly "Karltron3000")

where was I...

Okay, Yeah, so I need to network to find a job. There's some cool jobs that involve medical supplies so I might go for those and my taxadermy business can finally get up and running...

But anyway...

I've been working with a number of great photographers.

PEEK (Mike Fitzgerald). You'd probably recognize him as that guy... you know.. on my Myspace list with the links but he also goes to a number of the galleries in Harrisburg. I absolutely adore this man and the crew ... you know, Alexander Stevens (Vice President of the Confederacy) ,  his wife Katja (Natasha if you're nasty), Fabulous Rick and the Kitties.

We have been shooting a bit during the month and drinking a lot of wine-- wait, that's just me. All the results are posted here to the Myspace, a few to the Deviant Art and ... other places.

I've also been working with Diana Robinson AKA SlinkyDink. I've known this girl from the times when I was suspended multiple times from Catholic School and that was before SHE was expelled. Ohhh we're baaad girls...

Yet our work together is sexy, classy and tasteful.

And now for the Return of Digital Articulation. :icondigitalarticulation:

We haven't worked together in awhile and I jumped at the opportunity when I heard he had a free weekend. We did vintage and a take off on Marilyn Monroe. The results are absolutely gorgeous.

And then some twisted stuff for old time's sake...

A fabulous weekend with many more to come...

07+29+2008 Its a Sign

Its a sign.

Upon arrival, on the way to Del's apartment, a 5.8 earthquake hit.

I take it as a compliment.

Life is to be lived. If you have to support yourself, you had bloody well find some way that is going to be interesting. And you don't do that by sitting around wondering about yourself.

Stuff White People Like

http://stuffwhitepeoplelike.wordpress.com/

Its "Stuff White People Like", a blog dedicated to hilarious observations of the white culture.

You’ll love it if you’re white. Even if you’re not. Even if you are and deny it to your last breath.

No F**cking Just Kissing, She Said

I have come to the conclusion that I am so incredibly specific in my tastes that it isn't easy to find someone complimentary or of the same mold. People ask me out but I turn them down or never give them an answer. I'm just not interested.

Lately, I've stopped hopping into bed with just anyone for the fact that I know it won't be any fun. The people I meet don't share the same quirks as I do, they aren't into the same stuff I am. (Trust me, its not for the faint of heart. Ask Karl.) I don't identify with people that aren't a certain kind of eccentric, I suppose.

Thus...I spend more time checking people out before I come on to them sexually. If the chemistry isn't there, its not worth the trouble.

Surgery

Going in for wisdom tooth surgery on Friday, the 25th.

If I skipped the anesthesia, I could get the surgery HALF PRICED!

... but my mother made me promise to pay the extra for the painkiller. I have stress balls and an ability to endure very very unpleasent situations so I could have gone either way.

For just under $1000 (Including anthesia) I see only possibilities.

1. I lose that last 10 lbs with a liquid and soft foods diet
2. I lose 4 ounces of tooth!
3. My cheekbones, which are already extremely high, will be pushed further out from the lack of teeth and weight loss causing an impulse to carve messages into glass with my diamond sharp face!

The only downside is I lose a few days of training and painting. Upside is that I dared myself to finish a hidiously thick book by the time I'm well enough to go outside the house.

On a side note: I'm so looking forward to soup all day long. mmm Broth.
