Murder Your Darlings

We've been working on a record with Devin Ocampo and Chad Clark at Silver Sonya studios in Arlington for about 9 months and we're almost done! We put up a new track today called "District Menagerie." The song was originally mixed by Chad but when he was diagnosed with a heart condition it put the tune on the back burner. Fortunately Chad is recovering and on top of that our new friend David Khane (Sir Paul, The Strokes, Regina Spektor, Sublime, Wilco, blah blah blah) offered to mix District for us!
The record is coming along and it sounds killer. A big thanks is owed to Devin for his tireless work, minimal eating habits, and willingness to cut every instrument in pursuit of the perfect mix:)

hello 2008!

We've been taking some time off recently. Highlights include...China, pro tools, Las Vegas, LA, Chicago, broken vans, NYC, snow, ocean, mounting debt and our first full length album. We'll be mixing with Chad next week and in NYC at the mercury lounge on january 24th. Keep an eye out for our new music video, a spring tour in and out of SXSW with our dear friends Pretty & Nice, and Renzo's own VH1 special where guitars and underage girls compete for his love...

Candy Jones, Studio Black Magic, Music Videos, Myspace Sabotage

So our myspace is acting up and erasing the venues from our tour...and we haven't even left yet! On tuesday Oct 30th we're playing the Annex in the NYC at 9:15pm...on Nov 1st we're playing Castaways in Ithaca, NY and on Thursday Nov 8th we're playing Martyrs in Chicago...all these dates are on our website so check it out!

In other recent news we filmed a video for MK Ultra with our new partner in crime Joe "scorsese" Brenner...we saw a rough cut today and it looks awesome...let's just say it's got covert action, mind control, lasers, martinis and goats.

We've also been at inner ear since late Sept working on a full length record with Devin Ocampo and Chad Clark...Nick Anderson helped with the engineering...the tracks are coming along nicely (aside from a couple classic snafus that we'll save for our "behind the music")...it'll be a different feel than the previous clov records but we think you'll dig it.

The whole silver sonya crew have been awesome, hard working, music loving dudes and we feel right at home over there...that said we're ready to rock out...so keep an eye out for us in your city and come party!!!

Black Cat w/Carol & Pash

Thanks to all of you who came out on your holiday weekend to party with us at the Black Cat. It was wonderful to share the stage with friends...all of whom happened to rock our faces off! Live music is much more than draw, perfect performance or even sound...it's about energy and the power of shared experience...so thanks for making it a wonderful night, we hope to see you all again soon!

We Love the Troc!!

It took awhile but we've finally found a home in Philly! For the next couple months we're going to do a residency of sorts at the historic Trocadero in the city of Brotherly Shove...We'll be playing balcony shows immediately following mainstage shows...Unfortunately the shows are 21+ (we tried!), free with a mainstage tix stub or $5 if you come just to see us (awwww we really do appreciate it)...so here's a list and keep an eye out for more tba!

Why No Shows!?

We're back to hibernation mode...writing new songs and getting the juices flowing! We'll be hitting the studio in Sept/Oct working with Chad Clark (Beauty Pill) and Devin Ocampo (Medications) at Inner Ear in Arlington...Hopefully we'll have some new tunes ready for the Black Cat!

Sad News from the Clov Camp

People have inquired as to why so many shows of late have been cancelled...It's saddens me to be the bearer of bad news but yesterday morning we lost a close member of the clov family. Em and Suz's father "Papa" Hsu passed away after years of battling serious illness. After undergoing a risky surgical procedure in March the ladie's father was unable to recover. Our hearts and prayers go out to the Hsu family, a family so generous and kind and undeserving of such a terrible tragedy. While Papa Hsu's passing is devastating we take comfort in the fact that he is no longer suffering. Thank you all for your patience and understanding...we will return better and stronger than ever.
