what's up

I now I haven't been on myspace in the past few weeks.  I am back in school.  I  taking some billing and medical coding classes.  Some I have been hitting the books.  due to the shaky job market and my medical office on the line to be closed down, i need to update my skills.  It's new too late to learn.  I have also been reading my poetry to some blog radio shows.  It's to work on my voice and promote myself.  other than that, i will be in class for the whole summer.  wish me luck.  peace.

Can you tell a lot about a person,

By just their beauty.

Can you tell what they like?

Or how they think?

Can you tell what life is to them.

Byy their sparkling eyes,

And flawless skin.

Do you know if they like midnight walks.

Do you know if they like sports.

Or even likes it rough when making love.

But most of all,

Do you know who they really are?

And if they will love you back.

Because it can be a distraction,

To what really lies ahead.

So beware and keep guard,

Before it sucks you in.

I have been degraded by society,

Cause of what I am.

I have to work at everything I do,

Cause I'm not taken seriously.

I have been labeled.

Cause they are too ignorant to know me.

I have to be stubborn,

Cause the nice game doesn't work for me.

I have to be cautious,

Cause nothing is a free ride.

Pretty Brown Eyes

Pretty Brown Eyes

He has a certain look,

That would make his mama proud.

he has a smile.

That would light up a room.

He has a deep smooth voice.

That would make a woman melt.

He wore gold all over,

That would blind you.

And his eyes,

His soft brown eyes shines through the light.

But look through them carefully.

They may be pretty,

But they're telling you something.

He's not what you thought he would be.

so turn around,

Don't look back.

He may be a dream.

But his pretty brown eyes,

Will put you back to reality.

ps. the celtics will win it in 7 (east all the way, baby..lol)

I attended a poetry reaing for young adults at my local library. They were given out prizes to the winning poetry and they had kids from age six to seventeen reading.  Many of the poems were powerful.  I felt these kids have a future behind them.  It was cute watching them read they poem to their families and others.

I ended up reading my poem, "martiza" and had many compliments on it.

Also, I am sorry I have had the chance to get to say hi to everybody.  I am dealing with a family situation that has been cruching my time.

The Celtics won(my thoughts)

hey

I am happy the Celtics won yesterday against chicage.  I am not a lebron fan..only.  but I have some issues about them playing against Detroit. Boston needs to win a game on Detroit's cout.  all throught their game, They didn't win a game on Chicago's court. They can't win the championship without winning a game on the opposing court.  Also, Doc rivers need to talk to Ray Allen and tell him to put his game.  He was missing baskets and not being active in the game.  Where's his hunger?  I saw hunger in Pierce's, garrett's and Rondo's face.  the side line pobably have more hunger than Ray.

So I hope they up their game for else Detroit will have them for lunch.

one of the nurses who helped my family with my grandmother called today.  Shewanted to how we were doing since my grandma's death in march.  She stated that march wasn't a good moth for thrm at the nursing home.  A week after my grandma died, her roommate died a week later.  She was battling cancer and the last time I saw her, she was not in going shape.  She was under dialysis and wasn't talking.  Another man, who we ususally see his wife visit him every day died the week after.  This is scary as hell.

Speaking of grandma, this is the first mother's day without her.  My family will visit her grave and bring her flowers.  i don't know who my dad will handle it.  He doesn't cry but he gets annoyed easily.  and we are having dinner with my mom and the family.  she doesn't like to go out on Mother's day.  So we are saving going out for another day.
