Hey everybody! Great news!
Fallen Ivory were back in the bedroom-studio at the weekend! The music was flowing and things are looking good! We have quite a few tracks recorded now just awaiting production and tweaking for the ep! Feels like we've been saying this for ages but, we're a little closer now!
Ahhh to be a band with roadies and a studio crew etc!

FALLen IVORy - Latest news

Hi everybody. Following in the footsteps of Radiohead, we have decided to make our music contribution based. You can now download our music at our official site (www.fallenivory.com) free of charge.

Also, work on our 2nd album is well underway and is moving forward steadily. We are anticipating a good reaction to it as our sound has evolved to become even better. We hope to have some samples/tracks ready for download very soon.

NEW Debut Album: Songbook

The latest musical talent to come out of the North East of England are Dave Smith and Joel Lawrence otherwise known as FALLen IVORy. These lads have just released their debut album entitled 'Songbook' and are already working on the eagerly anticipated follow up. Having been compared to artists/bands such as Nick Drake, Pink Floyd,Oasis,Dire Straits and The Eagles... these lads will be a hit with anyone who hears their music!

The name FALLen IVORy originated from our names: David FALL Smith and Joel IVOR John Lawrence. We got together by chance, after knowing eachother for many years we one day ended up having a jam together and before we even decided to start writing it all happened for us, we quickly started writing little rifs for eachothers tunes which soon lead to the start of 'Songbook'. 'Songbook' happened very quickly and is the debut album to emerge from our combined minds. Inspiration has come from various areas of life, both personal and other peoples. We cant describe how our sound evolved, it was an instant fusion of our own styles that has now become FALLen IVORy. Songbook is the first of many for us so watch this space !
