Just wanted to send OUT A HUGE thank YOU for all my wonderful bday comments. So nice to see all my comments and pictures of sparkling candles and bday cakes. It was a chill bday actually nutting too too exciting. I had a huge day planned actually but ended up just relaxing and writing music most of the day. Then I went out to dinner and had yummy food and cake and wine. And my mama came down and has been staying wit me so it was chill and nice. Sometimes, just relaxin without a bunch of craziness is celebration enough. :) Que mas, hmmm? Well, my mom brought her crazy little chihuaha, Marley, who is so hyper and mental and keeps fighting with her other dog Pippin lol. Pippin is a girl and Marley a boy- neither one of them fixed and Marley keeps trying to have sex with Pippin and Pippin aint having it. LOL They were sooooo crazy last night. (you can tell I have nothing to do huh? lol) Ummm, really, that's about it. I got a couple cool giftos for my bday- one including a barneys gift certificate which, needless to say, is one of my favorite stores. So, that's where I am going tomorrow- you think its open on the 4th? Maybe sat then. um, that's it from the homefront ya'll. Tomorrow is the 4th- wish i could say i was gunna be on diddys yacht or something cool like that but I am prob just gunna keep it lo-key here in hollyhood. drinks- food- sparklers haha. anyway, hope u guys have a great 4th!!!!!!!!!!! lots of AMOR, ferras

what up homeys and homettes. :)
Its currently hundreds of degrees here in Albany. Im roasting like a virginia ham on a skewer. ok, well maybe not that bad, I AM in my hotel with air con BLASTING. Ok so lets start with Cleveland and Columbus- Both lots of fun. I had a migraine from HELL in Columbus, but as usual I ain't gunna let you kiddies down so I popped 3 advil and got on the stage. It works like magic- not the pills, but being on stage. U get this adrenaline rush thing that makes u superman or something. So I did my show and as soon as I got off, the head started pounding so I made my way back to the hotel after signing ya'll cd's! Next day we was off to Nashville! I'd never been to this really awesome place before and i was really looking forward to going. I played the Summer Jam concert with Jordin Sparks- who by the way is A SWEETHEART beyond belief and MAN, can she SING!!!! We love Jordin. :) So after the concert me and my tour manager Vanessa (I refer to her as Vanilla sometimes lol) One day I was like "Hey, Vanilla..." I meant to say Vanessa but for some reason that came out ha. I think I was overly tired. Anyway, we jumped into the stretch white limo (radio stations treat you really well if they like you haha) and right when i step foot inside, Hollywoods on the radio. I was like DAYUM, Ya'll planned this didn't you! :) Its was awesome. Next stop was sushi where I had some of the best freaking sushi I've ever eaten. It was AH-MAY-ZING! If you're in Nashville ever and get a chance check out Virago or Vilago or something like that. It yum... Next day, it was off to Chicago which I'm discovering I actually might LOVE. So weird I lived in Illinwah for 17 years and went to chicago twice. Its really a great city- great shopping. Its very luxurious and kind of down to earth at the same time. Best of both worlds. :) So, we had our show at the house of blues which was AMAZING. Thanks to everyone who came out to the show- you guys in my home STATE rocked!!! It was really nice to meet all ya'll and I HOPE you guys come out when I am going to be in Chicago (with my band yay) 4 times in AUGUST!!! We are playing Lollapalooza(yay can we talk about stoked- you guys MUST come out and see me there). This is a must. And i say a must because you just have to haha. And then we are playing Market Days as well. AND AND AND this just in---- I'll be at the House of Blues AGAIN on 8/7 opening for none other than the one and only BOY GEORGE!!!! TELL ME THATS NOT SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKK! WTF really? CULTURE CLUB was one of the BIGGEST bands of the 80's with Boy George and songs like Karma Chameleon, I'll Tumble 4 Ya- Do You Really Want To Hurt Me! Classics ya'll. Check that stuff out yungins if you dont know who he is- really rad stufff. Iconic. And one other date in Chitown that I'm not sure of yet but stay tuned to myspace and ferrasmusic.com for updates. And last but not least, Albany. It was HOTTT outside on the summer stage! We hung out with Metro Station who are one of my new fav's. We shared a limo to the venue from our hotel- unfortunately I didn't really get to talk to them as I was passed out dead in the limo and when we arrived at the venue I woke up and Trace Cyrus is in my car. LOL I was like when did you guys get in here?!!!! Thats when you go ok FERRAS, You NEED REDBULL DUDE. LOL. Nah for real those guys are really cool. I played my set, signed autographs and u guy's rocked and rolled with me acoustically and were great. It was a-lot of fun. Also met Ace Young from Idol- really nice guy too. And of course the dudes from Simple Plan who we see alot cuz we play alot of the same shows. So, all in all it was a good day. Now, I'm gunna nap! Then tonight, the party don't stop ya'll- we gunna rip it up in Albany- somewhere. Tomorrow, its off to Minneapolis which I AM really thrilled to go to. Although I think I have a strange Karma thing with that city cuz everytime I go there I end up in the emergency room. lol Hopefully its different this time. Damn kidney stones, they haven't been back so STAY AWAY!!! Some of you will probably remember when I played my last show at the Varsity theater (where we'll be Mon night- awesome awesome venue-I played there with A Fine Frenzy a few monthes ago.) Anyway, you guys will remember i had been in the hospital all day that day with the kidney stone amazingness and attached to Morphine all day. Then I played the show that night. Ha. That was a good show, hopefully tomorrow I'll be sober and everything will be A O K. Anyway, I'm done rambling. U guys like my long winded blogs tho right? Another successful show!!! And TG it didn't rain. Man, there was this huge WITCH hot air balloon. Seriously, a hot air balloon in the shape of a witch hahahahahahaha. For those of you that know me, you know i Love witches ( and anything that has to do with halloween or the occult or weird stuff) Im so mad i didn't get a picture of that bizarre witch haha but maybe one of you snapped a pic and can post it on my page... just so everyone can see how dope the balloon fest is. :) Anyway, it was a great show and thanks to all my peeps for coming out and supporting- and all you new peeps, love to you guys too!!!! Im mad tho cuz it rained and i didn't get to go up in that damn balloon- next time!!!!! I was totally gunna video blog from in the air too. :( Anyway we seriously left the CUSE and just got to toronto- i love toronto too. I have a suite on the 25th floor overlooking the giant space needle thingie. Great view. Ima go out and have a couple drinks and party it up a bit- we dont have a show until tues in cleveland. thanks to everyone for coming out to the show at Thanksgiving Point in Utah! It was an incredible show and you guys were a super duper awesome audience. I'll come back to Utah for sure! Thanks for making that night so special everyone. lots of love, Ferras
just wanted to say hi from my hotel (as usual) im in lancaster,pa which actually is strange but has this quality i can't quite put my finger on--- its got this almost "real" sort of organic artsy vibe to it- im going to venture out and say that its CUTE!!!! i had an fn amazing show tonight at the "chameleon" --- despite being hungover from last night (NEW YORK) which btw was stellar as well. and the best f-ing gyro i have ever had in my life came from this little greek place called "Spyro Gyro" OMG it was the best- i met the owner and she had this amazing smile on her face while she was cooking- so beautiful- you could tell that everything she made was infused with such love- you could taste that in the food. anyway- things are going well with tour. this tour im playing acoustic versions of songs from "aliens & rainbows" as well as songs that aren't on the record. i like to do that too here and there. anyway, me and my piano. night after night. its pretty amazing actually-to just be up on stage with no one else- you really have to be OK with being that vulnerable- no band to hide behind- i think it's making me a stronger person in alot of ways- and im learning so much about myself - not hiding behind anything-what you see is what you get- im going to be getting my band soon tho- im rehearsing a band as soon as i get back to la at the end of this month for use on future tours etc- and i am stoked about that too as i can't wait to get up there with my band and rock ur freaking SOCKS OFF !!!! ha. anyway, the real point of tonights update wasn't to wax poetic on little towns- or to analyze my inner being (could i do that any more- have u heard my record ???? LOL) but it was to tell you guys how in love with you I am. Ur support means the world to me- and coming out to my shows and singing along with me and writing me on here- and drawing pictures and writing me poems- U GUYS MAKE EVERY DAY I WAKE UP MORE SPECIAL THAN THE LAST- every time i see a painting or a drawing of an alien or a rainbow or me- :) --- i feel like a proud parent- u guys see into my soul, and for that i say thank you ...for loving me, for supporting me and for being exactly who u guys are... wonderful. next show- hartford,ct. see u there. xo nite nite lovies.
Hello from Tour!!!! Three days in and im still alive. yay. Baltimore was a good show. They have these amazing dragons you can get in and float around in the marina thing. I didn't get in one, but I wanted to. Next time. Anyway, just arrived in Alexandria, VA. Getting ready to play a show in a couple hours- they are running late for my soundcheck (amazing) so I thought I would write to my beautiful peeps. :) Anyway, now I'm going to run to Guitar Center to get a little keyboard to plug into my laptop so I can practice new songs to bring you kiddies. I'm really feeling some songs right now, and I'm going to be bringing you my cover versions of some of my favorites....on the road, on myspace - so throw your requests my way too and I just might sing one of them one night. :) I've also noticed that on you tube some of you have been doing covers of my songs -- and it was so awesome. This dude did a cover of RUSH on guitar and I was like, wow. It was really cool. So inspired i was that I'm gunna have something up here on myspace and my website too where I feature one fan video doing a cover a week. !!!!!!!! I love hearing ur versions of my songies. Anyway, enough about that. I'm doing a new photo shoot on thurs in NY~ !!!! Liberation Day - Second single- a whole new look, a whole new feel, a whole new, libeation day! So we need some new pickies of me. :) Ok, off to guitar center.
FERRAS TO BRING ALIENS & RAINBOWS ON THE ROAD WITH RYAN CABRERA
Acclaimed Singer-Songwriter Ferras Opening For Ryan Cabrera Beginning June 1st in Baltimore
(May 29, 2008 - New York, NY) - Capitol Music Group debut artist Ferras has confirmed a month-long series of tour dates opening for fellow singer-songwriter Ryan Cabrera. Ferras will join Cabrera starting June 1st in Baltimore, MD through June 24th in Milwaukee, WI (full schedule below).
The lead single "Hollywood's Not America" from Ferras' debut album Aliens & Rainbows (Capitol Records) became an instant hit after it played as the exit song during the Hollywood elimination phase of television ratings champ American Idol, early in the spring. Over 240,000 digital downloads have been sold online during the song's eleven-week Billboard Hot 100 chart run, and "Hollywood's Not America" has also hit the Top 20 in the adult-targeted Hot AC radio format.
"I love playing live shows and having the opportunity to share my music with people," said Ferras, who acknowledges Elton John, David Bowie, Queen and The Beatles among the central influences of his music. "I'm excited to be a part of Ryan Cabrera's tour."
Since the April 1st release of Aliens & Rainbows, produced by The Matrix (Avril Lavigne, Jason Mraz, Korn) with Gary Clark (Natalie Imbruglia, Lloyd Cole), the 25 year old Ferras has been a constant presence on the live stage and television screen. He has toured nationally with A Fine Frenzy, headlined a high school tour in conjunction with Nickelodeon's The N, and performed numerous radio shows, including an electrifying performance in front of 17,000 at New York's Z-100 "Zootopia" show, along with The Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Jesse McCartney, New Kids On The Block and Sara Bareilles. Among his many regional and national television appearances are performing slots on NBC's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and the Today show as well as CBS' The Early Show. In addition to the dates with Ryan Cabrera, Ferras will continue his series of radio promos (schedule below), and will appear at Lollapalooza on August 2nd, and at the Halsted Market Days Festival on August 10th in Chicago.
Yesterday was a fun filled day at the home of our friend Josh Groban. Me, Markus and Katy Perry and the whole GANG cooked hamburguesas con queso and sausages and yummy chicken skewer thingies and lexi baked apple pies and I didn't do anything except eat eat eat and eat. As usual. Well, I did help load the dishes into the dishwasher with Katy's sister Angela. Anyway, I discovered my new favorite thing in the whole wide world. Mr. Josh has this awesome tennis court and we played tennis literally ALL DAY LONG- I never knew how fun and amazing and exhilerating tennis could be. Im not much of a sports guy but this was like the most fun i've had in so long. Its soooo my new thing. When I'm not on stage (or eating) you can find me on the court!!! HAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAA That was our running joke all day-- we'd be like OH YEAH, bitch? Lets TAKE IT TO THE COURT!!! SO my new favorite thing. Anyway, lots of fun in the sun-great food-great peeps and lots of fun with a racket. Just don't piss me off with that racket in my hand!!!!! Oh and now, Im at home recouperating because my whole damn body hurts so bad. Still love ya tennis. No hard feelings.

First off Zootopia was the SHIT! Like off the hook-off the chain-amazing!!! I arrived in my shiny black escalade (you know, cuz that's how we roll to events..hehe) to the back entrance where 6 other caddys sat parked. I knew madness was just behind the stage entrance! We rolled in early to the izod center, which holds more than 20,000 people early in the afternoon as there was alot of press to do- local tv stations, trl, gifting suites, radio and internet interviews- magazines- anyway you get the point. So I get to my dressing room, which was right next to the LOVELY and TALENTED (and my new favorite) Sarah Bareilles- what a sweet young lady!~~! I had to pause and stare at my name on the door because it was quite surreal. All this for me? Indeed, it was a night to remember as I got up to my giant grand piano and belted out a rendition of Hollywood --- the thousands of people singing and cheering along with hollywood~~!!!! To hear that many people singing my song was insane and then I slightly freaked myself out when i looked up from the piano to see my face on the jumbo-tron(not sure what its called those giant screens in arenas). So awesome. Afterwards I got mobbed by a ton of you lovely peeps coming for autographs and pics etc. It was so nice to get to see you guys and say hello! It was madness. Not to mention, the nostalgia and kitsch of having the one and only JORDAN KNIGHT from NKOTB roam the halls- I was like GIMME A PICTURE!!!!! HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA That was very bizarre- to see the new kids- as their song "I Still Believe in Santa Claus" was the first song i ever did as a solo in our annual christmas concert in kindergarden- I was 5 and dressed up as Rudolph- singing that song. That's when I knew I was going to do this as my job. I'm gunna try to locate an old vhs of that if it exists anywhere- that would be AMAZING to see now. Anyway, youtube that song --- its kinda fun hehe. Hmmm, what else. I met Gavin Degraw- nice guy- and Pierre from Simple Plan who's also awesome. It was all around just a good night and one that I will remember forever.
Moving on to Kiss in Boston- which was amazing also. Played Hollywood and Aliens in front of ( not sure exatly how many- i'd say 15,000?) people~!!!! Again, the love, the singing along --- was really quite magical. Then, I did an FYE signing afterwards where I met my fans- and practically had my arms torn off!!!! HAHAHA!!! I wanted to go crowd surfing!!!! No, seriously tho, the level of love that was shown to me blew my mind. Really, incredible. Its still shocking sometimes at these things because Im still wrapping my head around that concept that anyone actually knows who I am lol. At any rate, WHOLE LOTS FUN!!!!! I've ARRIVED!!!! hahahahahahahaha~!!!! LOve you guys so much.... TILL NEXT TIME!!!!!!
ps. Im writing from la. Just got home late last night- did an event for ARTS 4 LIFE- at the Avalon theater. It was so much fun too- all my friends came out to support the cause benefiting the American Cancer Society. Lots of fun. Anyway, today is my day off- then tomorrow I leave again- off to memphis and back to Philly (yes, Philly loves me to pieces) and then home for one day then off again for a month. YAY. More exciting tour news in a few days. xoxoxo
