I've been hanging out on Monday nights- The Marksmen's talent showcase on Monday nights at Tillman's Lounge. Met Justine Masters and started bringing acts there too.

We've had Portuguese MC SAM THE KID, Swedish singer Kissey Asplund and 2 Atl acts Rahbi and Heston.

My girl Maya Azucena has hosted Monday nights also and my old co-worker at the label I co-owned SUB VERSE MUSIC-- OP is on the decks!

So I guess you could say I'm fam!

Things work out!

All I have to say is....We are definitely challenged in this world but I suppose we have to go through the struggles and upheavals to really experience and appreciate the great things that happen to us as we seem to only complain about the hard stuff and not hype up or get enthused about the other things we go through... Are we just naturally a species that loves to suffer!
Ummm.

Anyway- won't bore you with any other fodder but I'm thankful that everything is sorted out now and I'm back on track and out of my funk!!!!

Tonight I'm at Tillman's Lounge for Maya Azucena's ' TASTE THIS' mixtape release party then off to SWAY to see MattSOREAL and Roxy do their thing.
Tonight the original Geto Boys are coming through and my fave screw DJ - RAPID RIC!!!

This weekend has been challenging to say the least. Had some personal struggles- won't go in to detail and then last night- Saturday night- my web host that houses my website blew up. There was an explosion at the plant and a lot of servers were damaged including mine and there's no telling if and when they're able to restore it.

Please say a little prayer-- some positive words and keep my site in your thoughts.
It would be terribly sad if my site is shut down or inaccessible.

I can't receive emails to the bloom effect, I can't blog(oh no!) and I can't update and upload any new content.

Ok-- Only positive thoughts- good things.....Brighter days ahead.

Thank God I'm just back from Barbados. Well rested, clear headed and calm, cool collected-- otherwise I'd be a nervous wreck:-)


I suppose it wouldn't kill me if I spent the next few days entirely doing social networking!
It's what I do best anyway......

Dear Bob Marley and why life is so magical!!!

Ah yes- every day is a blessing!!!

I'm off to Atlanta. Life is good. Spring is here. The weather is warming up and so are the people!

I just came off of last night's high- this incredible new weekly that I kicked off called ' The Upstairs'- at The Renaissance Hotel in Times Square. It's simply one of the best parties I've thrown. Just really relaxed and in an absolutely gorgeous setting. The hotel staff are incredibly affable and the vibe and atmosphere is lovely.

Music by DHUNDEE and MONI. The pairing and synergy these two spin doctors have is fabulous!

Signature Cocktails by Sagatiba- Brazilian Cachaca and light fare passed out all night by Chop Suey.

Every Wednesday- hard day at work- need to relieve some stress-- come to ' The Upstairs' and you'll be taken care of.

Wednesdays - 6PM-11PM


Ok- so here's the magic in life.
I'm on the way to Atlanta- going to kick it with Julie Dexter and Heston at The Bob Marley Tribute - Sugar Hill and on way to Atlanta coming back on Subway before packing. I am serenaded by an old Jamaican man dressed to the nines in a lovely suit and singing Bob Marley Songs. He's down in the subway singing, smiling and dancing - he intros each song and gives a little history of Bob Marley's influences and story behind the song.

What a nice warm- up to my event this weekend.
