New Release on Wankdorf Recordings

We have a New Release on one of our Labels Wankdorf Recordings: Electric Blanket’s strangely naive but not so innocent ear-candy «I Never Ate That Bird» is the first of a series of 7inch-singles (also available as download). The song creates a very uplifting, propulsive state of easiness and is typical for the bands very own mixture of indie pop and electronic influences around Singer Helenka’s seductive voice. On the singles b-side the remix by the notorious «Round Table Knights» takes control of the song and forms a «perfect for the dancefloor» disco-indie-pop piece. It comprises the same kind of relaxed euphoria that this DJ-Crew is so beloved for. Electric Blanket «I Never Ate That Bird» available on 7" Vinyl and Digital, incl. a remix by Round Table Knights Order the Vinyl 7" @ the Mouthwatering Record Store Buy at ITunes Buy at Finetunes Buy at 7digital Buy at djdownload Buy at Musicload Buy at Play.com
The Tape vs. RQM - Luvely OUT NOW!

«The Tape vs. RQM - Luvely» with Remixes by Chris de Luca, Kalabrese &38; Filewile is out now!
The Tape vs RQM is Berlin based producer Robot Koch (Jahcoozi, Autodrive, MMDC) and Polish Brooklyn born, Barcelona resident MC RQM (Al Haca, Stereotyp, I-Wolf, Filewile). The EP Luvely features the original track and three remixes by Chris de Luca (Funkstörung), Filewile and Kalabrese.
Luvely is a soulful, Rock-Electronica tune, built on a strong Hip Hop foundation. The intro gives the impression of listening to a live band play - an impression that remains throughout the track, even though the electronic production is hardly concealed. A Heavy rhythm section, super tight arrangements, intelligent in your face rhymes and an incredible over all groove make up this monster of a tune. Strange this piece was made in Berlin, when it sounds so incredibly American. It’s just so very soulful, so big city sound, so 70’s influenced, so movie score... so big! This sounds like the Mahavishnu Orchestra of Hip Hop - from a Billy Cobham kinda angle - so take it as a compliment.
Vote for Filewile at Gurtenfestival Bern
Category: Music
We think that Promoters should decide wich Bands play at their Festival. We also think the Job of a Promoter is to decide and to choose the Programm of his own Festival: For quality reasons and also because all this votings are just another way to link people onto sponsored sites and to generate traffic. On votings like that, the winner is never the one wich has most of the musical quality or most of impact. The winner is the one wich has the best marketing strategies, a lot of money....or a lot of time....and most important: enough computer skills to cheat the voting. same as the charts or radio airplays are working. So we not gonna contribute with all our energy on that voting, of course we are part of this sick business, so we have no other possibility than to contribute.....or die! so if u give us your vote, we gonna have at least a couple of votes, that we not end up on the last rank, haha....
