FOTP @ Galapagos Wednesday w/ Four Eyed Monster Screening

Normally we are all about the late nights, the booze, the stranger balling, but this week, we wanted to show that we care about other things as well. Welcome to the very first FOTP Curated Arts Night at Galapagos. Alongside with our art director Anna Denbo, we have put together a stellar night of videos, photography and music.

We have something very special for our first night. We have been loving on the movie Four Eyed Monsters for some time now and we are brining you a very special night with the film makers. Arin and Susan will be on hand to show this unreal video podcasts and answer Q&A throughout the night. Below is the preview for the amazing movie. They are also screening the movie Cinema Village and you can buy tix now.



We will also be featuring the photography of Gregory Wilson, whose will be in attendance that night.

The event is FREE so come do something cultural in the middle of the week. That way, when you are blacked out at FOTP this Friday, you will at least feel better in the morning.

There Was Champange! Photos of One Year

"My body hurts and my heart is doing backflips" ~ The party captain. That pretty much sums up last night. We did bring it back Graham Lounge style and tore the place apart. Broken glass, broken hearts and a mess all over the place. The 1 am toast was one of the most amazing things ever. It was so fucking loud and so amazing. God, no smart ass comments here just thank you to everyone that made fotp amazing this year. We are at our new home and will be kicking off again September 8th with non other than JDH of Fixed. CSS ROXXXXXXX

Last night was suposed to be the CSS after party for thier avalon show. To bad the dudes are avalon at douchebag money whores and cancelled the show due to low ticket sales. That didnt stop us from djing the pre warsaw show and hanging with the sweetest buch of brazilians this side of the hemisphere. Not only did they party but they got on and threw down a killer set. Now we know what the kids dance to in San Paulo. Just ask for the Le Tigre Disotrted Baby remix. Tell them Ana sent you. We do not have too many pictures from the night. Fuck you to the new party at stereo that turned the band down at the door and big ups to Eduarado for sticking to his guns. That's how you manage a band!

McCarren Pool: Fucking Awesome

We don't know what to say except today was perfect. It could have been that the drinks were cold, the ice cream was free and the sun was hot. Our guess is 3000 or more showed up to watch Proton Proton, Drgagons of Zynth, Beans, Holy fuck and fhte incredible Les Savy Fav. Highlight? Tim from LSF running into the dodge ball game then claiming that his cordless mic was the best thing he bought. we tried to capture the crowd as best we could. thanks for all the people that came out to support us. this is really what we wanted out of djing all our friends coming together for good music. haha. tired, sun burnt and awesome. fotp out

Make Out Party: The Pictures

well, we finally stopped being lazy and took some pictures this week. we then realized we didn't stop for being lazy, but its cause we are really bad photographers. thank sweet jesus that eliz was there with her camera to truly capture the night (link below). What can we say about Friday besides that it was the best night at the lucky cat we have ever had. serisouly. some thing was in the air (silly string? once again eliz pics) or was it just that people said fuck the rain lets get awesome? thanks to carmine p filthy for guest djing and for all the people who spread the love and probably some mouth stds. we got a good july month going, but next thursday, we are back at the syrup room with brooklyn vegan and todd p presenting land of talk, tokyo police club with ramesh from voxtrot joining us on the dj circuit. rumor has it something special is going down and you dont want to miss it.

So....another weekend comes to an end. between the three of us there was maybe 20 hours of sleep, 400oz of sparks consumed, and one very happy 18 year old birthday boy. we have some big things in the work so keep your ear to the ground (what?).
