I rest perched above ground
Wondering which way to fall
Which way will I plummet?
Will the regretful drag me down?
Or will the noble push me beyond?
Pondering the immense questions in life
I reach down with my right hand
To the greatness
That drips from my fingertips
Comparable milky dew
It is the meaning
I call life
I make contact with my left hand
To the deceitfulness
That rips at my hand
Like dull daggers
It is the consequences
I call my sins

Curtains closed
Lights on
Show begins

Maybe this is a breathtaking fantasy
I do not want to be awakened
I have never had anything like this
I had almost given up on passion
I have been forlorn when it comes to love
Nothing ever making me content
But never letting go of this sensation
Filling every void within me

A dewy perspiration fills the air
Mother Nature is with child
In the midst of a bringing new life
Softly glowing with warmth and blossoms
As the winds of changing blow through
Mother feels the new changes about to happen
With her finger she softly touches the Earth
And with a stroke of her delicate affect
Buds begin to blossom in time
Gentle fragrances fill the stale air
She gently gives birth to

I sit here in this darkness, thinking of my loneliness
Trying to win this fight, or more like my plight
Wanting a way out, a way to do without
Stuck within my prison, looking at the dilemmas arisen
On the inside looking outward, trying not to be awkward
Feeling trapped within my own mind, and all that is entwined
A want that can never be fulfilled, instead all hope is killed
Lingering in dismay, all real dreams are always in gray
Slowly drifting off into slumber, losing thought of all that encumber
A few restful winks surely to relax, forgetting all that lacks
Dreaming of another day, when I am not prey

Drowsy eyes wide open
In desperate need of slumber
Over dosed on alcohol and nicotine
To no avail
Will not stop the running
Jogging over thoughts and time
Running through life my feet are tired
But my mind's eye is exposed and awake
There are wishes to want and needs to be needed
Could doze but afraid of missing something
Must stay awake for an eternity
But with one long stretched out yawn
It is all over
