I worked on a total of 234 aircraft:

(this just shows different tail numbers I worked on. I worked on the same plane several times)

Out of the 234 aircraft, 185 were SkyWest. So I worked on 68% of the SkyWest fleet in 6 months. Not too shabby.

Then the travel. I attempted to fly 50,000 miles and I was doing pretty good. I got up to 30,845 miles from the middle of January to the begining of May. That averages out to 7,711 miles every month which is flying across the united states and back and then half way across again, every month. During the process:

Denver on 5/1/08

So i went to visit my family in kansas for a few days. well on the way back i was connecting through Denver. no big deal right?........WRONG!! when we got on the plane in Wichita, the captain said it should be a smooth ride and the weather wasnt that great in Denver. after takeoff he briefed us and told us it was likely to start snowing and the temperature was dropping. halfway there he told us it was now light snow and 1 mile visability. by the time we were on approach, the weather was 30 degrees, Heavy Snow, 20mph winds with a 28 gust from the north, RVR 1800 feet and falling. so we got our clearance to land and im listening to ATC and i hear "United 391 cancel approach plan, climb and maintain 10,000." sure enough. it was a forced missed approach. im guessing we were within 1000 feet of the ground. only guessing cuz i couldnt see it. so we made the climb to 10,000 feet in about 60 seconds. did the go around and then the captain informed us of the forced go around and then said we were gonna do an autoland (where the airplane lands itself). everybody thought he was joking lol but little did they know. anyway, the computer landed us just fine. so we got to the terminal and off the plane and i found my next gate. i got on the plane and we started taxi'ing. wut a suprise. there was 2 lines with about 10 to 12 aircraft EACH in line for deice. we waited to get deiced and took off an hour and 20 min late. wasnt really the funnest hour and 20 i've ever had but o well. this was really wierd keeping in mind its freakin may!

Halfway to Hawaii!!!

so on the plane we played this game between us passengers. its called Halfway to Hawaii. believe it or not, its an acutal game with actual game cards. anyone who has ever flown to Hawaii on United knows wut im talking about lol. so here’s how it works. a little after takeoff, the captain comes on and gives you how many nautical miles the whole trip is, current airspeed in knots, wind factor and wut time you took off.

its a 5 hour flight with a 3 hour time change. good luck lol. it acutally wasnt that hard. you can either guess using Pacific time or Hawaii time. i used Pacific time. my guess was 11:49:35am pacific time. the answer was 11:44:15am pacific time. i was only 5 min and 20 seconds off. not bad eh? the winner was 5 seconds off but she cheated lol. she was hawaiian and she obviously had flown this route many times before. o well. i was on a Boeing 777 lol. i could have cared less.

So I had to work new years eve and i had made plans to go to my friends house and drink a little bit after i got off. that was the plan. well i kinda blew my plan way out of proportion and had way too much to drink. it all started at like 1:00 am when i started drinking. i had about 6 or 7 ounces of whisky, then a little bit of yager and red bull. i was feelin pretty good at this point. then i sat down and spotted the rasberry vodka. i then proceded to chug half a fifth of the vodka. the next thing i know, my friend rips the bottle out of my hand and starts bitchin at me. right after that i blacked out.

the rest of the story is from what people have told me haha...

i dont know the order in which things happened but i was so drunk, i couldnt sit on a bench by myself. matt had to hold me up. they let me sit for a second and went in the house to talk about wut they should do. and then thats when i fell off the bench and into a pile of firewood lol. then matt came out and picked me up. then i told him i had to take a piss. he goes "well i'll hold u up but i sure as hell aint touchin that thing!" so matt held me up while i pissed lol. then they wanted me to puke. so i stood by the fense and my friend made me open my mouth and she put her finger down my throat and made me puke. she tried to do it again and when she put her finger in my mouth again, i bit the shit out of her finger. then they decided i needed sumthin other than alcohol in my system, so we went to sevvy and they got me a hot dog. i think i ate the whole thing but im not sure. then we went back to the house and i started acting funny. by now its like 3:15am, i cant sit up by myself, and i almost cant talk at all and i have no motor skills AT ALL! then they decided to call my parents. so my parents got there and they were watching matt hold me up and they decided to call 911. fire truck, ambulance, lights, sirens, the whole works.

then the paramedics started doing stuff to me. they pricked my finger to get my blood alcohol level which idk wut it was, and then i came too for about 5 seconds when the fire fighter was asking me for my arm to take my blood pressure. the only thing i remember was giving my arm to the EMT then i blacked out again. not too sure wut happened next but after a while, my dad and matt decided to carry me out to the car. there was my dad and matt holding me up and i could barely move my legs. then my pants started falling down so my dad grabbed my pants and kept them up and the paramedic was holding my head up. so they got me in the car and i fell over. my dad ran around the other side, sat me up and my mom put my seatbelt on. the whole way home, my dad was holding a bag in front of my face in case i barfed. i never did. the next thing i remember was waking up in my bed the next morning. so that was my new years. i hope urs was better!

Taking a year off

So im taking a year off of school. I really wanted to start this year but it didnt really work out that way. Lane wanted $5000 from me just in the first term and then just over $3000 per term after that. well thats all fine and dandy but when you dont have any money at all, ur kinda stuck lol. so im taking the year off to save up some money and take a second shot at getting financial aid/grants/student loans and all that good stuff. so all the rest of ya, have a fun year, im gonna be workin lol.

So here's how my day went when I flew back from Matt's Dad's house….

July 30^th:

*10:00pm: Trying to go to sleep

*11:00pm: Still trying to go to sleep

July 31^st:

*12:00am: Still trying to go to sleep lol

*2:30am: Never went to sleep and Sherri comes in and gets us up. (me matt and wes)

*3:00am: Pull out of the driveway headed for the airport

*5:00am: Park in the garage at BWI (Baltimore Washington International Airport)

*6:00am: Get through security w/matt and wes after saying goodbye to Mike and Sherri

*6:20am: Getting hooked up with some Wendy's!

*6:30am: Drop off matt and wes at their gate and peace out…

*6:50am: Matt and wes depart BWI headed for Detroit.

*8:25am: Still having not left BWI, I get a call from matt telling me that they got to DTW (Detroit, MI)

*8:30am: Board Delta flight 637

*8:50am: Depart BWI as Delta 637 service from Baltimore to Atlanta

*10:15am: Arrive in ATL (Atlanta Hartsfield International Airport)

*10:20am: Get off the plane and SPRINT to find my next plane that pushes back in 30 min

*10:45am: Arrive at gate T03 in ATL and get on the plane

*11:20am: Take off from ATL as Delta 645 service from Atlanta to Las Vegas

12:00pm: Land in LAS (McCarran International Airport)

1:55pm: Take off from Vegas as Alaska 155 service from Vegas to Portland

3:50pm: Land in PDX (Portland International Airport)

4:10pm: Meet up with mom at baggage claim

4:15pm: My bag never comes through the baggage belt

4:20pm: Alaska Airlines finds no bag or verification that I ever checked a bag on an Alaska flight that day, but sends me to Delta

4:25pm: Turns out my bag beat me to PDX. It got to Portland before I even left Vegas. How? In Atlanta, they read the bag tag as if my connecting flight was to PDX but they didn't see the LAS on there to they put it on a direct flight from ATL to PDX. O well. Better early than late or lost!

4:30pm: pull onto I-205 headed home

4:35pm: Call Sherri to let her know that I got home ok

7:30pm: Pull into the driveway at home after 20 strait hours of travel (and no sleep!!! lol)

so here's a little outline of how June 19th went for me today.......

12:00 AM: Fell asleep
3:00 AM: Wake up (at Grandma Allens house in Estacada)
4:00 AM: On the road to PDX (Portland International Airport) to drop off Matt and Weston to go to their dads house
4:35 AM: Arrive at McDonalds at JCT I-205 and HWY 214
4:50 AM: Arrive to level 3 in the parking garage in PDX
5:00 AM: Waiting in line at the Northwest Airlines ticket counter
5:30 AM: Adios Amigos, I go to level 7 in the parking garage to watch planes, Matt and Wes head through security and go to the gate
6:40 AM: Northwest Airlines 594 pushback from gate D8. (Matt and Westons flight)
7:05 AM: Northwest Airlines 594 departs RWY 28L from PDX to MSP (Minniapolis/St. Paul International Airport)
7:10 AM: Pay for parking
7:15 AM: I take a wrong turn off of I-205
7:20 AM: Back on I-205
7:35 AM: Pull into Shell Gasoline on 82nd and Foster
7:36 AM: Debit Card gets declined
7:50 AM: Back on I-205 with a full tank of gas
7:55 AM: Accident 5 miles ahead on I-205. Speed-o-meter will not register for the next 15 to 20 min.
8:25 AM: Get passed the accident
8:30 AM: Enter I-5 from I-205
8:45 AM: Leaving South Salem while calling my manager back home telling him that i might be late for work this morning. (I was supposed to clock on at 9:30 AM)
9:25 AM: Exit I-5 onto Beltline
9:30 AM: Exit Beltline onto HWY 99
9:40 AM: Clock in at work only 10 min late after getting on I-5 in Portland only an hour and 15 minutes prior. :)
10:15 AM: Get a call from Matt informing me that him and Weston made it to MSP (Minniapolis/St. Paul International Airport)
2:00 PM: Get a call from Matt infroming me that him and Weston made it to BWI (Baltimore Washington International Airport)
4:00 PM: Clock off of work and go home
6:00 PM: FOOD!!!
7:00 PM: Go to the Bates house and pick up the meat from the 49" sturgeon I had caught in Astoria the day before.
11:20 PM: Fall asleep in front of my laptop and decide its time for bed
11:50 PM: zzZZzz.....zzZZzz.....zzZZzz.....zzZZzzz
