SANCTUARY OWNER FEARS FOR HIS LIFE
Category: News and Politics
NEWS FLASH
SANCTUARY OWNER FEARS FOR HIS LIFE AND THE SAFETY OF HIS FAMILY
The main man at the HSUS JPG wants the SCC Gone. The poor workers at the Knox Whitley Animal Shelter have been harassed and threatened regarding our rescue of the 11 roosters in Kentucky. WHY? These dedicated shelter people actually fear HSUS veiled threats that they will lose their employment. Surely the HSUS have no beef about these chickens living out their life at the SCC Sanctuary. The animal Terrorism Act of 1996 was specifically introduced to combat Animal Rights Terrorists from threatening people. Surely the HSUS directly intervening and threatening people saving chickens lives is the perfect Animal Terrorism Example.
Stupidly JPG threatened Anthony Saville with the full wrath of the HSUS. In JPG'S words DESTROY the man. Anthony fears for his life and those of his family. How long can we allow home grown animal terrorists to threaten us.
Anthony's web name gaffman6 is being touted as proof by the HSUS of his involvement with organized cockfighting. This is a blatant lie. The predicament Anthony faces is that if he changes an innocent web name it will be seen as trying to circumvent the HSUS PROPAGANDA.
Why all the fuss. The SCC stands in the way of Perfect Veganism. How can we allow this to happen.?

May 14, 2007 motion hearing, walters, Oklahoma..Kiowa Association
Category: News and Politics
10 Years in the Oklahoma State Prison Again..
Respondents, Michael C. Turner and Robert M. Langford went before Cotton County District Court Associate Judge and presented pertinent facts before the presiding Judge who could not render a decision on the motions and Respondents are scheduled for a Non-Jury Trial on the 24th of May, 2007. The problem here is if the Court persist on proceeding this will constitute criminal intent by the Plaintiff, State of Oklahoma and the Court due to lack of Jurisdiction by virtue of the States Organic Act of 1890 and the Enabling Act abrogating any exercise of States Rights and Civil and Criminal Jurisdiction thus barring implemintation of the "Assimilative Crimes Act" by Federal Courts on behalf of the State of Oklahoma therefore this further creates a breach of obligation and impairedment of contracts with the United States of America by the State of Oklahoma and the Court recognized by the Constitution of the U.S.A. There again this is a exercise of Ex post Facto enforcement of State Law overiding Constitutional and Treaty Law in violation of the "Supremacy Clause of the Constitution of the U.S.A.... It says it all now what say you all?...Kiowa Association...Thank You all....

Activists want chimp declared a 'person'
By WILLIAM J. KOLE, Associated Press Writer Fri May 4, 5:38 PM ET
VIENNA, Austria - In some ways, Hiasl is like any other Viennese: He indulges a weakness for pastry, likes to paint and enjoys chilling out watching TV. But he doesn't care for coffee, and he isn't actually a person — at least not yet.
In a case that could set a global legal precedent for granting basic rights to apes, animal rights advocates are seeking to get the 26-year-old male chimpanzee legally declared a "person."

| Senate Judiciary Committee to Consider Animal-Fighting Bill: Pro-Life Amendment Expected |
|
February 28, 2007
An important measure to protect young girls will likely be considered as an amendment to S.261, the Animal Fighting Prohibition Enforcement Act of 2007, this Thursday morning in the Senate Judiciary Committee.
When a similar animal-fighting measure was considered in the House, Pro-life Representatives Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI) and Steve King (R-IA) offered language from the Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act (CIANA) as an amendment, arguing that unborn children and minor girls are worthy of the same protections being offered to chickens in the animal-fighting bill.
The Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act (CIANA) will make it a federal offense to transport a minor girl across state lines for the purpose of obtaining an abortion, if this is done to evade a parental notification or parental consent law that is in effect in the girl's home state.
Rep. King argued, "I will not sit here and lend my vote to a piece of policy that elevates chickens above the lives of humanity."

10 years in the Oklahoma state prison again
Category: News and Politics
10 years in the Oklahoma state prison, But.......
Still, Turner pities those who are seeking to convict him and his associates.
"They have messed up big time," Turner said outside the courtroom. "We're not gonna win (in District Court). This case will be won in a higher court, and the higher this court goes, the more trouble these people will be in.
Strange, these people were arrested in June 2004 in Cotton County Oklahoma and not brought to trial until February 2007 and now the defendants are seeking a Fast Track to the trial? What gives here? All kinds of questions come up on this trial, do you get the feeling this trial is really about something other than two little chickens kicking each others butts? Do you get the feeling the Kiowa Nation has been waiting for three years on this trial and the County of Cotton and the State of Oklahoma haven't? You don't think this could all be about the Sovereignty and Jurisdiction of the Kiowa Nation and really not about feathers at all, do you?

Six Seek Fast Track for Cockfight Trial: Courts: Preliminary Hearing Waived
By Ron Jackson, The Daily Oklahoman
Feb. 3--WALTERS -- Six defendants charged with cockfighting in Cotton County waived their rights to a preliminary hearing Friday.
Each defendant pleaded not guilty to a felony charge that could carry up to 10 years in state prison, or a fine up to $25,000.
"Ultimately, our goal is to get this on a fast track for trial," said Oklahoma City attorney Irven Box, who represents the six defendants. "We don't believe the state has jurisdiction, so one of our goals is to get it in an appellate court. This is a very complicated case. The cockfighting was done on, quote, 'Indian Country.'
"We've spent a great deal of time at the Historical Society researching Indian treaties and so forth. This isn't a simple case whatsoever."

10 years in the Oklahoma state prison
10 years in the Oklahoma state prison, that's a stiff one!
Maybe the recent PETA littering trial that cost the lives of so many little furry puppies and cuddly kitties should have been in Oklahoma rather than North Carolina?
The positive of this Oklahoma case is no mention of the state or county government murdering our little feathered friends that were taken into custody because they were unfit to be adopted and were better off dead than alive.
But wait, what were five Texans and an Oklahoma Kiowa Indian doing in a metal building in June 2004 in Cotton County Oklahoma? Doesn't that seem a little strange?
And, what took Cotton County and the state of Oklahoma so long to bring these people to trial?
From June '04 to February '07????
And the five people are pleading NOT GUILTY?
This might be an interesting Okie case to follow, even if the PETA death squads aren't involved.

Six plead not guilty to cockfighting charges
WALTERS, Okla. Five people from Texas have pleaded not guilty to felony cockfighting charges in Oklahoma.
The charges could carry up to 10 years in state prison.
The defendants are 61-year-old Melinda Myers, of San Angelo; 59-year-old Frank Myers, of San Angelo; 47-year-old Jesus Rufino Aviles, of Wichita Falls; 26-year-old Sergio Dominguez, of Wichita Falls, and 57-year-old Terry Rolen Hancock, of Alvarado.
An Oklahoma man, Mike C. Turner, is also charged.
Oklahomans approved a statewide ban on cockfighting in a referendum in November 2002. The Oklahoma Supreme Court ruled that the anti-cockfighting law was constitutional in 2004.
Cotton County deputies arrested the six in June 2004, on a complaint of cockfighting. They were taken into custody at a metal building equipped with a pit, arena seating, and holding pens.
But Turner _ a Kiowa tribal member _ argued he was operating on American Indian land.

Take Your Animals If They So Choose?
Category: Pets and Animals
Now Which Is It?
......control officers to go onto private property to seize nuisance animals.........
Or
.........animal wardens to take unrestrained dogs or cats from the property of their owners........
Does It Appear St. Landry Parish Animal Wardens Are Preparing To Take Your Animals If They So Choose?
Animal control free to enter private land
By BOB ARDOIN Special to The Advocate Published: Nov 22, 2006
OPELOUSAS — The St. Landry Parish Council adopted an animal control and ownership ordinance Tuesday night after adding an provision that allows animal control officers to go onto private property to seize nuisance animals.
For the past several months, the council had discussed adopting the ordinance, but issues, such as licensing fees for each animal and staffing and procedures at the parish animal control shelter, have halted any vote on the matter.
President Don Menard said Tuesday that the parish is examining lethal injections for euthanizing unadopted small animals that are picked up by animal wardens rather than the gas chamber now used.
The ordinance passed in a 10-1 vote and includes the licensing fee of $33 per animal that was proposed in the first draft of the ordinance.
Karen Mayard, who spoke prior to the ordinance vote, asked the council to include an amendment which would allow animal wardens to take unrestrained dogs or cats from the property of their owners.
Legal adviser Andrea West said state laws prevent venturing onto private property of a pet owner and seizing the animal.
She said the only way that could be done is through deputizing an animal warden who would have enforcement authority.
"If a dog is on your property or road, they could pick it up, but (wardens) cannot go on the property of the person who owns it," West said.
