Hey all! I need to raise some mula quickola to help me get some seed money for my costuming business.....soooooo I'll be selling most of my Tarina Tarantino collection and other goodies...I'm bummed to see them go, but this is super important to my creative soul! Stay tuned for info!.....and it will all be uber inexpensive, and from past collections which are no longer for sale on her site!!!
Frankie bald....yupper-doodles...catch a shocking spread shot by Riley Kern of RK Studio in the upcoming November issue of the Canadian fashion sensation, "Imago Magazine" featuring one of my favorite partners in crime, Ivy! Keep yer' eyes peeled, it's a doozie!
I'm finally starting down the path that I've been tip-toe-ing at the edge for so long...I love how your heart has a will of it's own, no matter how illogical your dreams may seem, they some how consume you, and propel you forward, one way or another... i hope I've broken through that barrier (as a little self doubt creeps into the back of my mind this very moment...bad mind...stop it...) and left my life open to new changes, love, happiness, and true fulfillment...Man is it hard work...To just be free to be... to take the leap, when we're taught to never go against the grain, to take the safe path, to plan ahead...But that isn't life...plan all you want, it will change tomorrow...and when you follow your true heart's passion, endless doors will open, when another may close...stagnant...that's what I've been for too long...surrounded by my own guilt for not having done this sooner...I'm ready for life to blow me in the wind...ready for that adventure I've had my eyes on since the first moment I could truly see...mmmm...can't wait for baby steps to turn into giant leaps...running so fast with a smile on my face...and love in my heart...i am free
**************** a p.s. note here! this was just a free flowing of thoughts, that i needed to get out of my head and into writing...and it is totally a positive thing, has nothing to do with anything bad, sad or negative. no breakups, loss or depression! just me venting over everyone trying to point me a certain way in life, and me finally taking my creative risky leap...i'm putting all my passion back into dance, school, my costuming business, and traveling...and nothing is going to stop me, (my only enemy is fear!)....and so, you won't be seeing much of me for a while, i'm going into full creative hermit mode!
If you've ever been interested in bellydance, or dance of any sort for that matter, and have been to intimidated to give it a go, then throw this baby into the dvd player, and get ready to be inspired. You'll even see a few clips of me on there!
Bellydancers are an amazing group of women (and men!) that truly support one another, and encourage love, tolerance, and freedom of expression. Many women experience life altering breakthroughs through this ancient and ever-changing art form, and cross the standard barriers of age, size, and anything else in between.
I've been a tribal-fusion bellydancer for a few years now, (still learning!) and have never felt so at home anywhere else. Bellydancing has led me on some of my most treasured adventures, and opened so many doors to creativity and growth for me.
Underbelly documents one year in the life of world famous Bellydancer Princess Farhana of Hollywood. She is a true inspiration, leaving the fast paced underground punk scene at 35 when most dancers are ending their careers, she began her journey through the art of traditional egyptian and cabaret bellydance. Always the rebel at heart she paved her way through the rigidly established dance world and opened minds by incorporating burlesque into her acts, and endearing everyone she meets along the way with her charms. She encourages women to not give up because they are "older" or "bigger" then traditional dance standards call for. Underbelly is a journey through what it means to be a dancer in this tightly knit community, and the fun that happens along the way!
Size really doesn’t matter.......
Current mood: crazy
no, not that!
I mean in modeling! I get so many emails from girls who say they wish they could model, but won't try, because they're "not skinny enough"...And it's truly heartbreaking.
Alternative and subculture modeling is an amazing creative outlet for girls (and boys!) of any size, race, style, you name it!
When it comes to pinup modeling, the more curves, the better!
And here's a reality check for ya, I'm 5'9", weigh 120 lbs. and I'm considered "too big" to be a standard fashion model. Yup, a size 3 is so called "chubby" if you listen to those buggars! Fine by me, I wouldn't trade my bubble bootie for anything! ;)
So, if you don't like what you see out there, step up and make a change! If you are staying true to who you are, and expressing yourself, then that is what will make you shine as a model!

A ranting, venting bloggie
Current mood: irritated
This all sort of leads back to my past "glamour girl" blog, but I feel the need to vent at the moment!
I would NEVER be rude, gossip, slander, or make snide comments about another girl, because that is the saddest sign of insecurity, jealousy, and just plain pointless!
I support my friends and all women, especially in our small scene, and would never tolerate someone else making a silly comment about one of them, like above! Whether it’s on myspace, or in person, whether you say one is prettier then another in a photo comment, it doesn’t matter. I have no need for it, nor would I ever allow someone to slight my friends!
I will NEVER participate in negative junk-ola! It’s a waste of time!
So please, just be nice to each other, for heaven’s sake! I truly believe with all my heart, in supporting each other, and inspiring one another creatively. This is the smallest little bubble of a subculture, so treat everyone who got you where you are with respect and love, and nothing but that! If you don’t have anything nice to say, then say nothing at all.
I am a firm believer in Karma, so why not put good vibes out there? What’s the point of anything else? If you don’t agree with anything above, please delete yourself from my friends list! I only want positive and sweet people surrounding me, thank you very much! ;)
