color me a bit stressed out...had a bit of a meltdown tonight...lashed out on the last person that deserves any negativity thrown their way...

there's an ice storm outside...but rather than stay inside on my cozy red couch, watching movies...i decide that, right now, i have to deliver a valentine's day card to batesville...which otherwise would not be received on valentine's day (even though we're not acknowledging valentine's day)...knowing damn well i'd have to drive straight back so i can get to work in the morning..i suppose i had an ulterior motive to get a hug and kiss as well....

scariest fucking drive of my life...though ended up being very cathartic, now i know, fear overcomes anger rather well...hopefully the voices in my brain will let me sleep tonight...

sigh...i must be in love....that...or clinically insane

but every scary second was worth it =)

i've been hesitant to write here...not quite a year ago i was screamed at for sharing my personal feelings online. the person told me that i had no right to put his business online for everyone to read. i disagreed, saying that it was in fact my business that i was sharing with the world, not his. but, being the weak person that i am, i stopped...despite the fact that writing served as an outlet, and overall made me a happier, more mentally stable person.

i've noticed that i've slowly been losing my mind over the past couple months...i have several good things going, but my world seems to be crumbling around me...in a word, i am unhappy...or maybe unsatisfied is a better word...perhaps just lost.

i don't enjoy my job anymore...i feel i've lost respect from those above me...i hate the weekend crowd, they're rude and they stress me out,,,because of this i dropped down to every other friday...my coworkers, one in particular, enjoy making me feel stupid for this decision, that i shouldn't let them bother me...i would love to have this carefree attitude, but the fact is i love people, and when they treat me like shit it affects me...and i in turn starting treating others like shit to a point...the weekend crowd has made me judgemental, made me stereotype...i've always prided myself on not being that type of person and the fact that i have become one disgusts me.

i hate coming into my own house...i can't keep anything organized...it's always filthy, mostly because there are 4 animals living here as well...i could clean every day and it still wouldn't make a difference...i adore my dog, but he is disobedient often leaving me frustrated...i could work with him, but somewhere along the line i stopped caring...why is that?...i would almost rather give him up than work with him...i guess that comes from my history of expecting others to disappoint me.

i despise the image i see in the mirror everyday...i've gained 30 pounds in the 5 years i've worked at rapture...it's sad how appaling i found myself back then and then to look at myself now...what's even sadder is that i know what i need to do, yet i lack the motivation to do so...i feel underserving of the affection i receive from mi amor...i'm almost embarrassed for him that he's with me, i feel he could do so much better

i've found that there are few people i care to spend time with...and this is in no way because i dislike anyone...i think it's more because i've lost all motivation to try...i feel that i too disappoint most people...that i rarely have anything interesting to say or contribute...when i'm out with groups of people it is more often stressful than anything, because i feel so much pressure to come up with something to say or to impress those around me...i'm a good listener, but if i'm too quiet people think there's something wrong and push me to talk, thus inflating my anxiety.

i have interests in schools...but i would have to leave charlottesville...that frightens the shit out of me...i know that to succeed and actually do something useful with my life this is what i have to do...it would be so easy to stay here, where everything is comfortable and easy...but that's no way to grow...

but of course the biggest thing holding me back from leaving is my absurd debt...this is actually the one thing that i am actually motivated for...to make headway on my debt, but i can't seem to make any progress...i was finally approved for a consoldation loan, but i just ended up screwing myself on the interest rate...my friend is dating a woman who makes 10-30k in a month....that's enough to pay off my debt and half my car...i went to college, i got the degree, i graduated, and then i got lazy...it's pathetic...i settled for working at the mall and jobs that pay $10 an hour...yes i lucked out working at a busy profitable bar...doesn't leave me any less embarrassed when people i went to high school with wander through on holiday breaks...

i'm in love with a boy who isn't in love with me...and that's ok, i can continue being patient but there are times when it's harder than others...when i would do anything for or go anywhere with him, just because it's an honor to spend time with him...but anything under my terms isn't as much of an importance to him...i long for him to look at me like i do him...like there's no where else i'd rather be than by his side, that i'm the luckiest girl in the world, that i'm so fortunate to have someone so kind and patient and considerate in my life...but...where do you draw the line, on love and on doing something to better yourself...can that wait for love, i don't know...i might get trapped if i wait...but what i might miss out on could be worse if i leave...

i did a couple months of therapy earlier this year...after the second relationship crumbled because of my "depression"...and after the second person begged me to see someone...what i learned is that i wasn't actually depressed, although i'm sure you'd say otherwise after reading this...but my dissatisfaction with life was more a result of not asking for what i want or need...this continues to be a huge struggle for me...i don't want to be a hassle or nag...i want to feel strong enough to fix things myself...and apparently i want people to read my mind and do the things i wish they were doing without my prodding...if only i didnt' hate confrontation, asking for help, or just speaking in general

i feel very taken advantage of...people always tell me i'm too nice...i suppose they're right, for a very long time it made me happy to make others happy, to do nice things for them, to present things for them that they want but couldn't get themselves...in the end, i've left myself very empty...i've given everything i have

i think i'm finally ready to fill my soul again...it's time i did some things for myself, most importantly spent more time by myself...and thus i have made a list of goals, in no particular order and in no particular significance or timeframe...just things i would like to do...

*make a move towards a career...go to school, explore other options
*take better care of myself...eat better food, go to the gym at least 5 days a week
*stop being scared...of myself, of being assertive, of speaking up, of failure and disappointment, of what people think
*be an object of desire rather than a means to get off...or just an inconvenience
*to be more patient in love
*to love and be loved like there's no tomorrow
*travel the world...especially greece, spain, ireland, australia, africa, central america
*go skydiving
*learn how to cook
*get out of debt/ create better spending habits
*get my diving certification
*spend more time with my family
*get organized
*tell people how important they are to me
*be a good parent
*learn spanish
*volunteer abroad
*sit front row at a DMB concert
*ride vespas with butch walker...or at least get VIP at one of his shows =)
*buy the '07 jeep rubicon
*take a photography course
*own a house
*learn how to play the piano and the drums
*be more informed of the news and the world around me
*learn how to use english on the pool table

i'm sure there are more, but alas i must go to work...

i feel i should add i am in no way fishing for pity or comments on how much i'm loved, and that i'm fine how i am, blah blah blah....i know that i'm loved, i may not understand why or feel deserved of it, but i do know...i just felt it was time to get some thoughts out of my head, release the negative energy i've been holding on to and let it move on, i am not in need of it anymore...

to find disappointment in an organization you've supported for at least 8 years....one that's been on the verge of being closed down by the right wing christian mafia....

i went in to planned parenthood today to pick up my usual prescription to be greeted with "we're not gonna give you anything, you're overdue for your annual"...ok, well i called in the order 5 days ago, why didn't anyone call me and inform me that i was due for my annual....."we don't have any record of your calling in"....ok fine...well why did you give me my last 4 packs when you clearly knew that i needed to make an appointment back in may...."well someone was obviously being very nice to you".....oh great, well rather than totally screwing me over right now, why don't you be nice to me and let me make an appointment now and you give me one pack...."nope"

you don't realize how important and valuable good customer service is until you receive it poorly....i am still in shock at how rude these women were...treating me like it was my fault that they didn't correctly listen to the message i left or be understanding that perhaps it got lost....or my fault that they failed to inform me in a reasonable time frame that i needed to come in...

anyway, just had to rant...appalled at how i had to force them to help me...and even then they hardly went out of their way to be the least bit informative....bah..

everyone have a great weekend...come see me, since i'm sure the rain will keep a lot of people that normally would come out away....
