Hey Kids!!!

 So now that we have been on the tour for 2 weeks its time for me to vent a bit.

 This fucking life we choose is a hard one.SHity food,no sleep, constant lies and egos is a constant on this tour.We have been sticking it out and continuing on like the rock soldiers we are!!!

 I cant wait to go out west on our oun with Antonius!!
 The West coast tour is looking good! We are getting help from Sic Entertainment in Texas and we have just got word the HYundai PAvilion and European part of the tour is being put together by a major Entertainment company.

Well we shall see!! We hope everything works out.

Ok well onto the good parts of the tour so far.

We had a blast in Nashville!!






We also had a piss off at the gig in NAshville.

We were only oloud to play one fucking song!!!! I was so pissed, We drove 10 hours to play one fucking song.I got pissed fucking drunk and got to play a stage that alot of my heroes have played!! check out the names of the people that have played The Exit INN!!!



Well I am now in a shity motel room in the bad part of Jacksonville and I really hope that we make it threw the night with all our gear and lives!! The area is so bad we had to check in threw a window!!! Well I hope I make it for the next instalments of Big Dees tour Journals!!!

NYC ROCKS, Assault,The Sopranos and Sid Bernstein

Hey kids,

Well 5 days in New York has just gone by and I finally have internet access!!

Ok, There's lots to talk about so I'll start now.

Well upon arrival to the Yasgur farm (Woodstock) we got to meet all of the people and bands affiliated with EuroRock!!

We kinda felt like a fish out of water when we first met some of the bands.  Some of the musicians were really Friendly. One Being Antonius!!
Antonius is one of the smartest people I have ever met.  He is teaching us about nutrition,world politics and music!! We have gotten a chance to drive quite a few hours with my man Antonius and we have had a lot of fun and a lot of information.  He is a very humble man and is a musical prodigy.  He was also very embarrassed when I read this description out to him.

Another nice bunch of dudes is the BR Family.  Chaz and Cory are two young bright funny guys and we had a fun time getting lost with them in Staten Island.  They are not a band but a political organization that is tryng to spark revolution in youth.

Louie Ricca the founder of Eurorock is also a great person.  HE is the elder of the tribe and is a very positive life force.  HE is an old road dog that has worked with the Ramones, Elton John and Kiss.  We are very lucky to have him.

Not all the bands are nice though. One of the bands, Powder Hog (from Denmark) gave off a seriously un-friendly impresion.  They were doing the stereotypical drinking all day routine and managed to get themselves kicked of the tour after the first day for threatening Louie with physical violence.  They have been in New York showing up to various Eurorock events and last night they pulled a knife on the producer Vic Colicchio. Vic doesn't fuck around so he let them know what he could do with the help of the NYPD and those little bitches Powder Hog went running (literally), a whole bunch of weird connections came to the surface and we found out Powder Hog was fucking 2 other people on the tour and had secret help to find out were the group would be.  Doana was also kicked off the tour.

The Models were also very unfriendly upon meeting them but then warmed up to us.

Ok anyway, we have already had some amazing experiences.

We played Tompkins Park in New York with Hippie legend David Peel!! He has writen songs with John Lennon!

We also met Sid Bernstein!! HE is the man that brought the Beatles to America!!!

We played a wicked set and was approached by a producer that has worked with Kanye West and Wyclef!! We will be working with him when we get to San Fransisco!!!

We have also been asked to work with producer and promoter Kenny M.  He will be recording us in December in New York and we are discussing plans to go to Europe with his help!!! He is an amazing guy.

We also played NYC Rocks!! It was kinda lame playing on a tv show but we got to meet a cast member from the Sopranos!!!

Ok well I have to hurry up and get in the shower, we are off to Woodstock for a private party!!  It should be fun.

BIG DEE’S TOUR JOURNAL, HULL QUEBEC!!!

Hey Kids!!

 The Van is sitting outside our cousin's place in Hull, Quebec!! We are just about to go to bed because tomorrow we cross the boarder!!!

We have to be at the Woodstock Farm Tomorrow by 3 pm!!!

 I will be writing a journal entry every time I could get online!!! So hopefully it will be for every show!!!

I am so dam exited!! I can hardly believe that this is the beginning of our Eurorock adventure!!

When I was a kid my earliest musical spark popped in my head when I seen Hendrix in a white Indian Leather suit, in full Woodstock glory! I could remember thinking "If this guy is Indian like me, I could be on a stage like that full of people!"

In small town Quebec being a fat Native kid was rough. It was personally empowering to think that if this guy who is African and Indian in the late 60s could still make all those people love him by playing the guitar. Then maybe I should play the guitar and maybe people could like me"!!

And tomorrow I arrive in the place that was in that movie, and I get to play my guitar on television when I get to the city, NYC!!! It kinda makes me think this is some sort of dream…

Rodeo: 2 murders, 3 rapes what a fucked up weekend

Hey Folks

Well another Rodeo has come and gone. For all of you that don't know what rodeo is its a trucker festival that happens once a year were our town of about 5700 swells to 60 000!!! It's a non stop party for 3 days!!!This blog is going out to all the people we played for during the day. We figure we played to roughly 20 000 people all weekend.

Every year something bad happens but this was the worst year yet.

For starters a new friend of mine was beaten badly and put in the hospital by some French guy that she didn't know. Why did this animal do this you ask? Well she steeped on his foot!! This sack of shit then kicked her in the stomach and beat her till her friends showed up.

The worst part of this crime is that she was pregnant.

Unfortunately she lost her baby and now I am on a personal Vendetta to find this animal and to bring justice for her unborn baby. This Bastard went un-Identified because her friends were too busy running to her to notice the details of this animal's appearance.

The fucking pigs in our area are useless so if you have any information regarding this please email me at friendly-fire666@hotmail.com and I will pass this info on to the proper people.

This wasn't the only tragedy that happened this year.

There were 3 rapes and one man was beaten to death.

This is insane, I can't believe something as fun as Rodeo can be turned into such a horrible event were lives are lost and women are assaulted.

A Day of Action

Hey folks,

Today is a day of action, a day to make a stand and protest about the conditions affecting many if not all First Nation communities.

One of the main issues that today is hoping to shed some light on is the super slow pace of the land claim process.  The claims process has been running for 34 years and over 1300 claims have been submitted.  And of these claims only 20% have been resolved.  That is just 282 in the course of 34 years.   There are over 800 just waiting to be examined.

Also, at the current moment the judge, jury and defendant are all the same, the federal government, which isn't very fair.  Many people have been pushing for an independent review panel to process all the claims.

Another big issue to bring to the forefront is the living conditions on many reserves.  Often there is a 'boil water advisory' in effect.  When babies get sick, the doctors aren't usually willing to let them go back home because of the state of the water supply on the reserve.  This is ridiculous for a "first world" developed country in the 21^st century to still have so many communities unable to drink their own water.  And yet it's an issue that doesn't get press until it reaches a breaking point as seen with Kaschewan.

Education dollars are getting cut year by year.  The living conditions are not much better.  The poverty rate among First Nations is staggeringly higher than other populations.  All everyone wants is to be on equal footing with the rest of the country, that shouldn't be too much to ask. 

So today if you're looking for something to do, why not make a stand and try to make things better for the whole country and ALL its people.

HEY KIDS!!!!!!

So its been awhile since I did an update.

First off Id like to offer my condolences to the Forte Family for the loss of their Father and Husband Robert Forte.Robert was a person from New Jearsy that was helping us with our music. HE has given us frank advise and praise  in the last 2 years that ive known him.He introduced me to people from the old and New CBGB and has got us on the biggest tour of our lives, EuroRock Festival for Peace.I was so exited to finaly get to meet him face to face on this tour but allas we will have to meet at a Ramones show in the great beyond(you know ill be there)

Speaking of Eurorock, I have put up the dates that I know so far, there will be more dates up as soon as I get them.

in other news we have finaly purchased our VAN!!!! we now oun a nifty Ford Econoline cargo van!!! Our Home boy Chris Wabie the amazing artist is doing all the mods for our new home!!!

In more news word around the MTV Europe camp is that our music will be featured in the Dirty Sancheze guys new t.v show out in September!!!We will let you know what episode as soon as we know!!!! We have sighned all the release forms and everything is confirmed!!!

Oh i almost forgot.Chris Blackwell the guy producing our new album has officialy stoped working with us because we have a work ethic that he cant keep up too.

We were very unhappy with the progress he was making and asked him about it and he fliped out and went in defence mode and ended our project,oh well I figured this would happen because this is the 3rd recording attenped we have made with this guy and we have never had a finished product, ever.I was growing tired of his constant excuses anyway.This guy has also damaged our P.A and burnt out my wireless modem on my laptop computer(he will never admit to any of this) so im glad to not have to deal with him anymore.

Not to wory, our man Richie from Timmins is begining tracking for the new album next sunday so we will have a recording done before we hit the road on our East Coast tour with ZUKU, First date of the tour is July 13 in Toronto!!

and the last piece of news is that we are waiting to find out if we get to play WOODSTOCK EnBeuce!!!! crossing our fingers and holding our breath!!!!This is the biggest outdoor festival in Quebec.Lots of huge bands play this festival!! Queens of the stone Age,Priestess and Mastodone played a few years ago.

Ok thats about all, new merch will also be availabel on this tour so save your pennies folks!!!!

New Album,Tours and Van in the works!!!!

Well KIds guess what?

We are back to the drawing board and have put in 80 some takes into the new full length album!!!

Thats right we are back to recording after the computer crash!!.

THis time every night after we are done a day of recording we are gona make a back up DvD of our session information this way if it crashes we arnt as fucked as we were with the other album

Kelly has also changed her drum set up and is now playing floor toms as toms which makes us even heavier.
Blackwell is also using tube pre amps so this is probly gona be the heaviest album yet.

We are recording mostly new songs this time, songs so new some of them arnt finished.This is the first time we are gona write as we record.

The new album is gona be super new fast songs and super old slow songs.

Alot of people want to hear more Friendly Fire slow songs so we decided to re record 2 old and 2 new slow songs.

dont worry this aint gona be some wusy boring album, we have also put together some supper driving new material Such as Amik and Kelly's new heavy song.We also have one re-record of Kabuly now that we know how to play it!!!

...and in other FF news, We are looking into our first cargo van purchase this week!!! We may be buying a Ford diesel cargo van if we get our loan!!If we get this loan we will be on the Road by the end of May!!!We have major work to do on the inside of this van.We are putting in sleeping bunks.
