It’s Justin, sharing some recent developments, since people have been asking.

Yes, the Fuller Still family is one (little) person bigger.

Elijah Robert Brecht was born to Fuller Still members Josh and Gail one week ago today on Holy Wednesday, March 19. The little dude was 8 pounds 5 oz., and is loved by his parents as well as everyone in the Fuller Still universe. He is pretty cool, and the Brechts are pumped up. Get ready for songs about babies.

9:06 AM - Des Moines, Phoenix, and Chuck Norris.

We've just gotten back from two weekends in a row of awesome youth-event-ness. Two weekends ago we were in Des Moines. Apparently Mike Huckabee was celebrating in the same ballroom the night before, but more importantly . . . Chuck Norris. This may or may not have had something to do with why the event was so awesome. Probably not.

Then this past weekend we rocked out with the good youths of Arizona -- a pretty sweet arrangement to go to Phoenix in January. Our friend Jay Gamelin was there, and it was just super-duper.

A big hello to all those folks we met at the last two events -- if you want to keep getting updates from us, be sure to sign up for our e-mailing list through our website. But if you love MySpace or something, we'll update this . . . every year or so.

Peace!

12:26 PM - Show Tomorrow!

Fuller Still-Mania!!!
First of all, what's the best band of all time?  Wait, wait.  Before you say, "Fuller Still," (because you know we were all thinking it), remember that there was once a little band out of Liverpool, England called The Beatles.  We've decided to embark on a little experiment.  In order to improve our appreciation of some of the world's greatest songwriting, and to improve our own musically-interpretive chops, we're going to cover one of our favorite Beatles albums in its entireity.

This Saturday, September 29th, we'll be at Ginkgo's Coffee in St. Paul from 9-11 pm covering Revolver.  You know what that means:  Graham Peterson makes his Fuller Still singing debut on "Yellow Submarine."  We'll reinterpret some songs, and try to accurately recreate others.  It's free, so no complaining, and you can get more info at Ginkgo's website.  We'll play a little of our own stuff, too.

3:27 PM - An Award-Winning Band Plays Local Shows

Hi.

Here's what's happening in the world of Fuller Still.  Our summer has been pretty slow, except for a trip or two here and there.  August has traditionally been our vacation month, so Josh and Gail traveled to Delaware, Justin and his wife Angie visited the tropical island of Manhattan, but Graham didn't leave Minnesota due to legal reasons, and wedding planning.

Earlier this summer we found out that we are, in fact, an award-winning band.  Fuller Still has taken home an Honor Award in the Christian/Gospel category of the 2006 Great American Songwriting Competition for the song "Time to Learn."  The song was written by our very own Josh Brecht, and can be heard on our 2006 release Color and Feeling.  You can also buy it and other tracks directly off of our MySpace.  Way to go, Josh!

Our schedule is about to pick up again, and we'll start with a few shows in the Twin Cities area.  Here's a few we hope you can make it to:

August 17th, 2007, 8:00 pm

Acadia Cafe

1931 Nicollet Ave S
Minneapolis, MN 55403

A $5 cover charge to see Fuller Still with special guests Scott Moses Murray, Jake Armerding, and HUD.  All our rockin-est, bar-room style songs, but as far as we can tell, it's an all-ages show.  The more people we get to come out, the more likely we'll play there again – support our music, puh-leeeez!  Visit http://www.Acadiacafe.com for directions.

August 18th, 2007, 1:00 pm

PraiseFest!

N3002 Cty RD CC

Maiden Rock, WI 54750

This is a FREE Outdoor Christian Music Festival that we played at last year as well.  Appearing this year will be tons of other artists as well as Christian music pioneer Randy Stonehill.  It's free, it's quaint, it's within easy-driving distance of the Twin Cities/Western Wisconsin.  For directions and details, visit http://www.myspace.com/praisefest.  Note the afternoon show time!

September 5th, 2007, 7:00 pm

White Bear Lake United Methodist Church

1851 Birch Street
White Bear Lake, MN 55110

Another FREE show, featuring special guest Alex Wallerstedt on bass-stylez.  Visit http://www.wblumc.org for more info.

September 29th, 2007, 9:00 pm

Ginkgo's Coffeehouse

721 N. Snelling Ave.
St. Paul, MN 55104

Freeeeeee!!!  (Man, is anyone making money off of us?)  Ginkgo's is one of our favorite places to play, and this time we're doing an experiment:  We're going to cover one of our favorite albums in its entirety, as only Fuller Still could do.  What album will it be?  Paul Simon's Graceland?  Radiohead's The Bends?  Carman's The Champion?  You won't know unless you show up.  http://www.ginkgocoffee.com is where you can get the 411.

We're also making touring plans for winter '07 and spring '08.  Whenever we hit the road to play youth events, we always wish someone would have us play a show at their place.  As long as we're in town, I mean.  Check out this list of dates – if you're within a reasonable distance from these cities (and that could be the next state over) let's set something up.  Affordable concert experiences for sale!  Here's where we'll be:

Nov. 2-4 – St. Cloud, MN – JUMYs

Nov. 9-11 – Seattle, WA – YE Quake/Zone

Jan. 4-6 – Des Moines , IA– YE Quake

Jan. 11-13 – Phoenix, AZ – YE Quake/Zone

Feb. 8-10 – Southbury, CT – YE Zone

Feb. 16-17 – Sioux Falls, SD – Augustana Faith Fest

March 7-9 – Cincinnati, OH – YE Zone

So, you see, we'll be all over.  Why not have us play at your church/house/camp/college/coffeeshop?

Until next time, keep checking our MySpace, website, etc. for what's going on.  We love you guys!  Hope to see you soon!

Peace,

Fuller Still
