Can you spot the huge lie in this article?

Should I give a hint? They get 8 miles per gallon, if you're lucky.

The story says the American Humvees, which were "thefted" by Russian soldiers were getting ready to be shipped BACK to the United States.  If that makes any sense, I'm wondering to who, and how.  Obviously, the Humvees had just arrived, and the American press doesn't want to let you in on a little secret: the US has a hand in this war, and even though we have officially denounced any involvement, this is the beginning of what could turn into a bloody and violent proxy war.  Again, it's all about the oil.

Can't miss this opportunity to throw in a McSame sound bite:

in the 21st century nations don't invade other nations (Unless that country has some slight chance of having WMDs, and they hate us for our freedoms)

I am thinking of an anniversary of sorts...  Something that happened in the past.

Now, if you said "Start date of the 1965 race riots in Watts."  You'd again be technically correct, but I am thinking of something a little more personal...

Yes, that's correct, it's "Hulk Hogan's birthday."

So, I hope all my little Hulkamaniacs out there are celebrating while I'm at work, working.

Oh, it's my birthday too, but I'm not a pseudo-surreality-celebrity.  Thanks to all those folks who MySpace reminded of a friend's birthday and dropped by.

First personally owned Tesla gets wrecked in San Francisco.



It happened at 6 PM on Friday afternoon, near Geary and Gough street in San Francisco.  That will teach you to drive in The City 6.  Take a bus next time, or ride your bike.

This was the 6th Tesla Roadster produced.

The Tesla folks assured Wired magazine that 6 was delivered earlier in the week to it's unnamed (male) owner.

So, my Nike+ thing worked again today. 4 Miles, fast with the house mates doggy. No dead children or teacup doggies. She tried to attack the first teenager we came across. He was in a leg cast, I was like "Oh fuck, she's gonna scare him on his ass and he's gonna break his other leg." Well, she eased up, and didn't actually bite him.

Other than that, a good day. Home made burritos for dinner, my new speciAlity. That's a word, you know.

So here I have a hard drive with like 120 gigs of music, and a bit tipsy. Gotta love Bacardi and OJ. I leave you with the best lyrics I found so far:

Just an update on me

I'm back in Cali after 2 weeks in Central Oregon. It was productive and fun. As much as some people complain about hotel living, I am a fan. Nothing like having your bed made and room cleaned for you every day.

I went mountain biking twice in the last two weeks. It was seriously the first time I rode a bike in ten years. I only managed to crash a few times, but never fell off the bike. Although one time I punched a tree pretty hard and still have a hole in my knuckle where I ripped out the scab today.

Oh, and the front tire popped on my bike. Since the bike I rented had 29" rims, and everyone else had 26 (That's how I roll, nothing less than 29s) there was no spare, and I had to carry the damn bike for like a mile, cause the entire tire ripped off the rim, and left a foot long hole in the tube.

So ya... A good trip, just watch out for trees, they are faster than they look.

I went to Portland over the weekend to visit my brother and a few other friends. Got super drunk at my friend's party on Friday night. My brothers wife drove us home, since she's pregnant and can't drink.

My Nike+ thing stopped working today, what a rip off. Maybe it just got too much sweat on it or something, and it will come back to life after it dries out. If it doesn't, I'm gonna make em give me a new one.

I went to Target today and somehow left behind the bag with my yogurt and cheese in it. As is my custom I tossed the receipt on the way out the door. I came back 2 hours later and they wouldn't give me my stuff without a receipt.

Well, no problem, next time I go shopping, I'll save the receipt. And then I will "forget" a bag full of bacon and ice cream. Bastards. It's $5, but damn, did they think I'm really cheap enough to lie about 6 yoghurts and bag of shredded cheese.

I went to Costco instead and bought 4 times as much yoghurt for twice as much, now I have a challenge to eat 24 yoghurts before they expire. I also got a 2 pound block of cheese. I have already conceded to the cheese.

iPhone 2.0

A little birdie told me that you can get the update from here

Make sure and backup your iPhone before you update. It WILL erase all your data from the phone, then you'll have to restore from the backup. Whole process took me 15 minutes.

I am remote controlling my iTunes on my laptop from my iPhone. While playing Super Monkey Ball and updating my MySpace status.

Basically, the App store is already live and there are like millions of free apps and a few that require payment as well.

How was your day?

Well, I completed Guitar Hero 3 on EASY. For the first time on PlayStation 3. I was able to get all 5s, except on that damn Raining Blood. That is really the shittiest song on Guitar Hero III. Every other song I got a five on the first try. I tried about 15 times, and my ears were raining blood, but still I only had 4 stars to show for it.

Other than that, another productive day at work. Preparing for a week long business trip to Oregon next week. Hopefully I can accomplish what I need to while I'm there, and get in some good beer drinking as well. Deschutes River Brewery, here I come...

What else, I ran farther and faster than I have in a long time. Maybe years. I haven't run with a watch in years, because it was just a painful reminder of how slow and out of shape I was. Those days are over. Today I did 8.6 miles in under 7:20 per mile. OK, so I won't be going to Beijing for the Marathon or anything, but still a damn good effort for my fat self.

I've planned out which iPhone app I'm going to release first, and you'll never guess what it's going to be. Well, don't hold your breath, because it's not nearly going to be ready for tomorrow's big iPhone 2.0 release date. I'm going to market it as beerware. Buy me a beer, or send me $2 which I promise to contribute to the delinquency of a sober adult. It's going to be great for those long boring airplane trips that no one can afford any more with oil at $148 bucks a barrel and airlines bending us over said barrel.

I did half my laundry tonight. The important half, which includes my socks. I wore black socks today, and if I hadn't done laundry I would've had to wear sandals to work tomorrow.

Hopefully this heatwave ends tomorrow like they predicted, because as much as I like hot weather, I like to sleep at night too.
