To celebrate the release of Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly’s new single ’Keep Singing Out’ (download from 5th May and to buy 12th May), we’re asking you to sing out in a new karaoke video competition.
This is how it’s going to work...
CLICK HERE to download an instrumental version of ’Keep Singing Out’, then we want you to film you, or you and your friends singing the song!
Once you’ve recorded your version we want you to upload it to Youtube and send the video link to getcapecomps@atlanticrecords.co.uk
All the videos will be added to the Get Cape Youtube channel on a special playlist and the best ones will be made into a video montage to accompany the track.
The very best singer(s) will receive framed and signed artwork, and an iPod Shuffle with a mixtape of tracks picked by Sam himself.
Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly is to headline a new micro-micro-festival called WOOD which aims to study and develop ways of making out-door events more ecological. In the beautiful settings of Braziers Park, Oxfordshire WOOD is a new festival from the people who run Truck Festival. Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly will do a rare acoustic show, due to the festival being solor powered.
Acts joining the bill are Lightspeed Champian, King Creosote, and amongst others.

A bus will pick up 70 lucky fans from outside the Zavvi Oxford Street store at 7pm (immediately after the full band live gig and signing) and take the fans on a tourist trail around London's main sites with Sam performing an acoustic set on-board the bus before dropping off at the album launch party for approx 9pm.

Through all my inarticulate rants on stage and through the song get cape.... i've been trying to let you know about something that has been on my heart for some time. Last night I watched a film on More4 that put it better than i ever can. If you feel compelled to support the people that make your products, to understand that the world is bigger than england, the uk and the eu and that we have a responsibility not to provide aid but to allow people to get a fair deal for the work they have done so they can fight their way out of poverty, i urge you to watch this film.
