"Gray Matter" and Me
Current mood: creative
Category: Writing and Poetry

I just got the go-ahead to write and produce "Gray Matter" from Stephen King. It was first featured in, "Night Shift", back in '78. It's going to be an honor and a privilege to do this. I'll keep you up-to-date on the project!

Recent News That I Am Excited About!!
Current mood: excited
Category: Writing and Poetry

I have just been invited to collaborate on a screenplay with a screenwriter from Australia. He is a very talented writer and I am very happy about this. We are doing this for his film school, and it's going to be around twenty minutes long. It will be cast there and I, of course, will get a writing credit for it.

Jack’s Back and This Time It’s On Film (Soon Enough)
Current mood: adventurous
Category: Writing and Poetry

I have been doing some reading of my older works and re-found my love for Jack. He was the hero in my short story "Jack's Hungry" and now I feel he should be brought out to the big screen. I am writing the spec script as I type this and I hope to get a prodco to pick it up.

This is for you Johnny!

Locker 13 . . . My First Sale?
Current mood: exhausted
Category: Writing and Poetry

I am pretty nervous at the moment. You see I just recently wrote a little spec script titled, "Initiation", that I entered into the competition. Now this is one of my best scripts so far. So wish me luck and I will keep everyone abreast of the situation. I should know in May.

Longtime Gone and the Stoker Award
Current mood: hopeful
Category: Writing and Poetry

A fellow writer friend of mine was just put on the preliminary list for a Bram Stoker award for his short story 'Longtime Gone'. I wish him the best of luck in winning that award, as this piece is well deserving of that honor. Well done Kurt.

Back at it again...
Current mood: pissed off
Category: Writing and Poetry

So here I sit, on my favorite spot at the end of the sofa. I am on Myspace conducting what amounts to shit in the real world, but hey I have fun. I go to read a certain authors blog--which used to be fun to read--and find that I am repulsed by everything he scribes within his fuckfest of self indulgence. I know that I am nowhere near his fanbase as a writer and I normally love his writing, but lately all I get is:  poor me, poor me.

His ramblings and name dropping make me want to shit myself and sit in it all day, as a punishment for even allowing my eyes to read his blog. I'm not normally a man that gets so worked up over another mans blog, but enough already!

On a more upbeat note, I am in the process of writing a story that I hope the editors over at Scotopia Press love and want to include in their next anthology, Dark Distortions II. I have also started another story that I have yet to decide where it will end up, but I am hoping another anthology. That's all I have for now.

In the immortal words of my good friend AJ...

I'm out!

Evel, Lincoln and Writing To Be Accepted
Current mood: cheerful
Category: Writing and Poetry

Hello again everyone. I'm glad to see you mde it back! My first order of business is to express my deepest condolences for the family of Evel. I remember this man fondly from my childhood. Oh the things we did on our bikes trying to emulate this legend, we should have been dead or paralyzed.

Next order of business is my friend Lincoln and both his new anthologies. If you haven't gotten you hands on a copy of his first anthology head on over here and grab a copy. His next ventures should prove to be put together just as well and provide plenty of entertainment for all. He is following up with Our Shadow's Speak Vol. II and Our Shadow's Soar.

Finally I would like to speak on writing and doing so to be accepted. I write because something inside me needs to be let free. It will nag at me until I do so. On the flip side I also write to be accepted by my peers and by my fans--not that I have many. All writers do what we do for a gambit of different reasons, but we all do it to be accepted, either to that anthology, mag, e-zine or publisher. Our livelyhood depends on acceptance.
