Zombie Walk 2006

Well, the true undead weatherd a horrid day thanks to mother nature and came out in droves for the largest turn out yet for Toronto's Zombie Walk. An estimated (by the police) 500 denizens of hell walked the streets of Toronto in search of brains, flesh and the occasional pug or two. Thanks sooo much to Thea for hosting yet another fantastic walk!!! I for one cannot wait until next year kids. 5th year Anniversary!!!!!!

Holga madness

So a few years ago I bought a niffty little camera called a Holga... a nice little "toy" medium format camera that produces some really funky results, very vintage looking etc.. well, like I said, I got one a while back but kind of misplaced the images after I had them developed....well I found them, so enjoy...and if you're interested at all, you can generally pick a holga up from ebay really cheap, usually about $20us.. I def. recommend anyone intersted in photography to pick one up

American Nightmare - A night with the Alley Dukes..

Last friday at the Silver Dollar Room here in Toronto the Alley Dukes with the Von Drats and Real Gone. pics of the show itself will be up at Arsenic Addiction later tonight or tomorrow.. this is the rest of the booze filled night...fucking Hellcat was everywhere that night....

It was a Hootenanny

Tequilla Jagger countless beers = great fucking time, Amanda and I missed the Brains and Creepshow set though.. we were uhhh... otherwise preoccupied, yeah that's it.. anyways we got there just in time to catch the Matadors and begin a great afternoon/night of drinking and general shenanigans, uhm if I took your pic in the crowd etc, please let me know and I'll send you a copy via email hrrrmm what else.. we uh missed the car show portion due to the aforementioned pre occupation.. but Amanda did manage to get a shot or two of one stragler.. hehe you know it's love when I let her use my camera, hopefully Hooch was able to get a new pair of shoes, heh... and to those fuckers that broke into the Matadors van, I hope you're cursed with an uncurable case of crabs and sleeping with fat chicks for the rest of your miserable lives.... bastards. here are some of the more relaxed shots during/after the show..

Freaks in Uniform...

So I shot the Horrorpops show last night here in town, and first off let me say they are bloody incredible live, anyone who can see them, should you will not regret it. That said, the lead up to the show is just the regular shit I deal with, I swear, the whole fucking world is against me some days. We get to the venue and I walk up to the box office to get my press pass, and of course, guess whose name is not on the list.. oh would that be mine, yeppers. Luckily one of the other Epitaph reps was there and recalled my convo with the publicity rep. Disaster one averted. Go inside and wait around have a beer or two. The opening act takes the stage, and they weren't all that bad, buuuut I decided to go up and test the lighting and see what the angles were like with the stage as it's been yeeeeeears since I shot at the venue. Ok sooo the lens wasn't focusing properly, no biggy, I flip it to manual.. still nothing..then the internal light meter goes off, batteries are dead in the camera run across to the convience store across the street and buy the LAST TWO batteries that will fit my camera and pay a stupid amount for them. Run back across.. "Sorry you can't get back in, no exit/return" WTF :| SOOOOO after calling the epitaph dude and getting back in all is good, buuuuut nooooooo I had grabbed the wrong film so taking any shots would have been tricky as I was pushing the film a few stops.. Shot the first three songs as is usual for the Opera House and then enjoyed the rest of the show.. and so yeah here are a few samples :
