"Ghouls Night Out" Halloween Party @ Safari Sam’s!
oShockTillYouDrop.com and Pin-Up Girl Clothing present the Ghouls' Night Out Halloween event on Friday, October 31st at Safari Sam's (5214 Sunset Blvd., Hollywood, CA 90027).
Headlining this jam-packed night of fiendish fun is Plan 9, a Misfits cover/horror punk band hailing from Oakland, California. Plan 9 whom have had several singers over the years, has just lost their most recent to a tragic motorcycle accident. They have decided to move forward as their singer Aaron Fuller would have wanted. Plan 9, plan on rocking the house in his honor with their other singer. They just released their new album and we hope everyone will come show their respect and their support.
Also starring that evening renown bad girl Masuimi Max who's taking it off and heating up the venue with her world-famous fire act. Masuimi is an award winning fetish/pin-up model that has traveled the word with her act and been in countless magazines.
Other burlesque performers for the evening include shows by Ivy Dmuerta a spooky pin-up model who has been on the cover of several magazines and will give you the shivers once she hits the stage!
Don't forget La Cholita the winner of "Miss Viva Las Vegas" 2007 she is one hell of a firecracker on stage!(as seen on Playboy.com and in Hustler).
The night will pulse with DJ Zorch spinning the best in voodoo-billy, psychobilly, punk, '80s, and New Wave to keep your claws tapping all night long.
And the entire event will be presided over by horror hosts Micheline Pitt (of Pin-Up Girl Clothing) and ShockTillYouDrop.com's managing editor Ryan Rotten whom will be giving away DVD box sets, and DVD's of un-released films, and your horror favorites.(thanks to Lionsgate, Anchor Bay, and Paramount Home Video.)
The night will have lots of goodies for boys and ghouls, as "Femme Fatale" magazine will be there covering the event and handing out their action packed magazine to some lucky guests.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Where do you shoot at? I shoot out of my home studio and on location.
2. What does the cost of your packages cover? Set changes, hours of editing,ink, paper, cds, hair & makeup, shooting charge, modeling instruction.
3. Do you provide outfits? No I do not, on ocassion I have a few back ups I use if the girls didn't bring anything that was great for the photographs. I prefer my girls to all look different and feel like they stand out and they aren't cookie cutters!!!
4. Do you have props for the pinup shoots? I do have some, but I keep it minimal, you are more then welcome to bring some if you like. I like to focus more on my girls!
5. Where are you located? I am located in Huntington Beach. I will give you my address once the shoot is booked and the deposit is made. I do not want a bunch of creepy guys knowing where I live or work!
6. What do I do before my appointment that day? If you are getting a Hair & Makeup package please come with unwashed hair it styles better and a clean face. You can bring up to 10 outfits/shoes/accessories with you but we will only shoot in the number of outfits that comes with your package.
7. What form of payment do you accept? I take cash, money orders and paypal. Credit card payment can be made through paypal. It is a secure website.
8. Why do we have to pay for a deposit for our shoots and how much is it? I require a non refundable deposit because I am holding your date and time specifically for you and if you were to not show up then it will cover the cost of losing a possible appointment. Also when you I book my hair/MU girls you are taking them out of their normal schedule also and I have to pay for their time and travel. My deposit is 30% of the package price payable through paypal or money order, it is required to be paid within 5 days or I will release your date back for someone else. You are allowed to reschedule only once for free after that it will be a $50 fee. I understand things come up but please let me know ahead of time if possible!!!
9. What if I have never modeled before? I instruct you the whole way through on how to pose, if you have no experience.
10. What is the difference between Glamour & Pinup? Pinup photography is recreating photography from the 40's and 50's and glamour is more along the lines of boudoir and modern pinup such as maxim, playboy and beauty shots.
11. Do you have references or feedback from previous clients? I have over 40 references I can provide for you to look over and also repeat clients that come to me every few months that would be happy to talk to you.
12. Do you give out unedited pictures. No i do not, I only give out edit pictures on cd.
Your "Naughty & Nice" Pinup photo session includes the following:-Hair and makeup by Micheline Pitt-Private photo session with Laura Byrnes-Up to 2 wardrobe / set changes -CD with (6) professionally retouched high resolution and web ready images.
-Low resolution CD of all your images (unretouched and not suitable for printing)
-Clients will receive their CDs in approx 4-6 weeks after their photo session**Note: Clients may also choose to have their photos submited to publications for print**
-Shoot theme and wardrobe: Traditional pin-up and retro or glamour styled shots in a studio setting. Clients will have a choice of several backgrounds and props. In addition, SOME wardrobe will be provided (clients are still requested to bring clothing)

I get so many emails reguarding being a make-up artist and I have simple answers...
First there is no easy way into becoming a successful make-up artist.
Nothing is easy about this industry at all
I never went to school nor would I go to school, you either born with it, or you learn it
Practice, Practice, Practice is the best advice I can tell anyone and study products and ingredients
I can't tell you what is best for you to do to make this your career, all I can do is tell you what I have done and gone threw.
Be prepared to bust your ass do lots of free work, get screwed over more times than you can count.... but still keep going. It is not going to be easy or fun.... so be prepared.
I use all kinds of products, find the best ones that work for you... it will come with time and practice.

I am having to move out in the next 2 months. I have an amazing 2 bedroom apt in Sherman Oaks on the NICEST street in the town, so close to the 101 and the 405. It comes with the most AMAZING roomie EVER! My BF Erin. I adore her, she doesn't smoke, no drugs and rarely drinks. She loves horror movies, music, and Iron Maiden. No pets. She has lots of tattoos like me, and is the sweetest person in the world.
My apt, is in a small complex, that has that 1950's 60's feel, laundry on site, pool partio and private parking.
Rent is around $675.00
You can sublet until the lease is up in Feb. or take over my lease which ever you would prefer to do.
Person must be artistic, kind, warm, and funny :)... and being a nerd wouldn't hurt!
You must also be okay with watching bad movies like Showgirls and Revenge of the Nerds, and Superbad :)

People email me left and right asking me to do make-up and hair for them. I always try to work with people's budgets but I have a minimum pay scale that I will accept.
You get what you pay for. Work of the highest caliber is what you get when I work with you. I will work with you to design exactly what you need but my rates will vary according to the intricacy of my labor.
There is a big difference between going to a make-up counter and buying $40.00 worth of make-up and having someone personally come to you and make you up.
Experience, knowledge, and skill, as well as using the best possible products money can buy, are my norm. I work with the highest products because I believe in the brand, not because I work for a make up line.

There is a distinct difference between what you recieve at any make up counter, and what you recieve from a professional with my experience in t.v., film, and print.
