As many of you may already know, The Red Pill has been working with little or no budget for the past three years. Our bi-monthly community run news zine has been paid for out of pocket by the volunteers and by kind donations from people like you.
This year, we are looking to expand Grand Junction Alternative Media (GJAM, the group which produces The Red Pill) and we need your help. We are contacting you on behalf of GJAM to request your support in the form of a monetary or an in-kind donation (see our wishlist enclosed). Writers, volunteers, and distributors are also needed.
GJAM is a not-for-profit community group with the goal of providing alternative news and ideas that the mainstream media doesn't cover. For three years The Red Pill has been offering that alternative. We would like to expand to other forms of media—books, internet newscasts, documentaries, among other projects. However, as it now stands, we are not able to print enough copies to meet demand and we are limited in shipping our material to distributors. The free copy machine we obtained last year is no longer functioning. The donations you generously provide will go to keeping GJAM and The Red Pill sustainable and hopefully move us to the next level in our production of community media.
We work very hard to provide community-run and community-centered alternative news each year. We hope we can count on you for a generous donation of whatever you may be able to provide. We currently have a promise of a donation of up to $1000 if we can raise matching funds.
We thank you for your time and consideration. We look forward to whatever support you can provide. If you require additional information about GJAM or The Red Pill, please contact us and we will be happy to answer any questions you may have. You may also visit, http://www.gjredpill.org online or contact us directly by phone at: (970)245-3720. You can also donate online through our website. Please make checks payable to Grand Junction Alternative Media.
