for those of you that think obama is a socialist...
Current mood: argumentative

because he wants to get universal healthcare for us..think of it this way...

those of you that work and pay taxes and are not offered health care with your job...

the taxes you pay out of your paycheck every month goes towards the welfare checks, the medicaid, and the food stamps for some ass hole who refuses to get off his ass and get a job...

you are not only paying for his health care, but you are footing the bill for his new rims on his escalade and his porterhouse steaks he eats as well...

at least with universal healthcare YOU would get something out of it too...

so shut the fuck up already...it could be a lot worse...

After "Black Tuesday"
Current mood: anxious

The day after what will probably be known as the most effectual presidential election in history, I am left with bitterness, fear, and astonishment towards my fellow Americans. I do not fear or have any bitterness towards our newly elected president Obama. none whatsoever. My ill will is directed at those Americans that fear the unknown. Those that fear change. Fear new enterprise and fear uncharted territory. I fear what it is they have become since the news hit that our first black president was elected.

I do fear that before our new president is able to take office, someone will try to extinguish his mortal coil because he is a man not like themselves. I fear what may be the historical turning point in our society will not be that we elected our first 'black' president. I fear that we will kill history itself. I fear some right wing conservative will pull some sort of 'Boothe/Oswald' attempt and we, as America as a whole, will show the world how intolerant and narrowly racist this country really is behind its walls.

I fear that if someone does try to remove Obama from office in such a way, or in any way for that matter, it will spark civil unrest and a civil war will break, and eventually, world war three. I hold high bitterness towards those that attack Obama solely on the color of his skin, his choice of religion, and his personal affiliations. Regardless of where he came from or where he might have been at one point of his life, things have changed. That should be evident to everyone who is willing to do their research instead of listening to every whack job that crosses their path.

I resent the fact that America is still just as petty and intolerant after 200 plus years, when something of this magnitude shows itself to us we should embrace it for what it is.  I resent my fellow Americans for being so closed off and unwilling to accept that what they refuse or can not understand. I resent those that lashed out at the people, who as a majority voted for Obama, saying the world is now doomed to perish because Obama is now elected the leader of the free world.

People called Obama a radical extremist with too liberal of views on the military and that he is going to get us all killed, and leave the ones still on the battlefields to the east there to die. Yes, he wants to cut military spending. He also wants to bring those left for years in a foreign country back home to native soil where they belong. The country is no better for going to this war. We are actually worse off because of it. Worse on many levels.

Shame on you all for only looking for the bad or discrepancies within a man instead of looking at the good that is staring you blatently in the face. Regardless of Obama's political or personal affiliations, he is still a human being, still a man. Still human and fallible, capable of mistakes, and able to learn from them.  Still a man born on united states soil. Still deserving of the right to choose for himself, to learn from his mistakes and become a better man for it. He still deserves your utmost respect for taking on the ginormous task of beginning the cleanup and reconstruction of all which has happened over the last 8 years or so. I'd like to see some of you whiners have the gumption to even bother cleaning out your closet and go about it successfully, much less the ambition to take on the most powerful seat in the free world after its total destruction.

Shame on each and every one of you that casts the stone of racism and prejudice in the direction of what is unfamiliar to you. Shame on you for not even letting him have a chance to prove himself before you cast your nonacceptance and doom speak upon the nation. Shame, for shame. I fear the reason some of you are so against this man is because if you actually looked at who he is as a man, and not a black man, and not the president elect,  you would actually like him, and envy him for his ability to overcome what most people wouldn't even consider a possibility of getting past..

I am embarrassed to be a part of this nation right now because of your bias and unyielding lack of support for your majority vote presidential elect. I am ashamed of how outlandishly some of my so called 'friends' have behaved in the last 36 hours.  I am shocked and appalled at how quickly you turn in upon yourself and then lash out against people not 48 hours ago you were chummy and friends with, knowing full well already their stance in this election. Pretending you had no idea they had different political views or standpoints that you had. Some of you have shown yourselves to be so shallow its deep. Amazing.

Some of you are still unwilling to admit a defeat and are screaming vote fraud and demanding a recount that you will never see. The country has spoken. The country has screamed. And it has screamed in favor of Barack Obama and Joe Biden.  Those are the two cards that have been laid upon our side of the table. I see a pair that can be worked with possibly giving a full house around the turn. So many of you are too fast to fold before the real hand hits the table and are bowing out like a no guts coward before the flop even hits the felt. COWARDS. check your hand and let it play out. Didn't cost you anything so far.

I must say tho, I am gleaming proud of those who mustered up the courage and the strength to get out there and vote for the first time, unsure of what you would find when you got to the polls. Unsure of the opposition that may be standing there to try and sway your vote, and possibly even try to buy it.  I applaud each and everyone of you that showed me, and the world, that the country based for the people and by the people can still be run and chosen by those said people and make your voices heard.

Its just a shame that it took a near fatal economic fall out to get everyone out to vote that thought their vote didn't matter. Now hopefully you will see, that YES, your vote does count. And you proved it. 349 to 163. Keep voting. Pay attention to your state legislatures and your local chairs. You can make a difference there as well. For you, for your children, and for your home.

Now that you have spoken and have chosen who you deemed best for the next four years for our country, it has turned into a wait and see game. Obama is coming into a hailstorm of a mess and he has brass balls for wanting to take it on and find the proper lanes to take to get there quickly and effectively. He has, unfortunately, a long and rough road to economic recovery laid before him. Hopefully he won't stumble too many times and live up to the change he promised to us all.

As one who voted for Obama, I look to the next four years with an open mind and a faith I have never given any president thus far. I have faith in him and will be surprised if he does indeed go against the good things he stands for. as a whole I see Obama as a good man. A good father. Someone that wants a better world for his children's children, for our children. For the working class children.

I can't say that I agree with everything he stands for as a president and a man, but the change we need is what he is offering. I hope he follows thru with his plans to bring the big corporation outsourced jobs back to American soil. I hope he follows thru with his plans for lowering the greed factor within the health care and medicaid foundations. I surely hope he follows thru with the educational equality programs I have read about. A lot of the reasons I voted for Obama was because I want what he has to offer not for me, but for any possible future children I may have. I want to make sure that if my husband or I are working at a company that doesn't offer health care that I will not fear taking my sick child to the hospital or the doctor because of the lack of insurance and being turned away or given inadequate care because of it. Not to mention the outrageous bills that will be sure to follow.

I look forward to a more bright future because of this historic happening. I look forward to what kind of diversity may arise within our country and what change may happen. I look forward to it all because there is no sense in looking back on the 8 year disaster that is soon to be leaving us.

we as an American people came together as a team and gave our two cents this year. Wow. What an event this has all been.

Team America, Fuck Yeah!

November 4th is coming. Where do YOU stand?
Current mood: argumentative

you know. I have sat here and probably started this blog over and over again about 13 times already. I was going to get fully detaild about all the bullshit back and forth nonsense I been reading and hearing coming out of people's mouths. but I digressed and decided to make it short and sweet to keep your attention.

there is no right or wrong thing to say in the election process or who you should or shouldnt vote for.

but if you are gong to vote mccain specifically off the fact that obama is a muslim you need to stop being so narrow minded.

actually read up about the muslim religion and you will learn that they are actually a better people than you christians. they may have extremists within thier religion but so does christianity. and the muslims havent killed nearly as many people as you christains have in the name of "GOD".

learn about what you asshats spewing off about before your puke hits the internet and makes you look like a completely ass backwards sideways stupid douchenozzle.

research and read instead of skim and ignore.

be informed, not righteous.

be less judgemental and more willing to accept and learn about things you dont understand.

think about your country as a whole and not just yourself.

vote Obama.

I did.
