end of the dream ^^

i'm failing my exams. should have studied more. but i'm fed up with studying!
and i already miss Korea...
just want those exams to be finished so i can enjoy my friends here! ^^

that’s the end

friday evening i'll be back in France...
these 3 months were very good but too short T.T

i met so nice people! want to bring them in my luggage ㅋㅋㅋ
hope i can meet them again soon. anywhere.
i'll miss Korea!

within one week, i'll be in the plane, back to France.

hate Itaewon

i was stolen my wallet... why me? not fair.

definitely HATE Itaewon. don't like the atmosphere, not a place for me, and, it's not Korea. that was the only place i could havec my wallet stolen -_-

fortunately, my Korean friend was with me, she helped me so much in the police office, i'm so grateful to her...

but i'm really disappointed because maybe it was the last time i see her (i hope not ... who knows), so i would have like it ends happier -_-"

it shouldn't have been a bad day for us, really that's not fair ^^;

so funny

today was a funny day!

wanted to buy some anti-mosquito because last night again i was attacked by a mad one which made my feet look like dalmatian, but with red dapples... (yeah, my feet may have stick up from the bed sheet again... my legs definitely are too long. or maybe i should make my bed correctly)
of course a seller talked to me when i was chosing one. when i said i did not speak korean, she smiled and started talking me about 모기 in a mixed Konglish/Korean, and even mimed 모기 !! ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ she was sooo funny ^^

before that, went to 갤러리아 Time World department store. after having a look at maps, i took the elevator remembering interesting floors... but in the elevators there were some unexpected floors: B1, F, etc... well, i pushed button according to the floor i had read before and arrived into... a parking -_-

these days, often think about my future, where i'll live after getting my diploma next year... will i work abroad? currently that's what i want to do, but when having to choice, will i be that confident? maybe finally i'll prefer staying in France, or maybe (lack of) opportunites will force me staying in France...
the main 3 interesting countries in microelectronics and optoelectronics are USA, Japan and Korea. going there implies many things for a young French guy. let's see what happen later, i'm curious
Korea seems to be a nice place for me to live in. but one month is too short. if finally i'm sad leaving Korea at the end of August, it'll mean much more.

at last i'd like to thank all Koreans who help me when i'm lost in stores or when i don't understand anything, and all those who are kind to me ㅋㅋㅋ

2 weeks

Today is the beginning of Hellfest, for festival-goer I'll keep finger crossed for clement weather. Hope it will be a great metal moment for all of you guys

Now, I've been in Korea for more than 2 weeks... I'm still as amazed as when I arrived!
I really enjoyed the few days I spent in Seoul, so amazing for a French guy who is used to small-medium cities! Comparatively, Daejeon and KAIST campus are really quiet ^^
Colleagues are nice with me, I like the ambiance in the lab and work seems to be interesting. I'll make my first lithography pattern next week.
I definitely think I made the right choice going here.

Oh, and the welcoming party made me have really a hard night (morning), haha!

Korea!!

Finally I arrived!
It's amazing, everything is new for me. Just so different! I don't understand anything for the moment, only go from A to B without being able to think about anything!
I'm so tired because of the flight and jet lag... just want to rest today. Only tomorrow I'll get lost for the second time in Seoul streets ^^;

Monday, I leave Grenoble, and Tuesday leave France... Hope these 3 months in Korea will allow me to learn much. A whole different experience for me!

And just heard some really exciting things about music. Think this end of year will be awesome!
Enslaved, Gojira and In Flames are confirmed in Lyon. Opeth, Porcupine Tree, Marillion and Edguy are expected... and maybe others that I forget!
Yesterday, I saw The CNK and The Old Dead Tree shows at Lyon Metal Fest, both of them were tremendous! Went only to see them and was not disappointed at all!
I feel like a basic stupid fan, I bought a band t-shirt again last evening ^^;

concerts

yesterday the show was great!
some punk rock at the beginning, well, not bad but not really exciting...
then there was God Damn, stoner metal band, they lost in the final of a selection for Hellfest. it was really pleasant: some "blues metal" and southern rock with powerful sound and voice, and strong bass. Enjoyed it a lot!
and then, of course, there was Ultra Vomit, a grindcore/parodic metal band. stupid lyrics, loud sound and charismatic band members. great!! they are soooo funny, they parody everything: black metal, death metal, etc... they even parody themselves
and Fetus is really good at imitating Lemmy...

next stage is next saturday @ Transbordeur, Lyon. there will be The CNK and The Old Dead Tree. I'm looking forwart to see them!
