Musicians Needed for Rock Opera "Tommy"

Illinois State University Theater (Bloomington/Nromal, IL) is looking for rock musicians for "The Who's Tommy" -- the rock opera by Pete Townsend and Des McAnuff:

Guitar player (electric)
Guitar player (electric and acoustic)
Bass player (electric)
Drummer (full kit)
Percussionist (tympani and various percussion instruments)
Keyboard Player 1 [Matt Richert]
Keyboard Player 2/Conductor [Pete Guither]
Keyboard Player 3
Horn player (preferably French Horn)

Band members do not sing, but we're looking at the band onstage (rock concert feel), so they should be "performers." Own instruments preferred (except Tympani, obviously).

It's going to be a lot of fun, and a lot of work (it's a rock opera, so the entire show is music).

We plan to have band auditions at the end of this semester. We'll be jumping right in as soon as the Fall semester starts. Performances begin October 5.

Next Grand One Productions show

Hey all!  My next show is at SIUE campus in Dunham hall.  USITT (the tech side of theatre) and G1 are teaming up together to bring Battle of the Bands 2006.  15 bands with compete in front of 4 qualified judges for a 1st-3rd place cash prize.  The show goes down Jan. 21st 2006 at 5:00pm and costs $5.00 for attendance. Bands that are competing are Redding, Larkspur, Helvetia, Estrus, Esibus, The Physical Jerks, The Ten Thousand, Yeah Yeah Fun Rocketship, Kentucky Knife Fight, The Drew Schmit band and many others (once I get their entry fee).
