Thanks to everyone for sharing your opinion on covers.  I'm an easy mark and far too often pick up books because they caught my eye .  I hope everyone enjoyed their Labor Day...mine has been spent battling a sewer line that backed up in my basement...ewwwwwww.  Sometimes life is smelly.

Hey to all!!  I'm trying to get back into some sort of schedule (ha) which hopefully means more time to keep in contact with my friends .  I did receive my cover for my next historical Seducing the Viscount and hope that I soon have my greedy hands on Darkness Revealed.  As soon as I can get the artwork sent to me I'll be sure and post them both.  While admiring my delicious Viscount I was wondering if covers ever make a reader buy a book?  I'll admit that I have picked up a book because I was intrigued and have even bought an unknown author because I liked the cover.  What do all think?  Have you ever bought a book just because of a cover???

Random thoughts

Yeah...I finished Jagr's story and popped it in the mail to my editor   Always a cause for celebration!!!  Now I'm working on book six which I hope to make Salvatore's story (I think he deserves a happily ever after...don't you?).  Anyway, my thoughts are starting to turn to what happens after book six.  Do I continue with the Guardian series???  I've had the best time of my life with these yummy vamps and I still have a ton of ideas left, but...on the other hand, I've had some tempting ideas of a completely new series .

What do you like as readers?  Do you prefer an author to stick with their original story lines or do you like when an author shakes things up and starts with something completely different?

Ah...I love the planning stage...it's alot more exciting than the actual work of writing!!!

What’s Up?

Oy, the summer seems to be flying by...which is not a good thing with my house still upside down and tuition payments looming on the horizon :) I hope your summer is going well. I haven't had a chance to do much reading, (huge bummer) and I'm behind on my writing, but there is some good news...Charlaine Harris's Sookie Stackhouse series will soon be on HBO. I haven't really had a chance to check out what other new shows are coming, although I'm looking forward to the return of Heroes and Chuck.

Are any of you looking forward to a specific show?

Living Large

I'm back...yeah!!  Or it was yeah until I found copy edits waiting for me  Actually it was great to get away for awhile.  No kids, no writing, no housework.  And best of all, no one was murdered during the family outing!  Fairly amazing considering there was seventeen of us together in a condo.  The house was still standing when I pulled up into the driveway, although it was suspiciously clean...which can only mean that there was at least one party that demanded some serious getting rid of the evidence (ah, the mind of a mother ). Still, I was just happy that no one was in the hospital and there was still a roof over my head!
