ok, now i need a little bit o’ help
my amazing cat has gone wandering, and has since to return...its been maybe 5 days or so since anyone has seen her. i've been putting up signs and asking folks and visiting shelters and yelling her name in hopes she'll hear me and come running back...but to no avail....so, i'm asking that folks could maybe keep an eye out for her? even folks who live by where we used to - maybe she's wandered back to the west side? also, if (this would be an amazingly huge favor) folks happen to be by a shelter and happen to have free time and would want to look and see if she's in there, that'd be awesome...becuase shelters have shitty hours and are almost exclusively open when i'm at work...stupid... here are some pics of her. the ones where you can see her face real well are actually from when she was a kitten, but it gives you the basic idea...

a little help for some buds, yes?
i know everyone gots their money struggles, especially it being the beginning of the month...and i know one of denver's spots just got robbed and is short on cash...but...if you find yourself with some monies to spare, can i suggest a good place to send it? especially cuz they need it by the 5th or they're gonna be closin...here's the info...
Subject: So, this may really be the end of the Solidarity Center... Body: Howdy y'all.
Sorry to fill up inboxes, especially begging for money and with scarey subjects, but it's true at this point. Rent is due on the 5th, and we've exhausted almost all our options at this point. The fundsdrive just didn't do what we were hoping it would do, and there just isn't the amount of cash we need out there.
We're desperately trying to raise $900 in the next two days. September's rent is pledged fully, but the money ain't coming in time for this month.
So, that's where we're at. If you'd like to support us, please contact Dave at johnbrown@riseup.net or Jeremy at 314-825-6746, or drop your donation in the mail and send it to:
Solidarity Center 1109 Massachusetts Street Lawrence, KS 66044
Or, even better... come on in during our open hours Monday or Tuesday from 12-6pm and drop it in our little red box.
We know many of you have seen a lot of these e-mails in the past, and we're sorry for that. It's really hard to keep up all the work we're doing and keep it well funded. That's the nature of the struggle, the folks we're fighting against have most if not all of the resources, and we, as those fighting against oppression have always had to make due with what we have.
If folks could forward this out as much as possible, that would be amazing...
Dave on behalf of Solidarity ------ The Solidarity Revolutionary Center and Radical Library is Kansas's only radical social center. The Solidarity Center was founded in 2001 as the Mother Earth Collective Library, and was located in a house in the Oread Neighborhood of Lawrence for two years (though changing name in 2002 to the Black Cat Collective). In 2003, the library and community projects associated with the space were moved to a commercial location near 14th and Massachusetts Street in the Oread Neighborhood, and renamed the Solidarity Revolutionary Center and Radical Library. In late 2004, the Solidarity Center moved downtown to the former site of the Campus Hideaway Cafe at 1119 Massachusetts Street. In 2006, Solidarity made its final move to its current and most well known location at 1109 Massachusetts.
Our current hours of operation: Sun-Thurs: 12pm-6pm Fri and Sat: 9am-9pm Mailing Address and contact info: Solidarity Revolutionary Center and Radical Library 1109 Massachusetts Street Lawrence, KS 66044 (785)865-1374 www. lawrencesolidarity.org

things about my life..
are a little different these dayz...most notably (ie most recently), i got my ears pierced (this being the 2nd hole in each ear) at claires of all places (and got picked up from the mall by my mom in her minivan...), i'm goin back to work at my "had this job for the past 3 years" job starting this week, but am helping out at the strip club on the side...spritzing ladies' hands with soap and offering towels, gum and cigarettes...awfully lucrative, p.s., and i'm currently obsessing over the new batman movie...go figure...not to mention, i happen to be sort of "house-sitting/dog-sitting" at a house that has internet - sooooo...i'm prone to use hi-tech social networking just a bit more than actual human contact...yikes...oh and my bike is busted...as well as some of myself...fuck a car...

the computer and i are fighting
i attempted some change and re-design of this myspace thing...i failed except for getting up some new pictures...somehow i managed to put a picture on my profile some time ago but i have no idea how i did that...and can't seem to figure out how to change it....oh well, i like the foto still, anyway...i was going to make this my welcome back into the land of the interweb...but i've exhausted my know-how of computery things and i've resorted to just weirdly stalking people and should go...i should go...

i went down to pueblo
Current mood: i have dirt in my eye
for a cursive typewriter...it worked fine, i busted it up some inbetween trains...it was a day and a half adventure from the land of denver to the heart of pueblo i travelled. i traveled in style and in dirt, in cold and in warmth...with a sleeping bag, and, of course, a typewriter. poor thing... also, met a cat that we were to name royal (in honor of the typewriter) that would have stowed away with us, but, alas, she chose to continue searching whatever her heart was aching for...and you could tell she was aching. after hours huddled beneath sleeping bag, sheet metal, cardboard, and/or plane old clothes, i arrived safely back home thanks to a wonderful stranger with the mouth of a sailor.... and, that, my friends, was pueblo (more or less)

it’s almost re-do new year’s time
and time for a knife...out with the old and in the the new, or out with the bad and in with the good, i always like to say...2007 was full of a lot of shitty moments, but 2008 is...well, it hasn't started so hot either, but better than last year....slow and steady, right? but for realz, things are looking on the up and up...with house and with most things...keeping my fingers crossed, because 2007 was a rollercoaster...i'm hoping for a little leveling out... top 5 things that happened to me today 1. being cut by one of the new knifes i have...it was just letting me know how sharp it is...instead of the dull ass knifes we've been using 2. my boss...she fucking saved my ass (well, i hope...i think so) 3. getting what i thought was a computer and finding it to be a galore of tincture bottles 4. talking mad shit while learning to drive stick-shift 5. my bike

fuck you, winter...
so, i retract part of statement 5 from my last blog posting thingy...fuck winter...it sucks super bad. it sucks so bad that well before winter is even starting (even a few weeks before it even officially became fall), it began wielding its powers over me...i'm now overly-cranky, overly-sad, and overly-anxious michelle...a michelle i normally see come december, but oh no...she's making an early appearance this year. this comes as a particular bummer because she wasn't around very much at all last winter...especially with all that goddamn snow we had...so this is my little huff-and-puff announcement...holla if yer with me... thank you...
