annual update
Hi Everyone, apologies we've not updated the guitarbitz blog for some time.
Lots of news to tell later, but briefly in the last year we have moved from Bristol to Frome, and now have a great public guitar shop open to all 10-4 Monday to Friday, look forward to seeing you soon.
We have a whole load of new gear in as well, just mention Washburn guitars, Vox amps and Fender guitars for starters, and I'll fill you all in a bit more soon.
Check out out stock at www.guitarbitz.com.

Walden electro-classical!
The Walden N550CE is a nylon strung electro acoustic guitar with a solid Spruce top and Sapele Mahogany back and sides. This unusual combination of features offers the classical guitarist the ability to play their instrument through an amplifier, or use it for recording purposes. The combination of a broad Spanish style fretboard and the curved Venetian cutaway make the Walden N550CE a very decorative and interesting instrument. A multi-layer binding accentuates the elegant body curves of the N550CE, framing the front and back in fine black and white lines. This binding also runs down the centre back line, separating the two bookmatched halves of attractive Sapele Mahogany. The curved sides are also made of Sapele Mahogany, which have a honey golden colour that complements the solid Spruce top. The soundhole bears an intricate authentic wooden rosette, forming multiple rings and coloured patterns.

SG style bass from epiphone
Now bass players can revel in the rock and roll glory of the Gibson SG, as the Epiphone EB-0 relives that classic 60's style. This bass guitar is ideal for younger players or those with a smaller frame, as it has a 30.5" shorter neck scale. The chunky Mahogany body and bolt on Mahogany neck give it the strength and rigidity to withstand some extreme garage rock battering, and its simple and easy to use style make it perfect for first time players. The double cutaway body of the EB-0 will get instant recognition for its SG-style scalloped pointy horns, finished in a thick cherry red coat. Another notably SG feature is the multi ply black scratchplate that runs below the chrome covered humbucker and follows the lower body curves. The volume and tone controls have numbered top hat dials and labelled silver tops, within easy reach of your picking hand. The cable socket is also located on the front face of your guitar, just below the bridge so the lead won't get in your way as you jump around.
Read on for my full review of the Epiphone EB-0
