Good Bye Seattle, Hello Boise!
Current mood: calm
I left Seattle in the end of last month, and moved into Boise, Idaho. Actually, I'm currently in Nampa, which is next to Boise.
I'm staying with Dustin's mom, and working for her Farmers Market. It's a very busy store, but it's fun! I get to see lots of differnt kind of vegetables & fruits, and sweets etc... I can't remember all, but I'm trying to.
The marching band's practice starts next week, so I'm kinda getting nervous. I have to prepare for it.
Everyday after work, I get bored because nobody is home (mom and her husband are always out because of the store), and I don't have friends here. But, I like driving in Nampa, looking at the huge fields, lake, and sky. I feel nostalgic. I think it's because I'm from country side too.
Anyway, I'm doing well except that I'm melting everyday under the strong sunshine... but I like it! Oh, and I'm missing a huge part of my life, my lovely baby boy Dustin. I miss you sooooooo much, and I need you here!! :-(
Thank you so much to the people I met in Seattle, I met so many wonderful people there through music!! I will never forget, and keep in touch with you!!
I hope I'll meet great people here too. I'm excited :-)

We Did It!!!
Current mood: happy
Yeah!! We did it!!! sleepwalkers' First Performance at Jubilante in Renton!! Thank you soooooo much to all of you who came out to listen to us last night!! I had a blast!!
I've been sick for a while, but it wasn't too bad... and then, I got really sick a few days ago. I think that's because I was worried too much... My body is so weak when I have something important on my mind. Mmm
I had a bad headache earlier, but when I got to the restaurant, it was gone. The performance went by really really fast!! even though it was three hours. That means, I really had fun. I wanted to play more!!
We made much more than I thought; we got a lot of tips and many people came to listen to us, so we got a lot of cover fee! Thank you so much, everybody.
Also, thank you sooooooo much to every one of the members; Dustin, Jose, Sam, Andrew, and Steve. I couldn't do it without you!!
Steve, Dustin and I talked about Jazz and music, drinking after the show. It was fun. Steve is such a great jazz man. It's like a dream that I played with him, who taught me Jazz from the very beginning, in outside of school. He was sick too, but he led us and made a great performance during the show.
The best part was, many people told me that they liked our performance, and my own music!! I was so happy. I wanna make more good music, and also be a good player who can play it well.
Well, I knew it, but I really really thought I MUST practice much much more... Without everybody else, I couldn't have done anything myself.
Anyway, it was a great night for us. Thank you again, everybody!! My little dream came true. I'm so HAPPY!!!
(I couldn't sleep for a long time last night, having a lot of music going on and on in my head... even though I always go to sleep right away... so I'm so sleepy now)

Double Fortune!!
Current mood: full
I was in Idaho for three days.
Dustin's mom was taking care of me over there, and we went to the Chinese buffet one day. We ate, got bill, and then mom and I ate the fortune cookie.
Mom: "Oh! I don't have fortune in my cookie!"
I felt weird in mine. I thought it was folded or something, but....
I: "I have two fortunes!!"
We laughed. It was so funny! I had never experienced such thing. Of course I gave mom one of mine. I hope I'll get lucky from it since I got double :-)

Trombone Grandma
Current mood: worried
There is a really pretty old lady in Shoreline Concert Band. She plays trombone.
She is like... over 90 years old, but still plays trombone, and comes to the rehearsal every week. I really love to watch her there and play together. Since I started playing there, she is my idol. I always think I wanna be like her in the future. Loving and playing music all the time.
She is always smiling. Everytime I talk to her, she says, "We are so glad to have you here. You help us so much! Thank you for playing with us!" which makes me so happy. So, meeting her every Monday is one of my precious time.
But, she had a stroke today during rehearsal... It didn't look so serious, so I think she is okay, but I'm so worried...
Dustin's grandma whom I really loved passed away in the beginning of this year, so I'm so sensitive about that kind of stuff right now.
I really hope she is okay now. Please, please get better, Trombone grandma!!

What An Interesting Drink!!
Current mood: sleepy
Category: Food and Restaurants
I got such an interesting order today at Monkey Grind. I couldn't believe my ears at first, because it sounded soooo weird!!
But, I was so interested in how it tastes like, so I and owner tried it...
It tasted........
GOOD!!
Surprisingly, it was really good! So, I'm gonna tell you the recipe. Please try yourself!
The drink is... "Vanilla Cream Orange Juice"
Recipe - Orange Juice (half of the glass) - Vanilla Syrup (3 or 4 pumps/maybe 2-3 tea spoons?) - Half & Half Milk (quarter of the glass) - Ice (as much as you want)
You should try making it by yourself or, order it at the coffee shop! Or you should come and ask me to make it at Monkey Grind.
You shouldn't say it's not good until you try it! That's the lesson for today :-)

My Barista Debut!!
Current mood: happy
Finally, finally, I made it!!
I got a JOB!
I wasn't feeling like looking for a job for a while, so I was thinking that I should stop looking for a job if I couldn't get one this time. But, one shop called me and gave me an opportunity for the interview. So I did.
And then two days later, they gave me a job!! The coffe shop's name is, "Monkey Grind Espresso Bar". It's a very cute, cozy, and nice cafe! Check the website out at www.monkeygrind.com
What I've learned from this experience is, that living in this country as "coloured" and "foreign" person is really hard. (I was guessing so, but still...) I don't wanna think like other shops discriminated me or didn't hire me because I was Japanese (not white) or foreigner, but... this experience made me think... since this shop's owner is from immigrant's family, and the manager is from Germany. Other shops were all White American-centered... I think.
Anyway, being a barista in Seattle was one of my dream I've had since I was in Japan. So, I'm really happy and excited!
It would take a while until I become a barista, but please come visit this little nice cafe! The owner is thinking about the people who are making coffee beans as well as drink itself. I was impressed by her thoughtful ideas... well, I'll talk about that sometime later.
Anyway, I'm gonna have to work hard not to get fired! (haha) First of all, waking up and going to bed early... :-)

I'm Gonna Be...
Current mood: energetic
more strict to myself!!
I've been saying this all the time, "I gotta do it"
but I wasn't doing it really.
So, FINALLY, I really started! I gotta do it, so I'll do it. No excuses.
So you can slap my face/butt if I'm not doing it ;-)
(Oh, by the way, it's not about my dieting... haha)
