Haroon performed on a lovely Aug evening at the East London Mela.  A huge crowd of 15,000 people turned up to see Haroon's first performance in the UK in two years. Some of the other artists performing were Stereo Nation and Raghav.  Once all the supporting acts finished performing the main act of the event, Haroon, took to the stage. As soon as Haroon stepped on stage the crowd went crazy and starting loudly chanting "Ha-roon Ha-roon"  Virtuoso Guitarist Assad Ahmed started aggressively strumming the opening chords for Yara and the crowd went into a frenzy of excitement. Haroon got the huge crowd to sing along to his songs in unison.  The east Londoners danced and sang their heart out for 40 minutes to Haroon songs.  Finally Haroon sang his last song of the evening Mahbooba.  During this song Haroon, encouraged by the lively reception, leapt off the stage and ran to the audience.  The crowd grabbed him and nearly pulled him in to the teeming masses.During Mahbooba every single person in the audience had their hands in the air clapping along to the Arabic rhythms.
