Leigh Meow is a Los Angeles based quadruple threat. She sings, she is a pro model, she is Sag, Aftra and ascap as well as a celebrity bartender.
She is the lead singer of Hear Kitty Kitty. The next coolest girl band you have not heard of yet.
Picture: Green Day meets the Distillers meets Nirvana with a splash! of Johnny Thunders...
Oh n by the way... they are really hot.
Leigh has worked with an eclectic group of notables since she moved to LA from Nyc to be a rock n roll star.
We wont name them all. but.
*her first record included john dolmayan of System of a Down ondrums on 1 track and Chris Vrenna from NIN on all the others and TommyStinson (Replacements, GnR) on bass.

*she co wrote 26 songs with Kim Fowley (runaways)
*she was picked out of 1000 girls to front a project for megaaccomplished Los Angeles based EMI songwriter Jimmy Harry(britneyspears, ashley simpson, ryan cabrerra, skye sweetnam..)
*Her whole second record was licensed to MTV within 2 days of havinga master and appeared on the MTV original programming, Surf Girls, CampJim
and Laguna Beach.
*She performed at SXSW in 2006 and appeared on the SXSW compilation cd in 2007.

*working with Gina Schock of the GoGos, she got a spec deal with Interscope and it was slated the old school girl band would be handing down the torch
when all of sudden, Leigh's long term boyfriend, Roxy Michaels(theUndead-ex Misfits, Marky Ramone Band, Texas Terri) passed away onThanksgiving day, 2005.
Since then, Leigh has done a lot of modeling and written a lot of music and was offered anotherdeal she passed on.
She also had a lot of time to think and decided to let Hear KittyKitty be a way to reach out and help people for we are all an army ofone.
She is currently mixing her latest record, already overdue at MTVand Hear Kitty Kitty will be doing its first US tour FEB/Mar 2009.
Other projects slated for 2009:

-her very own, Meow records

-a non profit deicated in Roxy's honor to help troubled teens and provide musicians assistance
-a quarterly fund dedicated in her mothers memory for cancer research
-a sunday morning cartoon geared towards making a difference in the lives of girls age 6-16 including a big sister program
-and finally, a based on reality screenplay, 'the adventures of niki meow'

Hopefully, for all she has learned she can help others and love and music will transcend all.
'If I can save just 1 girls Prince Charming or one childs mother- my life and its trials will be worth something.

I took the more difficult road. for sure. and when i look back on it all.
Hope to say the knowledge I acquired.
Made all the difference.'

my name is meow. im eternally overwhelmed. i get 1000s of emails i used to live my life tryin to catch up with. now i dont care.

Hear Kitty Kitty certainly lives up to the description of power pop /grunge /rock/indie music with the latest efforts from Hear Kitty Kitty. In fact, once you read the bio (link listed below) of the group especially its lead singer, Leigh Silver, one can easily decipher the enormous talent behind this group. More impressive is the fact that Hear Kitty Kitty has made some impressive developments in the music industry including landing "Leigh's 2nd CD which was completed with T.M. Burr on drums, Matt Fuller on guitar and Cordell Crockett on bass. Within 2 days of being a mastered CD, the demo was licensed for the MTV original series "Surf Girls". 3 of the 6 songs from this demo also went on to appear on MTV's "Camp Jim," as well as the hit series "Laguna Beach" which "Summer Waves" still regularly appears on(as well as many radio shows and compilation CD's). The second EP was co-produced by Leigh and Sean O'Dwyer.(Sum 41, Blink 182, Fenix TX, Strife, and the GoGo's.)" (Hear Kitty Kitty).

Talk about impressive! Here comes the latest efforts from Hear Kitty Kitty and I am telling you that the music is a powerhouse to say the least. The self-titled CD, Hear Kitty Kitty will have you moving your booty from side to side especially with hard-rocking pulsating stylish tunes such as my favorite, "Over", which gives it audience the combination of great lyrics and hard-rocking girl power. Trust me on this that the CD will have you moving your head up and down will its strong vocals and great rock/grunge energy—it is sure to please the fans. I must say. You had to have been a rather shy girl when you first came to LA. One thing I always have liked about you is the way you write. Leighs 2nd CD is ELECTRIFYING, plain and simple. "Summer Waves" just totally blows my doors off, as does Leigh herself; just LOOK AT HER!!!! This Lady of Rock is truly a Superstar in her own right, RIGHT NOW. Buy this CD; you will LOVE IT!!!

I love this cd. It is beyond awesome! Thanks to my good friend Shan, I’ve gone from being spoon fed "play that song" to moving up a few steps and buying the whole cd! This was by all means an excellent choice on my part.

Love this CD. Heard about Leigh on Metal Sludge and checked out the MP3s online. She rocks. Totally dig it. If you like Liz Phair you’ll dig this.

Golly Gee Fonzette!

Hey Meow Wow,
Very, very impressed. A great trio of songs there, all not sounding the same song in a different key etc.
You’ve got some great musicians backing you, and so you should, to do your vox justice! Did you write all those ( I should read your blogs etc to find out?)
I totally like all 3 of them. The 2nd one is to me the most inventive, for the fact that it has a standard blues riff on the guitar, yet the song has it’s own element of uniqueness (is that a word?). That is a very tough rythm n blues song. Not the way R & B is determined these days, but how it used to be in the 70s and 80s. A bit like The Ramones, meets Juliana Hatfield, meets the Devinyls ( an 80s-90s Australian alternative rock outfit with a female on vox)..there ya go, I made a minorly accurate comparison! You have the sweetness of a girl’s voice tone, yet it’s assertive at the same, professional time.
Slower songs, as you know, are often harder to nail than quicker-tempo ones. The slight down- in -tempo with 3 is very smart for the dynamics of the EP ( I guess we could call it).
The first tune ( sorry i cant remember the names yet) is just killer...oomph factor on 11 out of 10. They all are.
Like I said: All 3 are rippers! Do you have more in stock?
I’m recording all through the rest of this year, and whilst I am seriously a modest muso, mine will only get better, as I was out of the loop for a few years and am just getting my form back.

I don’t promo many, if any bands...however, I would love to bulletin you. Would you like me to? If so, do you know how to put your music box ( the 3 songs) into the bulletin , as to catch the ear of whoever opens it?
I can sincerely endorse you, unlike many who ask me and I’m not really into their music. All the bands I have on my front page do not need my assistance!
