It was my second to last show out of about 20 from my South London tour last May. My voice is a little worse for wear, you can hear three new songs which are still taking shape, and you can hear a bunch of friends cheering and drinking. It was a daytime show and I think I'd had about two hours sleep, and Phil and Mark had none...they rolled in straight from a party at 10am.
Also, two other podcasts
1. go HERE and scroll down on the pod-o-matic player to 9 Ear We go Again and/or 10 Aint' no Party Like a Rocklands Party
9 EAR WE GO AGAIN - is from the above full show, but there is also an interview, and 10 Ain't NO PArtyLIKE A ROCKLANDS PARTY - is from my first show of the trip 4 weeks earlier, also w/ interview.
Check out the other bands, much good music, and a great representation the really fun and diverse music scene in South London. Many thanks and props to Jamie and Andrew who run Earwax for including me and putting all this together. They do a great job. Coming Soon! Links to a Kooba Radio Podcast!!!!!!
many of you may have seen all these...oh well. To see my trip from beginning to end, make sure it's scrolling right to left. Check out my before & after shots of me at LAX, and the morning I was flying back. Haggard. Many friends, many fun times, Hilly Fields, O and B, Foxfest, Bird's Nest and so much more. Holla.
I decided to record an EP using only a video camera. Does that make sense? Record multiple tracks like you would in the studio, but use a video camera to record it. Then instead of mixing the song, my friend Mike Long edited it ( easy for me to say...detted ed ted ited IT) and presto. I have another song almost finished, and if I can can my ass in gear, I'll do a few more. It was fun. It's also posted in the video section.
My show at the Alley in Fullerton for the Big Smile Magazine launch was mucho fun. Here are some shots that Audrey took, click on 'em to go to my flickr page and see the rest. Mad props to my BSM homies, and thanks for the...something!
We did an interview w/ Jonny Hacov from Big Smile, an on-line zine out of the OC. Tons of cool bands in there, and we have a review coming down the pike at some point, so check back.
