New HIM Fan of the Month Winner!

Lets see why am I HIM's greateast fan? Good question... well besides the out of state traveling to see them... I have been to 5 states in a matter of 2 weeks to see them, (that was fun) =) I have 2 heartagram tattoos, im getting my next tattoo in December, his tattoo on his lower stomach. I have every cd, and overseas cd, my room is a HIM shrine, I have spent hundreds of dollars for mechandise, sweaters, shoes, shirts, blankets, sandals, posters, notebooks, magz, candles, dvd's, cd's, school supplies, ringtones you name it! I worked at hot topic just to get the discount and but all the HIM merchandise...I am engaged and have begged my fiance for my honeymoon to be in finland and so far we are happily going to europe and guess what?!! One of the main stops is going to be finland. I have had a rough life and thanks to the many of the lyrics I have empowered myself and my life has been getting better. I absolutely love this band.. I have tickets for two shows for the upcoming projekt revolution tour.. im very excited.. this band is the best.. i have voted for the last 2 weeks every day at jabra.com so they can be the best band ever. I have always tried to be a site model or top person for HIM pages, but people always pick the skinny young girls.. I may not be skinny skinny.. but I am the original poison girl.. and some of these young kids.. and im talking about young... dont even know when HIM started.. and I have been listening to them for many years.. and still plan to!

Here is last months winner:

Although I am a recent fan of HIM's music, I think I have the potential to be a HIM Fan of the Month and here's why:

I've contacted a few people about my idea to organize and promote a HIM Fan trip for the end of 07- or sometime in 2008, where HIM and a small group of selected HIM fans converage for a period of time.

The bonus is HIM fans get to meet their music idols, and spend some time backstage with them at concerts, or time sightseeing with the band members (per an itinerary approved by the band's tour management). Could this ever take place? It's possible. All it takes is communication, organization and some planning.

But regardless of that marketing idea (a marketing person's brain is always "on" as far as how-to-market anything), what first grabbed my attention about HIM's music was the band's unique sound. Poetic lyrics, beautiful melodies and a hard edge sound appeals to so many types of music lovers. They are what I consider to be passionate poets, for the music is as poetic as the lyrics penned by Ville Valo. They have a great sound -- and a commericial sound at that. They are down to earth, real, and despite success maintain their original sound and appeal to audiences worldwide.

I think HIM's music has a long-life ahead of it, as they continue to evolve their music with the changing times. Their passion for music comes through in all of their performances and interviews.

That said, I am a new fan of HIM's music and will be for a long time.

Ville Valo & Manna Duet...

I have been trying to find someone who has this duet on their myspace music profile, and *woop woop* I finally found it. (Took me long enough, eh? Ville Valo has done it again... another beautiful duet with another beautiful voice. This time, it's Finnish singer Manna. For those who don't know, this happens to be Linde's wife. HIM on Transformers Soundtrack...

We will be able to hear another new HIM song before "Venus Doom" hits the record stores!  Besides "Dead Lover's Lane" which HIM performed live at the Gve It A Name Festival, you will be able to hear "Passion's Killing Floor".  The song is going to be featured on the soundtrack for the new movie- Michael Bay's "The Transformers".  The track is also said to be Ville's favorite.  The first line of the song is, "My heart's a graveyard, baby".

"Venus Doom" International/US release date...

The news is official.  Heartagram.com, HIM's official website, has announced the release date for HIM's newest album, "Venus Doom".

The album will be hitting stores internationally on September 17th, and in the U.S. on September 18th.

The album was supposed to be released on July 4th, before news came out that it would be pushed back to September 4th.
