New Song "Idiotically"

New song "Idiotically, I Still Miss You" written and recorded and posted tonight. One track and one take so don’t expect anything fancy. It is a sad nonfiction song for CDE of Michigan.

Gosh, people, I just rock less and less with each passing second. But that’s how it goes. This is what is left over when everything else falls away.

It’s kind of like my bike since its fenders and everything fell off. It is still a cool bike, but it isn’t the same sort of bike as before all the stuff fell off of it.

But there isn’t anything else to fall off my bike now. Kind of like there isn’t any more of my music to fall away. Til my voice goes and I lose my hands, anyway.

I wouldn’t be so maudlin if I weren’t so disappointed.

2 new instant folk songs up: "Thistle" and "Wish We Could Go To the Moon."

Here’s 2 new instant nonrock songs for you. Made up and recorded real fast without trying too hard; 1 take. If it is lame, that is why. But I don’t think music should always have to be like sculpture, all perfect and permanent. Music can be spontaneous and ephemeral, and that’s what this is. One is called "Wish We Could Go To The Moon" and also has me singing a harmony track, and "Thistle" is just one track with me playing a regular non-novelty 6-string guitar. Yeah!!!!

Perfect sculpture music is all well and good, but I have no energy for that at this time; so this is what you get. And I can’t get too screamy at this apartment, so all catharsis is of quiet sort.

I’m a folksinger!!!!!! :D

It's called HARDSCRABBLE. One definition of "hardscrabble" is "Yielding little for much effort." I learned that tonight, so I real quick made a song and there it is. Kind of long but gets better as it goes along, K?

Good news!

There are approx. one million billion Honey Vizer mp3's newly posted at www.honeyvizer.com, including my new cover of "House of Gold" by Hank Williams (which I have properly licensed for digital distribution) - it's a sliding-scale fee situation - there is a Paypal "tip jar" there so you can throw me a suggested $1 per song, but the songs are free to download or listen to, and you don't have to pay if you don't like the song or if you are broke.

Old recordings. Not-so-old recordings. A brand new one. And more to come, since I have another 2003 John Henry's show to sling up there, and, more importantly, since I now have recording capability and can make new songs seemingly at will.

One million billion. That's a lot. It took a long time. I am tired now. Please enjoy the music. Good night.
