A Nightmare To Remember

We believe in true independence!
The folks over at Last Doorway Productions will be giving you A NIGHTMARE TO REMEMBER! The crew is putting together a Horror film festival. That's right, it's their first annual fest which is being sponsored by Horror-Fanatics and fellow sister site Fatally-Yours.com. HF will be donating some prizes for attendees as well. The Festival will take place in San Francisco California. For this film fest we're giving film makers the opportunity of having their work shown to the public. Do you have a short film? Want the horror community to see it? Then you should really consider the following option. If you are interested in getting involved and submitting your Horror short you must read the following guidelines:
Deadline: May 9th
1. Horror only (accepting on dvd) 10 minute and under shorts.
2. Along with Director(s) Name, Bio, Address, and a brief detail about your Film Short.
3. Please send DVD to:
Last Doorway Productions
2936 Acton St. Apt. B
Berkeley Ca, 94702
Complete the following tasks and if your short is chosen you will then be notified asap. Reyna Young and the Last Doorway crew will let you know what is going on from there. Last Doorway productions will be having a 1st, 2nd, and third place winner who will be announced at the Film Festival. Further details and prizes to be announced. For more info on the festival visit the official Last Doorway myspace page.

Alba gets poked in both eyes
Current mood: relieved

Did anybody catch the box office results for the weekend? Incredible! Who would have ever thought that Hanna Montana would make us proud by keeping THE EYE remake off the number spot. Amazing, just simply amazing. Speaking of THE EYE, we got to check out that movie over the weekend, and much like the ONE MISSED CALL remake, we weren't impressed at all. On our website we posted up 4 new movie reviews. One for the indie vampire film CRIMSON, another for the indie film THE MAN IN GARAGE, and two for the Americanized remake of THE EYE.
Sadly, our movie updates have suffered because of this, so we only had time to post one update. So, when you get the chance, head over to our website to check out our reviews. Also, we want to know what your thoughts were on the new Jessica Alba flick, so leave those comments and let us know!

RAMBO: First to Last
Over the weekend we got to check out the new Sylvester Stallone action flick RAMBO (aka FIRST BLOOD IV). Like most of you, we were very impressed with it. We loved it so much that we wanted to feature it on our website. First off, we know that these are NOT horror films. But, if you've seen the new RAMBO film in theatres, then you'll agree that it's more fucked up than most horror films today. Therefor, we decided to review it on our website.
If you head over to our site you can read our reviews for FIRST BLOOD (the first Rambo film ever released) and the action packed RAMBO (the new film in the series). We also got to check out the new thriller UNTRACEABLE, so you can read our thoughts on that one as well. As usual, just click on the poster to visit the site. Check the reviews section for our new movie reviews:

Also, we would like to know what you thought of the new RAMBO movie. We've been getting a lot of positive feedback from our readers, so we want to know in detail what you thought of the movie! Here are some video reviews of the film to get you in the right state of mind-

We’ve got 2 Missed Calls! and they’re both bad
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

It's already a rough new year for us. WHOA, we just had a little Deja Vu. Just like last year, we're kicking off 2008 with a review for yet another horror remake. Last year it was the unbearable HITCHER remake, which we regretted BIG TIME. This year it's the Americanized remake for ONE MISSED CALL. That's just fantastic! It's great that the film studios are getting the shitty films out of the way first. On our website we posted up not one, but two reviews for the movie.
To no surprise, they're both negative, really negative. What a great way to start off the new year! The first review is from Asian horror enthusiast Nekra, who thought it was just pointless. Our second review is from Serial McKiller, who wants everyone out there to avoid this film like the plague. Hopefully we'll have some good stuff to review for you in the near future! -HF

A look at the BIND poster
Current mood: excited
We already posted this on our website, but we weren't able to write an article about it since we're working on new reviews at the moment. But I figured it would be awesome to present this to year. I don't know how long this has been up considering that I've been on vacation for the last two weeks. As most of you already know, Dan Walton (a great friend of ours) is working on his debut feature called BIND, which stars Devon Sawa, Tony Todd, Ken Foree and many others. Walton sent us the official poster art, which we admire very much and are proud to show you. Be sure to check out our BIND coverage for more info on the upcoming 80's style slasher flick. -Nightmare Child

Back for the new year
Current mood: blessed

As the title says, we're officially back from our vacation. We took time off to relax and spend Christmas with loved ones. Now we're back for the new year, and we've got such sights to show you. We have a ton of reviews that have yet to be posted up, and we have to catch up on all the latest horror movie news. We've also have some new interviews and exclusives to post up. On top of that we'll be making some tweaks to both the website and myspace page. 2008 is looking to be a good year! -Nightmare Child
