If you look closely...

...you may notice some changes. Little things here and there. But www.Horror-Web.com is in an active chrysalis period. Potions of the coccoon are flaking off allowing brief glimpses and what will be the all new Horror-Web. I would love to get feedback from people. Any sort of feedback. Is there something that you love about the site? Something you don't like? Something you wish to see? Something you think is over done? Any comments and suggestions will be looked at and considered.

I may very well turn it into a contest. Matter of fact, I will. This will be a Myspace only contest though. Message me through here with a comment about the site. The prize will be a package of LBC items. LBC is the new mascot of the site. I won't clarify just yet what LBC stands for. Although I will say there is picture somewhere on the site now of LBC.

Two contests! One for the package given randomly for comments and suggestions. The second one you can be entered in by telling me what LBC is and where you discovered the information from on the site!

New Blood at Horror-Web
Current mood: bouncy

There are lots of things happening over at Horror-Web. We have new review categories, new reviewers being added, new content being added. The forum is starting to pick up again.

There will be a store opening up soon on the site. I have a couple of new logos for Horror-Web. One is a zombie and the other one is the adorable Little Bunny Cthulhu. The cafepress clothing outlet will be eliminated in favor of better quality and better prices with embroidered items.

So stop by and see what we are up to. Say something on the forum. Tell us all how your day went, or what you think of a review we wrote. Did you like The Happening? Start a debate on it. I will be happy to take a stance on that movie...or any of a number of them, even ones I haven't seen!

Milwaukee County Massacre

From ghoulies and ghosties and long-leggedy beasties...

The days are ticking away until Halloween arrives but we're still keeping busy with new items on the site.  Head on over to the Written In Blood section for all of the gooey goodness of what's hot and what's not or go climb a tree and throw peeps at those that pass by with the new Treehouse of Terror Quiz.

Jekyll is still going strong with her 31 Days of Hallo-theme movies and to add a bit of incentive for folks to join in the madness, she's on a Blood Drive. to get those involved with the movies she is watching. Jekyll’s Blood Drive

That's right folks, you heard it correctly - Jekyll is out for blood! Well probably not exactly what you are thinking, but she is looking for some warm bodies to join her in the Hollywierd Section of the Cesspool and being in the holiday spirit, wanting to give away some DVDs!  So come on over, jump in, tell us what you think of Hyde's countdown of the 31 Worst Sequels and join Jekyll in her madness as she works her way through our 31 Days of Hallo-Theme!

Hyde can review all he wants, but Jekyll does so love to show up and have her say!  Check out her rebuttals for The Thirst and 28 Weeks Later.

And then get your trick-or-treat buckets over to the Cesspool for some horrific fun!  Hyde's counting down to the 1WORST sequel ever made... Jekyll's torturing herself with daily themed movies  and the written gang is tossing short stories  at innocent bystanders left and right!!  Bring candy... it might convince them to play nice!

Halloween Updates

Amidst the rubble of the server crash, we're still moving forward with holiday fun!  Several of the "missing" reviews have returned, including October Dreams, Zen of Zombie, Haunted Forest Tour and Hellbound Heart.

For fresh off the press content, and to coincide with this Monday's theme, we have a new serial killer write-up  who knew there was so much to the Headless Horseman?!  We also have the latest Tree House of Horror game for you--a personality test.  Find out Treehouse of Terror character are you.

And of course, there's still time to get in on the 31 Days of Hallo-Theme Trivia to end all trivias. Check it/us out on the Cesspool!

We’re Back!

Yes, we were down--now we're back!  Emails are working again, a few reviews are still missing and will be reposted by the reviewers, and the banner ads are being fixed.  Of course, this means that you can resume playing in the Halloween games!!  Because of the server issue, the 3-day rule has been waved and you can send your answers for the 31 Days of Hallo-Theme for days 7-10, as well as the comics quizzes on the Halloween Page.  Go... play!

Bring on Bart!

9finger's tribute to the Simpsons "Tree House of Horror" episodes is officially underway!  Check out the wordfind and crossword puzzles today... and wait, patiently Grasshopper, for the personality test and quiz in the coming weeks!  Unfamiliar with the Tree House? Well, either you're just not a fan of the Simpsons or don't own a T.V. [because it's hard to miss the commercials and commercialization of this little yellow family].  But you can rectify that!  Rent previous year's, or just find that friend [we all have one] that can quote them line for line, and you'll do just fine on these games...

In other news, we haven't forgotten how to review... yet!  Hyde, trapped in the closet as he hid out from the zombies that took over his workplace, did a little catching up.  He agreed with Jekyll's assessment of the 1976 film Food of the Gods but, having waited for video, disagrees with her feelings toward 1408. For new films, he tossed a thumbs down at Species : The Awakening and a thumbs up at Wrong Turn 2 : Dead End. He has since come out of hiding, having found out that his co-workers weren't really zombies--it was just a Monday!
