Hyperbubble - Synesthesia (Little 022)
If you've been searching for a quick fix of electronic bubblegum punk from the 22nd century to help you through the credit crunch then it's your lucky day in the shape of Hyperbubbles' 'Synesthesia E.P.'. Available on the Filthy Little Angels website (filthylittleangels.com), the E.P. has five (yes 5!) different remixes of the 'Synesthesia', the opening track on last years fantabulous 'Airbrushed Alibis' LP plus a bonus track in the shape of 'Vending Machine (Live @ Luminaria 2008)'.
As poppy as an Afghanistan opium field and equally addictive, Hyperbubble pitch their tent somewhere between the glacial electro cool of Ladytron and the hyper pop of 'Love Shack' period B52s or late 70s cartoon punksters The Rezillos. For those who remember the first synth led revolution Hyperbubble are somewhere between the machine music of John Foxx and the bouncy electro pop of early Depeche Mode.
Just as the Nostradamus of punk Poly Styrene predicted over 30 years ago (god was it really that long ago? Now I feel old!) Hyperbubble are here to turn the world dayglo.

Hyperbubble AIRBRUSHED ALIBIS Filthy Little Angels
Retro-techno-bubblegum pop for robots and the kids who love them! It's happy feel-so-good-lucky joyousness that loves drum machines and microkorgs, like The B-52's doing New Order Devo on a minimalist scale. It's like robot love machines playing 80's wave to seduce the kids until everyone is dancing in binary.
There are nifty pop blips and rock beeps, and cuteness abounds in a robotic way. It's like The Cars crashing into The Faint and taking them back in time to give them happy pills. Or Freezepop jamming on a version of M's "Pop Muzik" with Ladytron in the back seat of a spaceship, but there's only two of them. It's like that Pulsars song about the Silicon Teens, but it's about Hyperbubbles instead.
The Humans are dead.

Throughout May 2008, Hyperbubble will be doing a mini-tour of England and Scotland, performing live dates and doing radio/press interviews. We'll also begin recording our 3rd album in London. Our UK-based record label, Filthy Little Angels ( www.filthylittleangels.com ), have been gracious enough to help us with this tour, and have invited us to play their FLA's Brave New World record label showcase in Manchester.
Club Olum, Psyklopz,FLA, The Lovely Eggs, Billy Ruffian, and Shock and Awe have all been super-cool in helping us book shows (thanks, y'all). Our first performance will be in Lancaster with The Lovely Eggs, followed by the Filthy Little Angels Brave New World artist showcase at The Castle in Manchester. Scotland will also get a double-dose of Hyperlovin' at the legendary techno clubs, Club Olum and Club Psyklopz in Glasgow, then finish up the mini-tour in Edinburg with Filthy Little Angels labelmates Shock and Awe.
This is an extra special event that fans, press and technopop lovers don't want to miss!

Hyperbubble appear on new Femme Fatality CD...TX CD release party MAY 8 !

THURSDAY, MAY 8 Femme Fatality Texas CD release party with Hyperbubble and Screaming Mechanical Brain POPARAZZI NIGHT at ATOMIX club 1902 Mccullough Ave, San Antonio, Texas 78212 doors open at 9 ALL AGES $3 bar with ID
ONCE IS NOT ENOUGH.
Real-life brothers Mononani and Alexander Palermo spew robotic rhymes with metronomic precision over throbbing beats cobbled together from 90s hip-hop and batcave-dwelling synth-punk. Their live show is even more bananas, with films, hand-held lights and audience participation contributing to the debauched-discotheque atmosphere. Above all, however, Femme Fatality keep people guessing about their intentions -- is the pair serious, or is it all a cheeky ironic joke? After all, it takes a special band to cover EMF's cheeseball hit "Unbelievable" -- and still whip the crowd into an appreciative frenzy in the process.
On their second album, ONE'S NOT ENOUGH, scheduled for release May 2008 on the StickFigure label, the Casio casanovas combine superfreak techno beats with rapid-fire vocal tricks to create a full-out, fishnet-shredding dance party.
Hyperbubble fans will have another treasure to add to their collection, as we've contributed vocals to a kinky little future-funk track on the album called "Come On...Come Out". To celebrate this, Femme Fatality's massive US tour will include a TX CD release party with Hyperbubble at ATOMIX, in San Antonio!
Femme Fatality and Hyperbubble will be joined by Screaming Mechanical Brain ( from Minneapolis, Minnesota), a seamless blend of rock, metal, and electronica. Their live show is like watching angry alien gorillas randomly pressing buttons on a nuclear warhead ten feet in front of you. You know you should get out, you know you are in real danger, but you just can't stop looking until it's over.
This is Hyperbubble's last SA performance before the UK tour, so come to the show and buy lots of merch! That way we can represent San Antonio to our friends overseas properly, with tummies full of fish 'n' chips.
